Yes—Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 arrived on Netflix on May 1, 2026, in the United States and several other regions. As of the August 18, 2026 update, it is not an upcoming release. Netflix catalogs are licensed by country, however, so viewers elsewhere must check their local title page.
Is Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 on Netflix?

That date should not be read as a worldwide Netflix launch. Netflix operates separate country catalogs, and a title can be licensed in one territory while absent in another. There is no single reliable worldwide Netflix release hour to quote retroactively. Netflix says originals commonly launch at midnight Pacific, while licensed titles can follow different, title-specific or local schedules (Netflix Help).

The May 1 rollout was reported for the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand, plus other regions outside Asia. No complete official country-by-country list is established by the available reporting, so availability in any unlisted country should be treated as unconfirmed.

Season 2 is also listed among Netflix subscription-streaming services on the official Japanese Jujutsu Kaisen site. That confirms a Japanese Netflix listing, not identical availability in the United States or every other market.
How to watch it on Netflix
- Open Netflix while connected from your actual country.
- Search for Jujutsu Kaisen rather than relying only on the New Releases row.
- Open the series page and use the season selector to choose Season 2.
- Start an episode. If the season selector is present, the season is included in that local catalog and normally plays under your existing Netflix subscription.
Plan features, audio tracks, subtitles and language options can differ by country. Check the local title page for those details instead of assuming that a U.S. listing or another region’s page applies to you.

Why does Netflix show only Season 1?
If Season 2 is missing, work through this checklist:
- Regional licensing: an entire season may be unavailable in your country even when Season 1 is present. (Netflix Help)
- VPN or proxy: Netflix says VPN use can change which titles are visible. Turn it off and reload.
- Profile restrictions: test an unrestricted adult profile; maturity settings can hide a title.
- Stale app data: update or restart the Netflix app, sign out and back in, or try the website.
- Catalog confusion: make sure you are not opening Jujutsu Kaisen 0 or a Season 3 listing instead of Season 2.
Netflix specifically identifies country rights, VPN status, profile ratings and language settings as reasons a show may not appear (Netflix’s missing-title guidance). Do not assume a VPN is a legitimate way to bypass regional restrictions; it can conflict with service terms and may make the catalog less accurate.

Season 2 opens with a flashback focused on Gojo and Geto as students, explaining their earlier relationship before the story moves into the present-day Shibuya Incident. It therefore does not proceed as a simple scene-by-scene continuation of Season 1’s finale, although it eventually returns to the contemporary storyline. Crunchyroll’s premiere description outlines the opening Hidden Inventory story without requiring spoilers.
Do you need to watch Jujutsu Kaisen 0 first?
No. Season 2 can be understood without the film, but Jujutsu Kaisen 0 adds useful context for Yuta Okkotsu, Rika and Suguru Geto. A helpful, non-mandatory order for new viewers is:
- Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1
- Jujutsu Kaisen 0
- Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2
- Season 3, when available in your region
Netflix or Crunchyroll?
