- Open YouTube and search for Friends Joey full episodes.
- Choose the verified official Friends channel, rather than a random account that has reuploaded the show.
- Open the channel’s Joey playlist or search within the channel for Joey and the Dad.
- Begin at Season 2, Episode 15 if you only want the eight episodes that were missing from the U.S. broadcast schedule.
- Watch Episodes 15 through 22 in order, ending with “Joey and the Wedding.”
If the playlist is difficult to locate, search each title together with Joey and check that the result is uploaded by the official Friends account. YouTube catalogs and regional rights can change, so an old embedded video, a fan playlist, or a search result titled “complete series” is not a guarantee that the upload is authorized or complete.
Why did NBC leave eight episodes unaired?
Joey premiered on NBC on September 9, 2004, with Matt LeBlanc returning as Joey Tribbiani from Friends. NBC renewed the spin-off for a second season, but its ratings declined after the network moved it to Tuesdays opposite American Idol.
NBC subsequently removed the series from its schedule and canceled it in May 2006. That decision left the final eight Season 2 episodes unaired on U.S. broadcast television. The series therefore has 46 completed episodes across two seasons, but only 38 were shown during its original U.S. television run. “Unaired” does not mean “never shown anywhere”
The most accurate description is previously unaired in the United States. Some of the episodes were broadcast in overseas markets. For example, “Joey and the Beard” has a May 23, 2006 Warner Channel airdate in an international listing. TheTVDB’s episode records illustrate why it would be inaccurate to say that these episodes were never broadcast anywhere in the world.
They were also not “lost” episodes in the usual sense. The eight programs had been produced; the problem was that NBC ended the U.S. run before broadcasting them. The official YouTube release finally made the complete series straightforward to access in one place.
Do not confuse these episodes with the unaired pilot
Joey also has an unaired pilot, but it is separate from the eight unaired Season 2 episodes. The alternate pilot reportedly cast Ashley Scott as Allison, a character who was later recast and renamed Alex, with Andrea Anders taking the regular-series role. The pilot is therefore not Season 2, Episodes 15–22 and should not be counted among the eight episodes released in the official run. TheTVDB’s official episode listing distinguishes the pilot from the regular episodes.
Are there other legal ways to watch Joey?
DVD
Physical media is a possible fallback, but it requires careful checking. The first season was released on DVD in the United States. Season 2 DVD editions were more limited, with releases in selected markets outside the U.S., and many are now out of print. Imported discs may be region-restricted, may use different packaging or episode numbering, and should not automatically be assumed to contain all 46 episodes.

A Japanese complete DVD box is documented as a Region 2 release with English and Japanese audio and subtitle information, but its listing describes 44 episodes rather than the 46-episode total used by current episode guides. It is therefore not a guaranteed substitute for the complete official YouTube run. See the documented Japanese DVD listing before treating any imported set as complete.
Be especially cautious with marketplace listings labeled “complete series.” Verify the distributor or publisher, region, episode count, audio and subtitle options, and whether the seller is offering an official release rather than an unofficial compilation. At present, the official YouTube release is the simpler option for viewers who want the entire series without importing physical media.
Subscription streaming
Streaming aggregators do not necessarily provide a complete picture of YouTube availability. For example, JustWatch’s U.S. Season 2 page has reported no tracked U.S. subscription-streaming option while showing availability in some other countries. That does not displace the official free YouTube release; it reflects the way services classify and track platform catalogs.

If you want the full spin-off rather than only the missing material, watch all 46 episodes in season and episode order on the official channel. This avoids the confusion caused by international DVD numbering, incomplete marketplace sets, and unofficial uploads.

Is the unaired Joey pilot one of the eight missing episodes?
