Yes. You Are Ms. Servant is a found-family anime about Yuki, a former assassin learning ordinary life in the home of high-school student Hitoyoshi Yokoya. Its official synopsis describes it as “a story of a lonely maid finding a ‘family.’” Calling it the season’s found-family anime is a recommendation, not a verified ranking.
What is You Are Ms. Servant about?
Yuki arrives at Hitoyoshi’s home and asks him to hire her as a maid. She has a violent past and little experience with everyday life; Hitoyoshi, who lives alone, takes her in. As they share a home, Yuki begins to encounter emotions and relationships she was never taught to understand. Crunchyroll’s official synopsis sums up the premise as “a story of a lonely maid finding a ‘family.’”
Why it fits the found-family label
The story’s family grows through ordinary acts of inclusion rather than a formal definition of kinship. Hitoyoshi adopts a puppy left outside his home, and his younger sister Riko visits and gets along with Yuki. Yuki also tries school life, while Naka Hikage and Grace broaden the circle around the household. Apple TV’s episode descriptions trace these developments, including Grace’s return, which makes Yuki confront her past and her desire to protect Hitoyoshi.
The appeal is the contrast between Yuki’s history and the care she gradually learns to give and accept. The household has room for awkwardness, comedy, friction, and protection; the bonds expand beyond the initial maid-and-employer arrangement. That makes the series a reasonable pick for viewers who want domestic, character-led found family, with the protagonist’s past still shaping the group.
