For archived coverage, start with the official Milano Cortina video archive, NBC Olympics, and Peacock if the specific replay is still available. Replay rights and archive organization can change after an Olympics. Do not assume that every event streamed live during the Games remains available indefinitely; search for the specific sport, event, or athlete.

The best way to watch every event
For original U.S. live coverage, Peacock Premium was the simplest complete option. NBCUniversal said it carried every sport and competition session, all 116 medal events across 16 sports, medal ceremonies, the NBC presentation, full-event replays, highlights, and additional Olympic programming.

That made Peacock different from NBC’s broadcast schedule. NBC selected and packaged marquee events, ceremonies, highlights, and primetime programming. A viewer who wanted qualifying rounds, preliminary sessions, less prominent events, or competitions happening simultaneously needed Peacock rather than relying only on NBC.
NBC Olympics’ viewer FAQ listed the Olympic-period Peacock Premium price as $10.99 per month or $109.99 per year. Those were prices documented for the 2026 coverage period, not a guarantee of Peacock’s current price. Check the current Peacock plans page before subscribing.

Could you watch for free?
Some NBC programming was available without a streaming subscription if you could receive your local NBC station over the air with an antenna or through an existing television package. That did not mean every Olympic event was free.

- Antenna: Could provide the local NBC broadcast where the station was receivable.
- Cable or satellite: Could provide NBC, USA Network, and CNBC, depending on the package and local market.
- NBC websites and apps: App downloads and some clips were free, but full live-event access generally required authentication with a participating TV provider.
- Peacock: Complete Olympic access required the paid Premium tier during the 2026 coverage period.
Streaming through NBC’s apps and website
NBC’s authenticated digital access points included NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, the NBC app, and the NBC Sports app. Viewers with a participating cable, satellite, or live-TV provider could typically sign in with their provider credentials to access eligible live streams and replays.
The 2026 FAQ listed Peacock, NBC, and NBC Sports apps for mobile access and identified Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Firefox for computer streaming. App support, browser compatibility, and archive features can change, so current device support should be checked before relying on an older installation or smart-TV app.
How to find a specific sport, athlete, or event
- Open the official NBC Olympics schedule.
- Filter by sport, event, athlete, “Must See,” “Team USA,” “Top Stars,” or medal event where those options are available.
- Check whether the listing identifies Peacock, NBC, USA Network, or CNBC.
- For an archived event, search the same sport or athlete in Peacock, NBC Olympics, and the official Olympic video archive.
- Confirm the date and time zone before using any historical schedule. Olympic listings used U.S. viewing times even though the competitions took place in Italy.
The competition schedule and NBC’s primetime schedule were not interchangeable. A primetime program could show highlights or delayed coverage while another event was streaming live elsewhere.

The opening and closing ceremonies were available through NBC and Peacock, with authenticated digital access also offered through NBC’s platforms. Since both ceremonies have concluded, look for their replays or clips in the official Olympic archive, NBC Olympics, and Peacock. Availability may vary by title.
