What is Jensen Ackles’ new series?
UPI reported on September 22, 2026, that MGM+ announced Rules of Prey, an adaptation of John Sandford’s novel, with Ackles cast as Lucas Davenport. The reported premise follows an ingenious serial killer targeting Minneapolis residents and the psychological duel between the killer and the investigator. UPI’s report identifies the novel as the source material.
The title is adapted from Sandford’s crime fiction; it is not reported as a tie-in to Supernatural. Readers interested in the source story can look for Sandford’s original Rules of Prey novel, rather than a series tie-in edition.
Is Rules of Prey like Supernatural?
