The 49th ceremony took place on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. At the time, the official broadcast and streaming outlets were NBC, E!, and Peacock.
If you wanted to watch without a cable subscription, the clearest genuinely free option was an over-the-air antenna receiving your local NBC affiliate. That was a broadcast-TV solution—not online streaming—and reception depended on your address, local affiliate, antenna placement, and signal conditions. A full legal U.S. replay is not currently verified as available through a mainstream streaming service.

What happened to the 2024 broadcast?
The 2024 People’s Choice Awards were a past event, not an upcoming live program. The ceremony was broadcast on Sunday, February 18, 2024, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern / 5 p.m. Pacific.
The official outlets listed for the event were:
- NBC, through participating local NBC stations;
- E!; and
- Peacock, streaming at the scheduled broadcast time.
Those outlets described where the ceremony could be watched when it aired. They did not establish that Peacock offered the program free of charge, and they do not mean that a complete replay remains available today.

The genuinely free option: a local NBC broadcast with an antenna
For viewers in an area served by an NBC affiliate, an indoor HDTV antenna for local NBC reception was the most straightforward way to watch the NBC broadcast without cable, a live-TV subscription, or a Peacock plan.
An antenna receives local broadcast television over the air. It does not stream the ceremony over the internet, unlock Peacock, or provide the E! feed. You need a television with a built-in digital tuner, or a compatible external TV tuner, and your local NBC station must be receivable at your location.
How to check whether this route will work
- Look up the NBC affiliate serving your ZIP code using a reputable local-channel or broadcast-reception tool.
- Check whether your television has a coaxial antenna input and a digital tuner.
- Connect the antenna to the television’s antenna or “RF IN” port.
- Open the television’s channel settings and run an Auto Channel Scan, Auto Program, or similarly named scan.
- Place the antenna as high as practical, ideally near a window facing the broadcast towers, then scan again if NBC does not appear.
Reception can vary substantially between nearby homes. Walls, buildings, hills, distance from the transmitter, and antenna orientation all matter. A product advertised with a large range is not a guarantee that every NBC affiliate will be receivable.
When comparing an antenna, check whether the listing includes the required coaxial cable, whether it is appropriate for indoor use, and whether the seller offers a practical return policy. The antenna only makes the local over-the-air NBC signal available; it does not turn the 2024 ceremony into an online replay.

Peacock was an official streaming outlet for the 2024 ceremony. However, the available official announcement confirms that the event streamed on Peacock; it does not confirm that the broadcast was available without a paid plan or other qualifying access.
Rank #2
That distinction matters because “available on Peacock” and “free on Peacock” are not interchangeable. Do not rely on an old article promising a no-cost stream unless the current Peacock listing explicitly shows that the complete program can be played without a subscription or payment.
What about live-TV streaming services?
Contemporaneous coverage identified services including DIRECTV Stream, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, and Sling Blue as cable alternatives that could carry NBC and/or E!, depending on the service, market, and plan.
These are live-TV subscription services, not inherently free services. Their channel lineups, prices, trial policies, local-station coverage, and availability can change. A service that carries NBC in one ZIP code may not carry the local NBC affiliate in another.
For a future awards broadcast, verify all of the following directly with the provider before signing up:
- Whether the service carries your local NBC affiliate;
- Whether it carries E! if that network is part of the event’s distribution;
- The exact plan required;
- The current total price, including taxes or fees;
- Whether a free trial is actually offered to new customers; and
- The cancellation deadline and renewal terms.
Because the 2024 event has already ended, starting a new live-TV trial now would not provide a verified way to watch that ceremony in full.

Is a full replay available now?
A current U.S. availability check reports that People’s Choice Awards is not presently available to stream in the United States and that its previous NBC availability ended in September 2024. Based on that check, there is no verified free, full-episode replay on a mainstream U.S. streaming service at present.
Availability can change if the rights holder republishes the program, so the safest places to check are the official People’s Choice Awards pages, NBC, E!, and Peacock. Be cautious with search results advertising a “free full stream.” Unauthorized mirror sites, torrents, and unofficial streams can be illegal, unsafe, or designed to collect payment and personal information.
Where to watch legitimate highlights
NBC’s official People’s Choice Awards pages have published selected clips, including a 2024 first-look segment. NBC’s official YouTube channel has also published individual 2024 moments, such as Adam Sandler’s People’s Icon Award acceptance.
These are legitimate ways to watch selected speeches, appearances, and award moments. They should not be described as the complete ceremony unless NBC, Peacock, E!, or another rights holder separately verifies a full official upload.
Quick decision guide
| What you want | Best available route | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Watch the original NBC broadcast without a monthly fee | Indoor antenna receiving your local NBC affiliate | Not online; reception is location-dependent and does not include Peacock or E! |
| Watch the official online broadcast at the time it aired | Peacock | The available information confirms streaming, not free access |
| Use a cable alternative for a live event | A verified live-TV service such as Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, DIRECTV Stream, or Sling Blue | Paid plans, changing lineups, and local-affiliate restrictions apply |
| See selected 2024 moments now | Official NBC and People’s Choice Awards clips | Clips are not the complete ceremony |
| Watch the complete 2024 ceremony now | No verified mainstream U.S. full replay currently identified | Check official rights-holder listings for future changes |
What not to assume
- An antenna is not an online streaming service. It receives a local broadcast signal.
- Every antenna does not receive NBC. Local affiliate coverage and signal conditions determine whether it works.
- Peacock availability does not prove free access. The official announcement did not establish a no-cost stream.
- A clip is not a full replay. Official videos may cover only one speech, performance, or segment.
- An old free-trial article may be stale. Trial eligibility, pricing, and channel lineups change over time.
- Unofficial streams are not a safe substitute. Avoid unauthorized streams, mirror sites, torrents, and attempts to bypass regional or subscription restrictions.

Recommended Free Tools
Was the 2024 ceremony free on Peacock?
Peacock was an official streaming outlet, but the available official information does not establish that the ceremony was free without a plan.
Can I watch the full 2024 People’s Choice Awards on YouTube?
Official NBC videos include individual 2024 moments, such as Adam Sandler’s People’s Icon Award acceptance, but those clips should not be treated as the complete ceremony.
Are the 2024 People’s Choice Awards still streaming in the United States?
A current U.S. availability check reports that the program is not presently available to stream through the checked mainstream services. Rights-holder availability can change, so official NBC, E!, Peacock, and People’s Choice Awards listings are the best places to recheck.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: The 2024 People’s Choice Awards aired on February 18, 2024. The only clearly supported no-monthly-fee viewing method was an antenna receiving a local NBC affiliate. Peacock and live-TV services were official alternatives at the time, but they were not established as free options. Today, official NBC clips are available for selected moments, while a complete legal U.S. replay is not currently verified.
