The change is an exception to the Season 35 schedule, which ABC lists for Tuesdays at 8/7c through November 24. ABC’s Fall 2026 schedule also identifies the regular Tuesday 8/7c slot.
Why was the episode moved?
November 3, 2026, is Election Day, so the schedule change avoids the show’s normal Tuesday broadcast that week. However, ABC’s schedule notice confirms the dates but does not give a reason for the move. It would be inaccurate to say the network has confirmed that election coverage prompted it.

ABC lists the episode as a live simulcast on ABC and Disney+. The network’s show page lists Season 35 episodes and Disney+ streaming access. ABC’s Fall 2026 schedule describes next-day streaming for original programming generally, but that is separate from the specific live simulcast information for this episode.
What else does ABC say about Season 35?
ABC’s Fall 2026 schedule announcement says Season 34 received half a billion votes from fans. That is ABC’s reported figure; the announcement does not provide independent validation. The same announcement describes the previous season as receiving the show’s first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Reality Competition Program in a decade.
