So, we’ll see what happens. It feels like if the fans show up and there’s an appetite there, I mean, Kevin and I have always dreamt of writing Season 3. Does the comment mean Prodigy could continue in live action?
The quoted passage says the creators could imagine the show’s tone translating to live action someday. That is a hypothetical creative possibility, not evidence of a live-action project, an adaptation deal, or a planned change of format. The remarks do not confirm either an animated Season 3 or a live-action continuation.
How does the show’s platform history fit in?
A 2026 opinion essay by David Sean Rogers says Paramount canceled Star Trek: Prodigy and removed it from its service before Netflix became its downstream home. That account provides historical context for why the creators’ phrase is being read in relation to streaming platforms.
