Hulu on Disney+ is not a new 2026 launch, and it does not mean the full Hulu service has moved into Disney+. Disney launched the U.S. integration on March 27, 2024: eligible subscribers can watch selected Hulu programming inside Disney+, while additional content and Hulu-specific features remain in the Hulu app. The refreshed Disney+ branding was part of that integration—not proof that Hulu had become a new app or disappeared.
What launched—and when?
Disney began testing Hulu content inside Disney+ for U.S. bundle subscribers in beta on December 6, 2023, then officially launched the experience on March 27, 2024. Disney’s beta announcement and launch announcement describe an integrated Disney+ destination for Hulu programming, not a new standalone service.

There are three related but distinct things: the Hulu content hub inside Disney+, the separate Hulu app and website, and Disney’s broader plan to unify parts of the two services. The first has been available in the United States since 2024. The second remains useful for additional Hulu content and functions. The third is a developing product plan, not evidence that every Hulu title and feature has already migrated.
What does the Disney+ logo change mean?
At the 2024 U.S. launch, Disney refreshed Disney+ branding with a refined logo, updated palette and new audio mnemonic. Disney said the design blended Hulu’s signature green with Disney+’s established blue. That was a Disney+ brand refresh associated with the integration; it does not establish that the Hulu app was renamed, shut down or replaced.

Disney also expanded Hulu branding in selected international Disney+ markets beginning October 8, 2025, positioning Hulu as its global general-entertainment brand in those markets. The branding and catalog differ by territory, so a U.S. Hulu hub should not be treated as a worldwide launch. Disney’s international branding announcement describes the change as part of a process toward a more unified experience.
Who can watch Hulu through Disney+ in the U.S.?
Disney’s current help information says access can be available to qualifying Hulu or Hulu Premium subscribers billed directly by Hulu, eligible Hulu + Live TV subscribers billed directly by Hulu, Disney+/Hulu bundle subscribers, and people with qualifying Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions connected through the same MyDisney login. Eligibility can depend on plan, billing relationship, account linking, device and location. Check Disney’s Hulu viewing instructions if access is missing.

How to find Hulu titles in Disney+
- Open the Disney+ app on a supported device or go to DisneyPlus.com.
- Sign in with the MyDisney email address associated with the eligible Hulu subscription.
- Start from the Disney+ home page or select the Hulu icon in the top navigation bar.
- Browse or play the Hulu titles available in Disney+. For programming not surfaced there, open Hulu separately.
If Hulu content does not appear, check that the Hulu subscription is active and paid, and that the Disney+ and Hulu accounts are associated with the correct login. Also check whether the title is available in Disney+ for your region, device and profile; the Hulu app or Hulu.com remains the route to additional applicable programming.
Does Disney+ include the entire Hulu catalog?
No. Disney describes the Disney+ selection as select Hulu content. Its bundle terms say additional content is available through the Hulu app, and that content, features and device compatibility vary by service. A Hulu subscription therefore does not guarantee that every Hulu title will appear in Disney+.

- On-demand titles: Some Hulu films and series are available in Disney+, but the selection is not the same as the full Hulu library.
- Hulu + Live TV: Do not assume the Disney+ hub replaces the live-TV service. Disney’s terms distinguish select Hulu on-demand access from the full live-TV experience.
- Add-ons and other features: Hulu-specific add-ons, live channels and some service functions may require Hulu. Licensing, location, profile settings and device support can also affect availability.
Disney’s bundle terms and limitations explain the distinction. If a title is missing from Disney+, search in Hulu before assuming it is unavailable under the subscription.
Does the Hulu app still work?
Yes. Disney’s help page, updated May 19, 2026, says Hulu subscribers can continue watching through the Hulu app or website, including programming not available in Disney+. Keeping Hulu installed is sensible if you use its full catalog, live-TV offering or Hulu-specific features.

Disney has described a deeper combined experience as a future development. In a March 2, 2026 presentation, CFO Hugh Johnston discussed bringing together watch histories and recommendation data and said the unified experience was expected toward year-end. Disney’s U.S. plan and price information and bundle page list current offerings. Compare the recurring price with the introductory rate, and choose an ESPN bundle only if its sports access is worth the additional cost to your household. Hulu + Live TV is a distinct product; check its billing and plan terms rather than assuming an ordinary Disney+/Hulu bundle includes it.
What the integration changes for viewers
The Disney+ hub is most useful for eligible subscribers who want selected Hulu programming alongside Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic content, or who prefer fewer app switches. It does not turn a bundle into one identical catalog with one set of features. For many subscribers the practical arrangement remains two apps: Disney+ for its combined home screen and Hulu for anything not offered there.
