The 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade took place on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Its live U.S. broadcast began at 8:30 a.m. in every U.S. time zone and ran until approximately noon.
If you are looking for the parade now, there is an important limitation: Peacock’s official event page currently lists the 2025 stream as unavailable. The options below explain where it originally aired, how the live stream worked, and what to check if you are trying to find an authorized replay or highlights.
Where the 2025 parade aired
| Service | What it offered | Important detail |
|---|---|---|
| NBC | Live network television broadcast | Started at 8:30 a.m. in all U.S. time zones and ended around noon |
| Peacock | Live simulcast | The 2025 event was streamed live, but the official event page now says it is unavailable |
| Telemundo | Spanish-language simulcast | Availability depended on the viewer’s local station or provider |
| NBC encore | Repeat television broadcast | Scheduled for 2 p.m. ET/PT |
The most widely available route in 2025 was the NBC television broadcast. Viewers with an antenna could use their local NBC affiliate, while cable, satellite and live-TV streaming customers could watch through a participating local station.
How the Peacock stream worked
Contemporary 2025 viewing guides listed Peacock Premium as the plan used for the live parade stream. Because Peacock changes its plans, pricing and access rules, those details should not be treated as current subscription guidance.
#1 Best Overall
For the 2025 broadcast, the practical process was:
- Open the Peacock app or visit Peacock in a browser.
- Sign in to the account with the qualifying plan.
- Search for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade event page or open the live event listing.
- Start the stream at 8:30 a.m. in your local time zone.
Do not assume that the same event remains available after Thanksgiving. Peacock’s official page for the 2025 parade now reports “Currently Not Available on Peacock.” Availability for one-time specials is controlled by a rights window, so a Peacock subscription does not guarantee access to an old broadcast.
Could you watch through NBC’s website or app?
NBC’s website and NBCUniversal apps can provide a local NBC livestream, but access is not automatic. In most cases, you need a supported cable, satellite or digital-TV provider account linked to the NBC service.
The usual linking process is:
- Open the NBC website or app.
- Go to Settings, or select locked content and choose the option to link a TV provider.
- Select your provider from the list.
- Sign in with the provider username and password.
- Return to the live section and select the local NBC stream if it is offered in your market.
NBC determines access using your location and the agreements covering your local affiliate. A stream may be unavailable even when your provider carries NBC nationally. Common reasons include an unsupported market, a local-affiliate dispute, an unsupported provider, or a billing address that does not match the eligible service area.
A Peacock subscription also does not count as a TV-provider subscription for unlocking the NBC app. These are separate forms of access.

What time did the parade start?
The official 2025 NBC broadcast started at 8:30 a.m. local time across the United States. This was not a 9 a.m. nationwide start. The broadcast continued until approximately noon.
NBC also scheduled an encore at 2 p.m. Eastern and Pacific Time. The exact way an encore appeared in other time zones could depend on the local NBC schedule.
What to do if you are searching for the 2025 parade now
Because the live event has ended and Peacock currently marks its event page unavailable, use this order of checks:
- Check the official Peacock event page. This is the clearest place to see whether a rights window has reopened.
- Check NBC’s official schedule and video pages. NBC may publish clips or selected performances even when the full broadcast is no longer available.
- Check your local NBC affiliate. Local stations sometimes publish parade segments, interviews or short recaps separately from the national stream.
- Look for clearly licensed highlights. Avoid unofficial uploads that may disappear or provide misleading download links.
There is no reliable basis for promising a complete replay on Peacock. If a page claims that the 2025 parade is permanently available with any Peacock subscription, verify it against the current official event listing before subscribing.

Common mistakes to avoid
- Using the wrong start time: The 2025 broadcast began at 8:30 a.m. in every U.S. time zone, not 9 a.m. everywhere.
- Confusing Peacock with NBC app authentication: Peacock access does not unlock NBC’s provider-gated livestream.
- Assuming the old stream is still active: Peacock currently lists the 2025 parade as unavailable.
- Ignoring local-market restrictions: NBC streaming access depends on the viewer’s market and participating provider.
- Relying on old subscription articles: Peacock plan names and requirements can change, so contemporary 2025 instructions may not describe the current service.
