The account came from an unnamed source quoted by People and relayed by Elle, rather than from a public statement by Swift or Kelce.
Did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spend Thanksgiving together?
According to Elle’s December 2, 2024 report, which cited People, Swift and Kelce celebrated Thanksgiving together that year. The source described it as “the first Thanksgiving they celebrated together.” Because the source was unnamed, the account of the private gathering should be treated as reported, not as a detail confirmed directly by either of them.
Where was the reported 2024 gathering?
The report said Swift and her family hosted Kelce and his family in Nashville. It also said Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, and Jason’s family attended. Those location and guest details trace to the same unnamed source; the available reporting does not establish the dinner’s menu, setting, conversations, or travel arrangements.
Why 2023 was different
They did not spend Thanksgiving together in 2023. In a contemporaneous report dated November 23, CBS reported on Kelce’s remarks on the New Heights podcast: “I’ll be feasting on KFC because I won’t have anybody here.” Swift was in South America for her Eras Tour, according to that report.

Before Thanksgiving in 2024, Donna Kelce also told Today that Swift was unlikely to attend, saying, “I don’t think so,” and explaining, “She’s kind of busy right now. She still has her tour to do.” Glamour reported those comments on December 2. They were made before the later report of the Nashville gathering and do not establish that Swift was absent.
What happened the following day?
On Friday, November 29, 2024, Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs–Las Vegas Raiders game at Arrowhead Stadium with Donna Kelce, according to the Associated Press’s contemporaneous coverage. That public appearance followed the reported family gathering, but it does not independently verify the dinner or its details.
