The complete 2024 season is available there, while U.K. viewers can use Sky Atlantic or NOW. Outside those markets, the series is distributed through different regional services, so there is no single subscription that works everywhere.[c001][c004][c006]
This guide is specifically about the 2024 television series starring Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch—not the 1973 film or Frederick Forsyth’s original novel. Availability can change by country and over time; verify the local catalog before subscribing.
Where to stream The Day of the Jackal
The Day of the Jackal is a 2024 espionage thriller series about an elite assassin, played by Eddie Redmayne, and the British intelligence officer, played by Lashana Lynch, who pursues him. In the current Peacock listing, the show is marked TV-MA and has one season of 10 episodes.[c001][c002]
Choose the row for your country below, then confirm that the listing is for the 2024 series before paying. Regional rights are separate, and a service named in an international distribution announcement may not carry the title permanently in every market.

| Country or region | Known streaming destination | What to check |

| United Kingdom | Sky Atlantic and watch it on NOW. | NOW says episodes can be watched online or in its app, with downloads available where supported by the service.[c004][c005] |
| Canada | Canadian availability checks have listed StackTV Amazon Channel and fuboTV. | The international distribution announcement also named Corus/Showcase. Check the current Canadian listing because these references do not guarantee permanent catalog availability.[c006][c007] |
| Australia | Binge was named as the Australian distributor. | Confirm that the series is currently included in the Binge catalog before subscribing.[c006] |
| Europe | SkyShowtime was named across Europe. | SkyShowtime availability can differ between European countries, so search the local version of the service.[c006] |
| Latin America | Disney+ was named for Latin America. | Check the Disney+ catalog for your specific country and the 2024 series entry.[c006] |

| India | JioCinema was named for India. | Check current local availability and any account or device requirements.[c006] |
| South Korea | Wavve was named for South Korea. | Search the Korean catalog rather than relying on a U.S. or U.K. result.[c006] |
| Japan | WOWOW was named for Japan. | Confirm the current schedule or on-demand listing with WOWOW.[c006] |
| Sub-Saharan Africa | Showmax and M-Net were named for the region. | Availability may vary by country and by service package.[c006] |
| United Arab Emirates and wider MENA | OSN was named for the United Arab Emirates and wider Middle East and North Africa region. | Check the OSN catalog for your country before purchasing a package.[c006] |
International availability note: The services in the table come from a combination of official distribution information and local availability checks. The international announcement reported sales to almost 200 territories, but a rights announcement is not a permanent promise that a title remains in a particular catalog.
How to watch it in the United States
Peacock is the main U.S. streaming destination. Peacock’s official title page identifies The Day of the Jackal as available now, and its official December 2024 announcement confirmed that the entire first season was streaming on the service.[c001][c003]
The first episode also received a special NBC broadcast. That broadcast should not be mistaken for a claim that NBC offers the complete season online: for all 10 episodes, Peacock is the relevant U.S. destination.[c003]
Can you buy the season instead?
If you do not want another streaming subscription, the U.S. availability listing checked on July 29, 2026 showed digital purchase options through Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home.[c002] Purchase availability, resolution, subtitles, device support, and pricing can change, so check the retailer’s listing before buying.

How to watch it in the United Kingdom
In the U.K., Sky’s official pages identify Sky Atlantic and NOW as destinations for the series.[c004] NOW supports online viewing through its website and app, and its title page says downloads are available for offline viewing where supported by the service.[c005]
Before subscribing, check whether you need a particular NOW membership or Sky package, whether all 10 episodes are currently available, and whether offline downloads are supported on your device. Package names and terms can change.
What “stream from anywhere” really means
There is no universal worldwide streaming subscription for this series. The rights were licensed territory by territory, which is why Peacock is the U.S. answer, Sky Atlantic and NOW are the U.K. answers, and services such as SkyShowtime, Disney+, Binge, JioCinema, Wavve, WOWOW, Showmax, and OSN appear in other markets.[c006]

Use this practical checklist:
- Identify the right production. Look for the 2024 series with Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch. The listing should identify a television series, not the 1973 movie.
- Search your country’s official catalog. Use the local version of the service or a current country-specific availability listing. Do not rely solely on an old launch announcement or a search result from another country.
- Confirm the season and episode count. The current U.S. references describe one season and 10 episodes. A partial listing or a trailer page is not the same as access to the complete season.[c001][c002]
- Check the practical details. Confirm the subscription tier, price, subtitle and audio options, supported devices, download rules, and whether the title is included or requires a separate purchase.
- Review the provider’s terms if you are traveling. A subscription purchased in one country may not provide the same catalog while you are elsewhere. Do not assume that a VPN guarantees access, overrides a provider’s terms, or creates a legal right to watch content licensed for another territory.
Avoid unofficial mirror sites and unauthorized “free streaming” pages. They are not legitimate alternatives, can disappear without warning, and may expose viewers to malicious advertising or unsafe downloads.
Make sure you have the 2024 series, not the movie or book
Three different versions share almost the same title
- The Day of the Jackal (2024 TV series): The 10-episode television thriller starring Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch. This is the version covered by the Peacock, Sky, and international streaming listings.[c001][c002]
- The Day of the Jackal (1973 film): A separate feature film starring Edward Fox. It has its own rental, purchase, and disc listings and should not be treated as the 2024 series.[c008]
- The Day of the Jackal (1971 novel): Frederick Forsyth’s source novel, on which the television series is based. It is a book, not another streaming season.[c009]
If a search result mentions Edward Fox, a feature-film runtime, or a DVD and Blu-ray, you have found the 1973 adaptation. If it mentions Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch, you are looking for the 2024 series.
Is The Day of the Jackal season 2 coming?
Yes. Peacock and Sky officially renewed the series for a second season on November 22, 2024.[c009] Peacock’s Fall 2026 schedule lists The Day of the Jackal season 2 among its returning scripted dramas, but the cited schedule does not provide a precise premiere date.[c010]

When will season 2 be released?
Season 2 has been renewed and appears on Peacock’s Fall 2026 returning-drama schedule, but the cited official schedule does not give an exact premiere date.
