What happened to Art Garfunkel?
The Guardian reported that Garfunkel had hardly been singing until about a year before its September 2026 interview and had not toured since 2019. That is the article’s account of his recent career, not a medical assessment. The available evidence here does not establish a diagnosis or support a broader claim about his health.
For this question, dated reporting matters more than an old biography or discography: those can provide background, but cannot establish someone’s present status. The evidence above supports the answer as of October 8, 2026; it cannot guarantee his status at a later date.
