Iain Armitage and Annie Potts reunited off screen on February 2, 2026, when Armitage shared smiling photos with his former Young Sheldon co-star. He called Potts family and wrote that she would always be his Meemaw—a nod to the characters they played, not an announcement of a new episode or on-screen reunion.
Why Iain Armitage and Annie Potts are connected
Armitage played young Sheldon Cooper in CBS’s Young Sheldon, while Potts played his grandmother, Connie “Meemaw” Tucker. Their screen relationship gave the reunion its family feel: Armitage’s post treated that connection as something that continued beyond the sitcom.

How fans responded
Parade reproduced affectionate comments from fans, including “This is so cute,” “This makes me so happy,” and “I’m happy you guys still connect in real life.” Another comment played on the show’s familiar bond between Sheldon and Meemaw: “Just Meemaw and her moonpie.” These are examples quoted in the report, not a measure of audience opinion overall.
