The Jacob & Co. Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary is a 50-piece white-gold watch combining engraved references to the film, a mechanism that plays its melody, and a triple-axis flying tourbillon. Its reference is OP110.30.AB.AB.A. Jacob & Co.’s Japan product page lists a suggested retail price of ¥112,640,000 including tax, but says the price may change and is not definitive.
A 50th-anniversary watch with a film-inspired mechanism
Jacob & Co. introduced this limited edition in the context of the film’s 50th anniversary. The brand says the launch event took place in Sicily in October 2022; the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry published an article about the watch on November 10, 2022. These sources establish a 2022 launch context, not a precise announcement date. Jacob & Co.’s retrospective and the Federation’s article document that context.
The Japan product page describes 13 scenes from the film engraved on the case and 13 quotations engraved on the music-box cylinder. A pusher at 10 o’clock activates the mechanism that plays the Godfather melody. The musical system is described as using two cylinders and two combs. Movement and displays
The hand-wound JCFM04 movement displays hours and minutes through a differential system and incorporates a triple-axis flying tourbillon. The manufacturer lists the tourbillon’s three axes as rotating in 24, 48, and 180 seconds, and gives a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and an approximately 50-hour power reserve.

In its official specification section, Jacob & Co. lists 658 components. The same product page’s narrative later gives a conflicting count of 654, so the component total is not consistent across the page.

Edition size and Japan-market price
Jacob & Co. limits the OP110.30.AB.AB.A to 50 pieces. The Japan product page lists ¥112,640,000 including tax as its suggested retail price. The brand expressly warns that the amount may change and is not definitive; it is a Japan-market list figure, not a guaranteed transaction price or an established current price in other markets. The page does not establish current inventory or retailer availability.

“Opera Godfather” also names a broader family of watches. Jacob & Co.’s separate Opera Godfather page covers a different rose-gold model with a different reference, edition size, and price. Those details should not be attributed to the white-gold 50th-anniversary reference OP110.30.AB.AB.A.

For background on how the anniversary project took shape, EuropeaStar attributes a statement to Jacob & Co. CEO Benjamin Arabov: “In June of 2021, we were on a call with Paramount Pictures, from whom we had acquired the rights to The Godfather movie, and we started discussing how to rise to the occasion of the movie’s 50th anniversary,” as quoted by EuropeaStar.
