The 2025 Masters is no longer live. The tournament was played from Thursday, April 10, through Sunday, April 13, 2025. If you are looking for an archived 2025 viewing guide, the main no-cable options were free Masters Live coverage on CBSSports.com or the CBS Sports app, plus paid digital and connected-TV coverage through Paramount+, ESPN+, and selected Disney+ programming.
The exact services, feeds, rights, prices, and app support described below applied to the 2025 tournament. They should not be treated as a current guide to the 2026 Masters or any later event.

The best free way to watch the 2025 Masters online
For a viewer without cable, the clearest free option was Masters Live through CBSSports.com or the CBS Sports app. This was the most useful route for watching substantial digital coverage on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone.

Masters Live included dedicated feeds such as featured groups and selected holes. However, “free Masters coverage” did not mean that every television minute, every hole, or the complete CBS broadcast simulcast was necessarily available without authentication. The feed and device mattered.
How the 2025 schedule worked by day
All times below are Eastern Time. These are historical 2025 schedule details, included for archival reference.
Thursday, April 10: first round
Masters Live on CBSSports.com and in the CBS Sports app provided digital coverage, including featured groups and selected-hole feeds. The listed digital destinations included Amen Corner, Holes 15 and 16, and Holes 4, 5, and 6. Connected-device access was also listed through Paramount+.
ESPN’s linear first-round window ran from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Eastern. If you wanted to start watching earlier, the practical choice was Masters Live or one of the scheduled digital feeds rather than waiting for the ESPN television window.
Friday, April 11: second round
ESPN and ESPN Deportes carried a scheduled television window beginning at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. ESPN+ began digital coverage earlier and offered Masters feeds, including featured coverage and other online programming.

This distinction is important: ESPN+ was the early and digital route, while the ESPN television window was a later block. A subscription to one platform should not be assumed to include every feed on another platform.
Saturday, April 12: third round
CBS Sports listed Masters Live coverage from start to finish through its digital platforms, along with featured-group and featured-hole feeds. Paramount+ carried early weekend coverage from noon to 2:00 p.m. Eastern, followed by the CBS broadcast window from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern.
For a no-cable viewer who wanted to watch on a television, Saturday was one of the clearest use cases for Paramount+ for Masters coverage: the service covered the early streaming window and the relevant CBS simulcast path where the viewer’s access and device were eligible. That access was not automatically free.
Sunday, April 13: final round
Masters Live was available through CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app, with digital feeds and connected-device access listed through Paramount+. Paramount+ carried early coverage from noon to 2:00 p.m. Eastern, followed by CBS coverage from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern and a Paramount+ simulcast of the CBS window.
The simplest historical Sunday plan was:
- Use Masters Live for digital feeds on a computer or mobile device.
- Use Paramount+ for the early and simulcast windows where your access was eligible.
- Use the CBS over-the-air broadcast during the scheduled CBS window if you had a local CBS signal.
What “without cable” did—and did not—mean
Cutting the cable connection did not produce one universal Masters stream. The 2025 coverage was divided among free digital feeds, paid streaming services, authenticated simulcasts, and linear broadcast windows.

- Paramount+: a route for connected-device coverage, early weekend coverage, and the CBS simulcast where applicable. Login or subscription requirements applied to relevant access.
- ESPN+: the digital destination for early-round and featured coverage listed by ESPN.
- Disney+: a destination for selected programming such as the Par 3 Contest, not a promise of full-event access.
Neither a streaming subscription nor a streaming device by itself guaranteed every Masters feed. Rights and access were determined by the particular program, date, platform, location, plan, and device.
How to watch on a computer or phone
- For the free digital route, open CBSSports.com or the CBS Sports app.
- Look for the Masters Live section and select the available live feed, featured group, or featured-hole stream.
- For paid coverage, open the applicable Paramount+, ESPN+, or Disney+ app or website and sign in through an eligible account.
- Check the displayed schedule rather than assuming that the television broadcast and digital feed begin at the same time.
During the 2025 event, early digital coverage was especially important on Thursday and Friday, before the scheduled ESPN television windows. On Saturday and Sunday, the early Paramount+ windows preceded the CBS broadcast period.

How to watch the Masters on a TV without a cable box
You could use a smart-TV app, a compatible streaming player, or an HDMI connection from a computer. The hardware only displays a service that you can already access; it does not provide tournament rights or remove sign-in requirements.
Optional TV hardware: Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K
An Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is an optional streaming media player for displaying compatible apps on a television. It can be useful if you wanted to move supported CBS Sports, Paramount+, ESPN+, or other web-based coverage from a small screen to a TV.
A Fire TV Stick 4K does not include Masters rights or a Paramount+, ESPN+, Disney+, or other service subscription. It also does not guarantee that every 2025 Masters feed will be available on every Fire TV model. App compatibility, operating-system requirements, and supported services can change.

Basic TV setup checklist
- Connect the streaming player to an available HDMI port.
- Connect it to the internet and complete the device setup.
- Install the relevant app if it is supported on that device and in your region.
- Sign in to the required service account.
- Open the Masters feed only after confirming that your account has the required access.
If you were using a computer with an HDMI cable, the same rights rules applied: the cable could mirror an authorized stream, but it could not turn an unavailable or authenticated feed into a free one.

The official Masters Shop listed a 2025 Masters Annual and a 2025 Masters Journal. These are retrospective physical products for someone who wants a record of the tournament, not alternatives to a live stream or equipment for watching golf.
Before using this guide for a future Masters
Do not copy the 2025 platform list forward without checking it. Masters distribution can change from one year to the next, as can:
- broadcast and streaming rights;
- which service carries early, featured, or full-round coverage;
- subscription plans, prices, trials, and authentication rules;
- local CBS availability;
- app support on Fire TV, smart TVs, phones, and other devices; and
- which feeds are free through Masters Live.
For a current tournament, verify the official Masters, CBS Sports, ESPN, and service schedules before subscribing or buying hardware. The 2025 instructions above are archival and should not be silently presented as 2026 or later coverage.
