Succession Season 4 is available on HBO Max in supported markets where the service has the rights—but HBO Max is not available everywhere, and its catalog changes by country. Check HBO Max’s current country availability before subscribing or traveling. HBO Max is the service’s current name on its official support pages; some viewers may still know it as Max.
Quick answer: In a country where HBO Max operates and carries Succession, sign in or subscribe, search for the series, then select Season 4. While traveling to another supported country, you can sign in, but you may see that country’s catalog rather than the one at home. If you are going somewhere HBO Max is unavailable, download episodes in the mobile app before departure; HBO Max says downloads can be played while traveling in unsupported countries.

How to watch Season 4 on HBO Max
- Check the official availability page for the country where you will watch.
- Open the official HBO Max website or install the HBO Max app on a supported device.
- Create an account or choose Sign In. If you already subscribe through an authorized provider, use the provider sign-in option if offered.
- Choose a plan available in your country and complete payment through HBO Max or an authorized billing partner. Plans, payment methods, and prices vary by market.
- Search for Succession, open the series page, select Season 4, and start an episode.
HBO Max supports phones, tablets, computers, TVs, streaming players, set-top boxes, and game consoles. Its device and account guidance has further details. Before choosing an annual plan, verify that the series and season appear in your country: availability of HBO Max does not automatically mean every title is licensed there.

What changes when you travel
HBO Max distinguishes between your home country and your physical location. When you travel to another country where HBO Max is available, you can stream, but the titles shown are based on your location. A show saved to My List or Continue Watching at home may not be available in the destination. Ratings can also differ because they are based on physical location. Check the playback screen for the audio and subtitle options available for that title in the destination.

For uninterrupted viewing, download the episodes you want before leaving. HBO Max says downloads can be played on a phone or tablet while traveling, including in a country where the service is unavailable.
Prepare downloads before a trip to an unsupported country
- Install or update the HBO Max app on your phone or tablet while at home.
- Check that your plan and the specific episodes support downloads. In the current U.S. plan information, downloads are included with Standard and Premium, but not Basic with Ads; plan rules may differ elsewhere.
- Download the episodes and wait for each download to finish.
- Stay signed in, then test playback with the device offline or in airplane mode before departure.
Downloads are a travel option, not a permanent archive. Their availability can depend on the plan, title, account state, and download expiration or rights changes. Avoid signing out or deleting the app if you need the downloads, and do not assume every device or title will support offline playback.

If HBO Max is unavailable where you live
Check for a licensed local streaming or pay-TV partner that carries Succession. Distribution differs by country. For example, in the United Kingdom, eligible Sky customers and NOW Entertainment & HBO Max customers receive HBO Max access; see Sky’s Season 4 page for that market-specific route. It does not establish that Sky or the same offer is available elsewhere.
Do not treat a VPN as an official way to unlock a different country’s catalog. HBO Max’s regional-error guidance recommends disabling VPNs, proxies, and anonymization services when they cause access problems. Access may be blocked or unreliable, and the applicable terms should be checked rather than assuming a workaround is permitted.
U.S. options: direct HBO Max or Hulu
In the United States, HBO Max is available directly. Hulu also lists Succession as having four seasons and 39 episodes and offers HBO Max as an add-on. Hulu with HBO Max is limited to the United States and certain U.S. territories, so it is not an international substitute. Depending on the billing arrangement, some HBO Max content may require the HBO Max app even when Hulu handles the subscription.

Troubleshooting access
- “This is Uncharted Territory” or another regional error: Turn off VPNs, proxies, or anonymization services; restart your modem/router and playback device; and check with your internet provider if your connection is being geolocated incorrectly. Contact HBO Max support if the problem continues.
- The series is missing from a list: Search the catalog for the destination country. A title saved at home may not be licensed where you are now.
- A download will not play: Confirm your plan supports downloads, the episode completed downloading, you are using the mobile app on a phone or tablet, and you are still signed in. Downloads may expire or be affected by a title’s rights.
- You pay through another company: Plan changes, billing, and cancellation may need to be handled by that provider rather than HBO Max.
