The resemblance to The Rachel is understandable: both looks use layers to frame the face. But the 2024 cut was sleeker and less heavily layered. ELLE noted that it had fewer layers than the Friends-era style, while Vogue described it as a more current interpretation. The Associated Press used “iconic ‘Rachel’ haircut” as shorthand in its red-carpet coverage; the more detailed descriptions support calling this a modern nod rather than an exact revival.
