In a January 2026 interview, Truth also said he had signed a new deal. That statement is his account of the agreement, not an independently verified contract record.
Did R-Truth return to WWE at Money in the Bank?
Yes. WWE’s official Money in the Bank 2025 results record his return during the tag-team match featuring Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso against John Cena and Logan Paul.
A masked person entered during the match and revealed himself as R-Truth. He attacked Cena with the WWE Championship; Rhodes then secured the win for his team. WWE also promoted Truth’s first remarks after the return on the following episode of Raw.
Why did people think R-Truth was gone?
TV Insider’s retrospective account says Truth posted on June 1, 2025, that he had been released, following his match with Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event. His departure was brief: he returned at Money in the Bank six days later.

What did R-Truth say about his WWE contract?
In that January 14, 2026 interview, Truth said: “I signed a four-year deal with a three-year option.” This is his description of the agreement; the interview is not the contract document. Wrestleview later repeated the information while citing the TV Insider interview, rather than providing an independent contract record.

What is R-Truth’s status now?
WWE’s R-Truth profile identifies him as a WWE Superstar and presents the character under that name, while describing a turn toward “the real Ron Killings” after his loss to Cena. That page reflects WWE’s public presentation; it is not a definitive filing about contract terms.
The available sources establish the 2025 return and Truth’s later account of a deal. They do not independently verify his precise contract standing or appearance schedule as of October 8, 2026. It would therefore be inaccurate to say that he is still gone, but these sources alone cannot confirm his current schedule or contract status in detail.
