Max’s plans, sports packages, third-party distribution arrangements, and event availability can change. If you are looking for a replay now, check the current Max sports listings and the official College Football Playoff, Penn State, or SMU channels rather than assuming that the original live stream is still accessible. How to look for a replay today
- Check official playoff video pages first. Search the College Football Playoff’s official game page and video archive for highlights, condensed footage, or an authorized replay.
- Check Penn State and SMU’s official channels. Team sites and verified team social accounts may preserve highlights, press conferences, or recap footage even when a complete game replay is unavailable.
- Check Max separately. The original stream used Max with the B/R Sports Add-On, but current event availability must be confirmed inside the service. Do not assume that the 2024 broadcast is included in a present-day plan.
- Verify the date and matchup. Search specifically for “SMU at Penn State December 21 2024” or “Penn State 38 SMU 10” to avoid confusing this game with a later matchup, highlight package, or unrelated football stream.
What viewers needed at the time
- A television package carrying TNT, TBS, or truTV; or
- Max access with the B/R Sports Add-On, as specified for the original playoff stream; or
- A SiriusXM option for the original radio broadcast.
A television antenna, generic HDMI cable, or streaming stick was not specifically required by this event. Such equipment could help display a streaming service on a compatible television, but it did not provide access to the game by itself.
