Spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen and Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. Yuji Itadori is alive in the sequel’s far-future setting, and he has not aged normally. The story’s indicated explanation connects his unusual body and cursed-energy state to his having consumed the Death Paintings. That supports the idea that Yuji does not age like an ordinary person; it does not establish that he is impossible to kill.
How is Yuji still alive in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo?
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, created by Gege Akutami and Yuji Iwasaki, takes place 68 years after the Culling Game, in 2086, according to Shueisha’s official series page. In that future, Yuji appears alive and retains a youthful appearance.

Chapter-focused reporting describes Yuji as no longer aging. The explanation indicated by the story links that condition to his consumption of the Death Paintings and his unusual cursed-energy-saturated body. It is the best-supported reading of the clues, rather than a fully specified account of how his biology works.
Why hasn’t Yuji aged?
The explanation reaches back to the original manga. In chapter 220, Shoko Ieiri observes that Yuji’s body is saturated with cursed energy, according to ComicBook.com’s chapter-focused account. Reporting on the sequel’s finale connects that exceptional condition to Yuji having consumed the Death Paintings before the final fight with Sukuna.

Together, these details suggest that Yuji’s altered body and cursed energy keep ordinary aging from affecting him. The publisher’s series synopsis does not spell out a biological mechanism, so the connection should be treated as the manga’s indicated explanation, not as a precise rule or a direct statement from Akutami.
Is Yuji immortal?
“Doesn’t age” is not the same as “cannot die.” The available story reporting supports Yuji’s survival into the sequel and his lack of normal aging; it does not establish invulnerability. Calling him immortal without qualification goes further than the evidence.

What happened to Yuji after Sukuna?
The sequel places Yuji decades beyond the Culling Game, still present in the jujutsu world. A report on the finale describes him as having a next goal, but the evidence summarized here does not support a broader account of everything he did between the original story and Modulo. Shueisha’s official series listing includes three collected volumes. VIZ’s chapter archive lists 25 chapters, with chapter 25 dated March 8, 2026. Those official listings confirm the sequel’s publication details; they do not themselves provide a definitive explanation of Yuji’s condition.
