Since WWE released her in April 2021, Jessica McKay—known there as Billie Kay—has continued wrestling with Cassie Lee as The IInspiration, stepped away from the ring to focus on family and other priorities, pursued acting, and returned to tag-team competition in 2025. Her post-WWE story has been a series of changes in focus, not a retirement.
Who is Jessica McKay?
Jessica McKay is the Australian wrestler who performed in WWE as Billie Kay. She and Cassie Lee, who wrestled in WWE as Peyton Royce, became known as The IIconics. After leaving WWE, the pair continued their partnership under a new name: The IInspiration.
What happened after WWE released her?
WWE released McKay and Lee in April 2021. In interviews afterward, they said they intended to keep working together. They adopted the name The IInspiration, presenting it as an evolution of The IIconics rather than a clean break from their shared identity. McKay described the change as a way to show both their comedy and more competitive sides. Wrestling Inc.’s 2021 interview quoted her: “I think it’s the perfect evolution, because The IIconics were somewhat seen as a comedy tag team.”
How did The IInspiration fare in Impact?
The team made its Impact Wrestling debut at Bound for Glory in October 2021. They won the Knockouts Tag Team Championship in their debut match, giving McKay and Lee an immediate title success outside WWE. Impact later became known as TNA; references to their later appearances use that name.

Why did McKay step away from wrestling?
In 2022, The IInspiration announced they were stepping away from in-ring activity. That was a pause, not a retirement announcement. In a 2023 interview, McKay connected the decision to family plans and wanting to pursue other priorities. The distinction matters: she later returned to tag-team wrestling with Lee.
What did she do during the break?
Podcasting
McKay and Lee revived their podcast, Off Her Chops, for a third season in 2023 on Premier Streaming Network. The dated report establishes that revival, but not whether the podcast is still releasing episodes.

When did Jessica McKay return to the ring?
McKay and Lee reunited in competition at Prestige Wrestling in April 2025, their first tag-team match together in three years. McKay told Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown: “It was absolutely incredible to get back in the ring at Prestige this past April, it had been three years since Cassie and I had had a tag team match together, and honestly we were ready for it.” She said the pair had been training at Flatbacks Wrestling School in Orlando since October 2024.
