2. Test a second device or browser
Try Hulu on a phone, computer browser, or another supported streaming device. 3. Test another website or streaming service
If websites and other streaming services also fail, troubleshoot the internet connection or home network first. StatusGator’s captured page displayed inconsistent report totals in different sections. Because the figures conflicted, they should not be presented as a definitive outage count. The reliable conclusion is narrower: Hulu was reported operational by the monitor, while some users were still reporting problems.
IsItDownRightNow was also checked as a secondary availability source, but its accessible page required JavaScript and did not expose a definitive current result in the research capture. Do not treat the absence of a displayed result as proof that Hulu is working or failing.
What should you try before calling it a Hulu outage?
Use the least disruptive tests first, and stop when the evidence identifies the failing part of your setup. Hulu’s official troubleshooting paths include connection improvement, power-cycling, browser-cache clearing, app-cache and data clearing, buffering help, and troubleshooting for specific errors such as P-EDU101 and BYA-403-011. Check your connection and try a wired test
Hulu says a high-speed internet connection is required for certain aspects of the service. Hulu’s subscriber agreement states: “You must have a high speed Internet connection in order to access and use certain aspects of the Services.” Hulu’s Live TV documentation similarly says that watching requires a subscription, a supported device, and a high-speed internet connection. Read the Hulu Subscriber Agreement and Hulu’s official Live TV product documentation for those requirements.
If Wi-Fi is suspect, temporarily test the affected device closer to the router or with an Ethernet cable for streaming. A direct wired test can help distinguish wireless instability from a Hulu problem, but an Ethernet cable cannot repair a Hulu-side outage and is not required for most viewers. A phone hotspot can provide another comparison, but mobile-data charges and plan or device restrictions may apply.

Check VPNs, proxies, and unusual network routes
Hulu’s Help Center includes troubleshooting paths for P-EDU101 and BYA-403-011, which are associated with anonymous-proxy-related access problems. Check whether a VPN, proxy, or unusual network route is affecting access when appropriate. Do not bypass legitimate workplace, school, parental-control, or security policies; ask the network administrator instead.
Why does Hulu work on one device but not another?
Hulu working on one device does not mean the two tests are equivalent. A phone using cellular data and a TV using home Wi-Fi are using different networks, and an app and browser can have different cached data, updates, compatibility requirements, and login states.
Hulu works on a phone but not on a TV
First check whether the television or streaming box is supported. Hulu login fails everywhere
