You can keep licensed Free Fire tournament VODs playing as a YouTube live stream by sending them from an encoder that loops the files and can reconnect after a disconnect. First confirm you have permission for every part of the footage, then check your channel’s live-stream eligibility and test the full loop. Public access to a VOD is not rebroadcast permission, and a continuous replay may still create a separate monetization problem.
Get permission for the exact VOD before setting up a loop
Being able to watch or download a tournament VOD does not give you the right to broadcast it again. YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions make the provider responsible for having the rights needed to exploit the live content, including music rights.
Identify who controls each part of the recording: the tournament organizer, broadcast producer, caster or commentator, music, graphics, and any participant footage or overlays. Ask the relevant rightsholder for written permission that explicitly covers the uses you want. A permission to post a clip, for example, may not cover an uninterrupted 24/7 live rerun.
- Continuous YouTube livestreaming, rather than only an on-demand upload or short clip.
- The territory covered, such as India or worldwide, and the permission’s start and end dates.
- Whether the stream may be archived and monetized.
- Music, commentary, graphics, overlays, and other third-party material in the VOD.
- Whether the rightsholder will add your channel to its Content ID allowlist.
Garena’s India Terms of Service describe a limited personal-use license and say it does not authorize commercial use of the service or its elements. They do not establish a general right to rebroadcast a third party’s tournament VOD. Get event-specific permission from the organizer or other relevant rightsholder rather than assuming that access to the game or footage covers a public rerun.

Check that your channel can go live
YouTube Help lists these requirements for live streaming: a verified channel, no live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days, and an account holder aged 16 or older. Its guidance also lists limits of up to 10 active streams per channel and three per stream key. Check YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility page before launch because platform rules can change.

Set up the VOD rerun with an encoder
YouTube’s encoder workflow supplies a stream URL and a stream key. The encoder sends the video to YouTube; it is the encoder, not YouTube’s generic setup page, that must handle the VOD playlist loop and reconnect behavior. The exact controls vary by encoder, so confirm them in the documentation for the software you choose.
- Prepare the permitted files. Keep the playlist limited to recordings and embedded material covered by your permission. Check that each file plays from beginning to end, with the intended audio, before adding it to the loop.
- Open YouTube Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule an encoder stream. Find the stream URL and key for that stream.
- Connect the encoder. Enter YouTube’s stream URL and key in the encoder’s streaming destination settings. Treat the key like a password: do not show it in a recording or share it publicly, and reset it if it is exposed.
- Build and loop the playlist. Add only the approved VODs and enable the encoder’s repeat or playlist-loop option. Confirm whether it repeats one file or the full playlist, and whether it resumes at the beginning or the last position after a restart.
- Set output for the source and connection. Match the encoder’s output to a format your source files, computer, and internet connection can sustain. There is no single bitrate or resolution that fits every VOD and connection; use the encoder’s guidance for the selected output and verify the result in a test stream.
- Configure reconnect behavior. Enable the encoder’s retry or reconnect option if available. Find out whether it retries indefinitely, how long it waits between attempts, and whether a recovered connection resumes the playlist. Do not assume YouTube’s auto-start or auto-stop settings make the encoder loop or recover on its own.
- Start the stream and verify it in Live Control Room. Check that YouTube receives the encoder feed and that the stream’s picture and audio are correct before sharing it with viewers.
YouTube’s live-stream settings guidance describes the stream key and encoder settings, along with options such as DVR, auto-start, and auto-stop. These options do not establish that a particular encoder can run an unattended playlist indefinitely. Test the specific software, files, output settings, internet connection, and channel you intend to use.

Test privately and check for interruptions
Before announcing a public 24/7 rerun, run the complete VOD and playlist as a private or unlisted stream. Watch for picture or audio problems, encoder disconnects, and YouTube copyright notices. Test the reconnect path too: a successful start does not show whether the stream will recover after a real interruption.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party material. If it detects a match, it may replace the live picture, interrupt the stream, or terminate it. A license alone may not prevent that interruption; YouTube advises licensed creators to ask the rights owner to allowlist the channel. If you archive the stream, Content ID claims may also arrive after it ends. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

Know the difference between copyright permission and monetization
Permission to rebroadcast addresses rights; it does not automatically make a channel eligible for monetization. YouTube reviews reused content separately, and a channel that mainly repeats another creator’s footage with little original value may fail that review even when the creator has permission. Its channel monetization policies give “replays of a sports tournament where you explain the moves a competitor did to succeed” as an example that may be eligible. That example is not a guarantee for a particular channel.
If monetization matters, make meaningful original commentary, analysis, or educational framing part of the viewing experience throughout the channel, not just a short introduction before an otherwise unchanged loop. Consider whether your permission also allows monetization before enabling it.

Troubleshoot common rerun problems
- YouTube does not receive the encoder feed: Check that the stream URL and key belong to the intended stream, that the key was entered correctly, and that the encoder is running. Reset an exposed key before trying again.
- The VOD ends instead of repeating: Check the encoder’s repeat setting and whether it applies to the individual file or the whole playlist. Test the end of one file and transition to the next before going public.
- The stream stops after a network or encoder interruption: Check the encoder’s retry settings and test a deliberate disconnect. If it does not resume as expected, the setup is not ready for unattended use; YouTube’s generic stream settings do not supply a universal recovery mechanism.
- YouTube interrupts the picture or ends the stream: Check Live Control Room for copyright notices. Contact the rightsholder about the match and, if you have a license, ask whether it can allowlist your channel. Do not simply restart the same stream without resolving the rights issue.
- A claim appears after the stream ends: An archived live stream can receive a Content ID claim after completion. Review the claim and your permission; a clean test while live does not settle what may happen to the archive.
- The stream plays but has little original value: This is a monetization-policy concern distinct from a copyright match. Reassess whether the channel adds substantial commentary, analysis, or education rather than relying on permission alone.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for uploaded videos: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the video from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It can recover automatically if YouTube drops the stream. Use it only with VODs you are authorized to rebroadcast; a cloud service does not change copyright or monetization rules.
- Every slot streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot rather than quality-based tiers.
- The first day is free with no card, once per account.
- Monthly: $9.99 per month.
