It took place on August 17, 2024, and was originally distributed in the U.S. through ESPN+ PPV, ESPN2/ESPN+, and UFC Fight Pass depending on the part of the card. To watch it now, check official replay listings rather than looking for a live broadcast or assuming a VPN will unlock a regional stream.
UFC 305 is not live now. The event took place at RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia, on August 17, 2024. In the United States, the original distribution was ESPN+ PPV for the main card, ESPN2 and ESPN+ for the prelims, and UFC Fight Pass for the early prelims. For a replay, check the official UFC 305 event page, UFC Fight Pass, and the ESPN platform connected to your account; availability may vary by country, subscription, and catalog status.
UFC 305 viewing details at a glance
| Event portion | Original U.S. service | Original U.S. start time |
|---|---|---|
| Early prelims | UFC Fight Pass | 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT |
| Prelims | ESPN2 and ESPN+ | 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT |
| Main card | ESPN+ PPV | 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT |
Those times and services describe the original U.S. broadcast on August 17, 2024—not a current live schedule. The main card was sold as a pay-per-view event through ESPN+ rather than being presented as automatically included with a standard ESPN+ subscription.
How to watch a UFC 305 replay
- Open the official UFC 305 event page and look for its replay or video option.
- Check UFC Fight Pass, which UFC positions as an on-demand combat-sports library and which carried the event’s U.S. early prelims.
- Check the ESPN platform associated with your account for a UFC 305 event or replay listing.
- Before paying, confirm that the listing contains the portion you want—early prelims, prelims, main card, or the complete event.
A replay may require a subscription, a separate event purchase, or may no longer be available in a particular territory. An ordinary ESPN+ subscription should not be assumed to include the historical UFC 305 PPV main card, and a UFC Fight Pass subscription should not be treated as an automatic substitute for that U.S. PPV.

Where UFC 305 was available by region
United States
The original U.S. arrangement was:
- Main card: ESPN+ PPV.
- Prelims: ESPN2 and ESPN+.
- Early prelims: UFC Fight Pass.
If you are searching for the event now, use the ESPN account and UFC Fight Pass account you already have, then verify whether UFC 305 remains in either service’s catalog. Current UFC rights and replay availability should not be inferred solely from the 2024 schedule.
Australia
For the 2024 event, UFC’s Australian guidance identified Main Event through Kayo Sports or Foxtel as the PPV route. A standard Kayo subscription did not automatically include the PPV; the event required a separate purchase.
That is historical information. UFC later announced Australian rights changes effective January 1, 2026: numbered-event main cards continued through Main Event on Foxtel and Kayo, while numbered-event prelims moved to Paramount+, with early prelims available on Paramount+ and UFC Fight Pass. Those later arrangements explain why a current UFC event guide may list different services from an old UFC 305 article; they do not turn UFC 305 into a current live event.
New Zealand
UFC’s contemporaneous UFC 305 announcement identified Sky Sport and UFC Fight Pass for New Zealand viewers. Because sports rights are territory-specific, New Zealand viewers should confirm the current replay listing and entitlement with the relevant local service rather than use the U.S. ESPN+ instructions by default.

Other countries
There was no single worldwide provider that applied to every viewer. Start with UFC’s current watch or event page, select your country, and use the licensed broadcaster listed there. If UFC 305 is not listed, check the local service’s archive directly; historical PPV catalogs can change without changing the original event record.
Can a VPN be used to watch UFC 305?
A VPN can change the apparent network location of a device, but it is not a guaranteed or officially authorized way to access UFC 305. Broadcasters use territory controls because sports rights are licensed by region, and their terms may restrict attempts to bypass those controls or misrepresent a viewer’s location.
The safer approach is:
- Identify your actual country and check UFC’s official viewing guidance.
- Use the local licensed broadcaster or PPV service.
- Confirm whether the replay is included, requires a separate purchase, or has left the catalog.
- Review the service’s terms before using a VPN, particularly if the VPN would make the service believe you are in another territory.
Do not buy a VPN solely on the assumption that it will unlock a particular UFC 305 stream. It may not work, the stream may still require a valid local subscription or PPV entitlement, and using it to evade geographic restrictions may violate the provider’s terms.

UFC 305 was headlined by a UFC middleweight title fight between champion Dricus Du Plessis and former champion Israel Adesanya. Du Plessis defeated Adesanya by rear-naked-choke submission at 3:38 of Round 4 and retained the middleweight championship.
The official UFC billing generally places Du Plessis first—“Du Plessis vs Adesanya”—although the commonly searched title is “Adesanya vs. Du Plessis.”

The event page shows no play button
The complete event may no longer be offered in your territory, or the page may be showing information rather than an active replay. Check UFC Fight Pass and the ESPN catalog separately, then confirm that you are signed in to the account that originally purchased or subscribed to the relevant service.
The replay asks me to pay again
UFC 305’s original U.S. main card was a PPV purchase. A general streaming subscription does not necessarily carry that purchase entitlement, particularly if you are using a different account, territory, or service tier. Review the event listing carefully before completing another purchase.

I can see prelims but not the main card
That can reflect the original rights split. In the U.S., UFC Fight Pass handled the early prelims, ESPN2 and ESPN+ carried the prelims, and ESPN+ PPV carried the main card. Access to one portion does not prove that the same account includes the others.
The service says the video is unavailable in my country
That is generally a territory-rights or catalog issue. Use the official broadcaster for your location, check the local UFC viewing page, and do not assume that changing your apparent location with a VPN will provide lawful or reliable access.
What to check before watching the replay
- Whether the listing is for the complete event or only a card segment.
- Whether a subscription is enough or a separate PPV purchase is required.
- Whether the account is registered in the country where you are watching.
- Whether UFC 305 is still in the provider’s on-demand catalog.
- Whether the result spoiler is hidden or visible in the page title, thumbnail, or description.
For most viewers, the practical answer is simple: treat UFC 305 as a replay search, not a live PPV purchase. Begin with the official UFC event page, then verify the relevant ESPN, UFC Fight Pass, or territory-specific broadcaster listing before paying.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. UFC 305 took place at RAC Arena in Perth on August 17, 2024. Viewers should look for an official replay rather than a live PPV listing.
Is UFC 305 live now?
The main card was ESPN+ PPV, the prelims were on ESPN2 and ESPN+, and the early prelims were on UFC Fight Pass.
Where was UFC 305 shown in the United States?
UFC Fight Pass is an official UFC on-demand destination and carried the U.S. early prelims, but availability of the complete historical event varies by territory, catalog status, and subscription. It should not be assumed to include the U.S. PPV main card automatically.
Can I watch the UFC 305 replay on UFC Fight Pass?
No. A VPN may change apparent network location, but it does not guarantee access and may conflict with a broadcaster’s terms or regional licensing restrictions. Use the licensed service for your actual location.
Did a VPN guarantee access to UFC 305?
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: UFC 305 took place on August 17, 2024. The original U.S. route was ESPN+ PPV for the main card, ESPN2/ESPN+ for the prelims, and UFC Fight Pass for the early prelims. Current replay access is territory- and catalog-dependent, so use the official local broadcaster rather than relying on a VPN to bypass regional restrictions.
