What happens to Yuta in Chapter 269?
Yuta is back in his own body. His brain had been transplanted into Gojo’s body using Kenjaku’s technique, but the arrangement was temporary. When the copied technique burned out, Yuta was able to reconnect with Rika and return to the body she and Shoko had preserved with reverse cursed technique.

That resolves the immediate cliffhanger: Yuta survives, and he is not left permanently inhabiting Gojo’s body. Rika’s role as Yuta’s external store of copied techniques is central to how his return becomes possible.
Is Gojo really dead?
Chapter 269 does not bring Gojo back to life. His body served as the vessel for Yuta’s technique; Yuta’s return restores Yuta, not Gojo. The chapter therefore confirms Yuta’s survival without reversing Gojo’s fate.

What else happens in the chapter?
The chapter shifts to the aftermath of the Shinjuku Showdown. Maki confronts Yuta over his part in the raid, while Yuji and Megumi try to apologize. Kusakabe redirects blame toward the adults, including Gojo’s earlier choice not to kill Yuji and Kenjaku’s manipulation of him. This account follows a secondary chapter summary rather than an independently verified official English translation.
