For an always-on YouTube stream of recorded church sermons, choose a cloud playout service that can loop your videos without keeping a church computer online. StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it runs from the cloud, streams uploaded videos to YouTube at their original quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. Gyre is listed by YouTube as a cloud-based option for 24/7 prerecorded streaming; playout.video describes a church-focused workflow with scheduled broadcasts and a continuous sermon loop. Whichever service you choose, plan sermon archives separately: YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours may be automatically archived, while streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all.
What to compare before choosing a service
A church’s requirements often include more than keeping a stream online. Check whether a service can loop a library continuously, schedule particular broadcasts, interrupt the loop for a live service, preserve individual sermon recordings, and send the stream to the destinations the church needs. Also check storage, stream limits, recovery procedures, support, and the full current cost. The available product descriptions do not establish comparable current prices or plan limits for the other services below, so verify those details directly before committing.
- Looping and scheduling: Can it run an ongoing sermon rotation and schedule a particular service?
- Live-service handoff: Can a live service take over from the recorded loop, and how does the transition work?
- Archive: Does the church retain local master recordings and publish sermons individually as well as streaming them?
- Destinations: Is YouTube enough, or does the church need distribution elsewhere too?
- Resilience and support: What reconnect behavior, monitoring, and support are documented—and which claims come from the vendor rather than independent evaluation?
- Limits and total cost: Confirm storage, quality, channel count, schedule limits, subscription charges, and any usage costs on the current plan.
Cloud services for recorded sermons
| Rank | Service | What is established | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | StreamNeo | Cloud service for keeping uploaded videos live on YouTube around the clock; it supports looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot. The first day is free with no card. | Check whether its YouTube-only uploaded-video workflow fits the church’s schedule and live-service handoff needs. |
| 2 | Gyre | YouTube’s verified-encoder directory describes Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos on YouTube. | Current plan and storage limits, schedule controls, recovery process, pricing, and support terms. |
| 3 | playout.video | Its church page describes scheduled services and a 24/7 sermon loop, with YouTube and other destinations. | Current plan limits, destinations at each tier, live override behavior, and pricing. |
| 4 | StreamZop | The vendor describes a cloud service that continuously loops prerecorded video to YouTube over RTMP. | Independent reliability evidence, current plan terms, upload and storage limits, and pricing. |
| 5 | LiveGoLive | The vendor describes scheduled or continuous cloud streaming from prerecorded media and claims automatic recovery. | Independent confirmation of recovery, stream limits, current plan terms, and pricing. |
| 6 | AWS Elemental MediaLive | YouTube lists it as a verified encoder and describes it as broadcast-grade live video processing. | Whether its setup and operating costs suit a church sermon-loop workflow; YouTube’s listing does not present it as a turnkey sermon-loop service. |
YouTube says its verified encoders are not made by YouTube. Directory inclusion is a compatibility signal, not an endorsement of service quality. Vendor descriptions—including claims about reliability or recovery—should not be treated as independent reliability evaluations.
StreamNeo for a YouTube sermon loop
StreamNeo is a cloud service from Yorker Media for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. You upload a recording or create a playlist, add the YouTube stream key once, and start the stream; its cloud handles the ongoing loop, so the church computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It streams to YouTube only and plays uploaded videos rather than going live from a camera.

Keep the YouTube archive separate from the 24/7 stream
YouTube Help says streams shorter than 12 hours may be automatically archived. A stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. An uninterrupted around-the-clock stream therefore should not be treated as a dependable archive of every sermon. YouTube’s guidance is: “We recommend recording a local archive as a backup.” Keep local sermon masters, then upload individual sermons or segments when you want durable, separately discoverable recordings.
How the YouTube connection works
YouTube supports webcam, mobile, and encoder-based live streaming. An encoder-based setup uses YouTube’s Live server URL and stream key; YouTube explains, “An encoder converts your video into a digital format to stream on YouTube.” First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, so allow time before a planned launch. With a cloud playout service, the provider handles ongoing playout and encoding on its infrastructure; confirm how it connects to the church’s channel and whether it supports scheduling, looping, live overrides, and a separately saved recording.

Copyright and channel readiness
Before putting a sermon library on a continuous public stream, confirm that the church has permission for every video and audio element it uses, including music, performances, and third-party clips. A live stream being prerecorded does not remove the need to respect rights. YouTube’s archive behavior also makes a local copy important if the church needs a reliable record. For a practical preflight, use the copyright safety checklist and make a separate archive and upload plan for individual sermons.

A managed cloud service avoids keeping a local computer encoding continuously, but compare the subscription against the church’s actual needs: number of simultaneous channels, library size, scheduling, destinations, and the need to switch to live services. For StreamNeo, the first day is free with no card and the monthly option is $9.99 per month. Use the upload-time calculator to estimate media transfer time and the cloud vs PC cost calculator to compare managed playout with a computer-based setup.
