How to Watch MotoGP Documentaries and Race Highlights Online (2026 Guide)

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

MotoGP VideoPass is MotoGP’s official online destination for documentaries, race highlights, full replays and archive video. You can watch through the MotoGP website, Android and iOS devices, and supported TV apps. Live and archived video require a registered account and a paid subscription.

Before paying, check the offer and catalog shown for your country. MotoGP says subscription term, price, included content and renewal conditions can vary by offer, and the library shown in one location may not be identical to another.

What you can watch through MotoGP VideoPass

MotoGP describes VideoPass as “the official destination for watching every moment of MotoGP™, Moto2™, Moto3™, and the Baggers World Cup – live and OnDemand.” Its service pages organize video into current-season coverage, an archive, documentaries and collections.

The current-season area includes full race replays, race highlights and press conferences. MotoGP’s archive page says content can be revisited back to 1992. Its Apps page currently advertises more than 45,000 videos from 1992 to the present, including full races, documentaries, exclusive highlights, interviews and technical features. That figure is MotoGP’s published library count, not an independent audit, and it does not guarantee that every title is available in every country.

A dedicated documentaries destination exists inside the service. You may need to log in before the collection and its individual titles are displayed, so the visible selection can depend on your account and location.

Current-season highlights

MotoGP’s official app description dated 23 February 2026 says the service provides highlights from every Grand Prix, alongside live or on-demand sessions and short-form vertical videos. Highlights are the quickest way to catch the decisive moments when you do not need a complete race replay.

Archive and documentary viewing

The archive is intended for older races and historical material, while documentaries and collections group longer-form storytelling separately from event replays. Use the archive when you know the season or event you want; use the documentary collection when you want rider, team, technical or behind-the-scenes programming.

Do you need VideoPass to watch MotoGP archives?

According to MotoGP’s Help Center, you must register an account and purchase a VideoPass subscription to access live and archive video. A free account alone does not unlock the complete live or on-demand library.

MotoGP does not publish one universal price or one set of terms for every viewer. The offer presented at checkout can differ in subscription length, included content, price and automatic-renewal conditions. Treat the local checkout page as the controlling description of what you are buying rather than relying on an old price quoted elsewhere.

What to verify before payment

  • The subscription period, such as a monthly, seasonal or annual term if offered in your location.
  • Whether the plan includes live sessions, current-season replays, highlights, documentaries and historical archive access.
  • The price in your billing currency and whether taxes are included.
  • Whether the subscription renews automatically, when renewal occurs and how cancellation works.
  • Any country or territory restrictions shown on the sign-up page.

How to start watching: step-by-step

  1. Open MotoGP’s VideoPass service. Use the official MotoGP website and select the VideoPass sign-up or subscription option.
  2. Create or sign in to your MotoGP account. Registration is required for live and archived video. Use an email address you can access because account and subscription messages may be sent there.
  3. Review the local offer. Read the displayed term, price, included content and renewal language. Do not assume that a plan described for another country is available to you.
  4. Complete payment and confirm activation. After checkout, return to the VideoPass area while signed in. If a program still shows a lock, refresh the page, sign out and back in, and confirm that you used the same account that made the purchase.
  5. Choose a viewing section. Open the current season for recent highlights and replays, Archive for historical races, or Documentaries and Collections for longer-form programs.
  6. Set spoiler protection before browsing. MotoGP says VideoPass content is presented in a spoiler-free way, including titles and preview images, and its mobile apps include a no-spoiler section. Use that area if you are catching up after an event.
  7. Start playback on a supported device. Select the video, choose the available feed or view, and use the player controls to jump through the program.

Where you can watch

MotoGP lists the website, Android and iOS phones and tablets, and TV applications for Apple TV, Android TV, Roku and Fire TV. The exact app experience can vary by platform, so install the current MotoGP application from your device’s official app store and sign in with the account holding VideoPass.

Device or route What MotoGP lists Practical notes
Computer web browser MotoGP website Useful for the full catalog, search and web-only playback controls.
Phone or tablet Android and iOS devices The official mobile apps include a no-spoiler area and short-form vertical videos.
Apple TV Supported TV app Install the current MotoGP app and sign in; availability can depend on the device and country.
Android TV Supported TV app Use the platform’s app store and verify that your model supports the current app.
Roku Supported TV app Availability is tied to the supported app and local store listing.
Fire TV Supported TV app A Fire TV device is optional; it is not required for website or mobile viewing.

MotoGP’s Help Center also mentions Chromecast, AirPlay and an HDMI cable as ways to display video from a compatible device. A smart television without one of MotoGP’s listed TV apps may not provide a satisfactory supported experience, so check compatibility before buying a streaming device or changing your television setup.

How to watch on a television

Using a native TV app

  1. Open the app store on your Apple TV, Android TV, Roku or Fire TV device.
  2. Search for the official MotoGP application and install the current version.
  3. Launch the app and sign in to the account with the active VideoPass subscription.
  4. Open the season, archive or documentary section and select a program.

Using a phone, tablet or computer

If your television does not have a supported app, start playback on a compatible phone, tablet or computer and use Chromecast, AirPlay or an HDMI connection where supported. The casting device and television normally need to be configured on the same local network, and an HDMI connection requires a compatible cable and port. These display methods do not remove the account or subscription requirement.

Why a generic smart-TV browser may disappoint

MotoGP specifically cautions that smart TVs without one of its listed TV apps are not supported and may not provide a satisfactory experience. A television browser can have problems with sign-in, playback controls, video quality or updates even when ordinary websites open correctly. A listed app or a supported casting method is the safer route.

Highlights, replays and documentaries: which should you choose?

If you want to… Open… Why
See the decisive action quickly Race highlights Shorter edits focus on major incidents and turning points from each Grand Prix.
Watch the event as it unfolded Full race replay You get the complete contest rather than an edited summary.
Catch up without spoilers No-spoiler area MotoGP says titles and preview images are presented without revealing results, and its mobile apps provide a dedicated no-spoiler section.
Explore older seasons Archive MotoGP says its archive reaches back to 1992.
Watch long-form storytelling Documentaries and Collections These sections group documentary and feature-style programming apart from individual event coverage.
Study technical or interview material Technical features and interviews These are included among the categories MotoGP lists in its published library description.

If you are avoiding results, do not browse a normal season page until you are ready: event names, ordering and thumbnails can reveal where a race sits in the calendar. Go directly to the no-spoiler area or search for a documentary collection instead.

Video features and their device limits

The VideoPass service page describes six different video feeds and supports multifeed and multiview features for following several sources at once. MotoGP says multifeed and multiview are unavailable in TV apps, so use the web experience when those controls matter to you.

Key moments can be tagged and revisited on the web and in TV apps. That makes it possible to mark an important section during playback and return to it later without scrubbing through the entire video again.

Feature availability can change as MotoGP updates its player and applications. If a control shown in a web tutorial is missing from your television app, first check whether the feature is limited to web playback rather than assuming that your subscription is defective.

Important limitations

No offline downloads

MotoGP’s Help Center says on-demand videos cannot be downloaded for offline viewing. You need an internet connection when you watch a documentary, highlight package or archive race. A paid subscription therefore does not function like a downloadable video library for flights, commutes or areas with unreliable connectivity.

English-only race commentary

MotoGP says live and archived race commentary is available in English only. The language of menus, subtitles or individual documentary elements may differ by program, but you should not assume that a second race-commentary track is available.

Catalog and rights can vary by country

No single country was specified for this guide, and MotoGP’s published information does not establish a country-by-country rights map, local catalog list or universal price. A title visible in one territory may not appear in another, and a local offer can have different renewal terms. Check the catalog while signed in, then review the checkout terms for your billing country before purchasing.

How to compare VideoPass with another legal viewing option

A local broadcaster or streaming bundle may carry some MotoGP coverage in your country, but the available sources do not identify a universal regional provider. Compare any option you can verify locally against VideoPass using the same questions rather than comparing brand names or headline prices.

Comparison question Why it matters
Does it show live sessions, full replays or highlights only? A highlights-only service cannot replace a complete race replay or archive subscription.
How far back does the library go? VideoPass states that its archive reaches back to 1992; another service may offer only the current season.
Are documentaries included? Some services focus on race broadcasts and may not carry MotoGP’s documentary collection.
Which devices are supported? Check specifically for your television platform, not merely a claim that the service works on “smart TVs.”
What are the term and renewal rules? A lower introductory price can have different billing or automatic-renewal conditions.
Can you watch without spoilers? MotoGP advertises spoiler-free browsing and a no-spoiler mobile section; another service may expose results in its menus.
Is offline viewing allowed? MotoGP says its on-demand videos cannot be downloaded, which matters if you regularly watch without a connection.

Troubleshooting common viewing problems

The video is locked after payment

  • Confirm that you are signed in with the account used at checkout.
  • Refresh the page or fully restart the mobile or TV app.
  • Sign out and back in to refresh the subscription status.
  • Check the subscription confirmation and the plan’s included content.
  • If the lock remains, contact MotoGP support with the account email and payment confirmation; do not create a second subscription before the first one is resolved.

The app is missing from your television

  • Check whether your television uses Apple TV, Android TV, Roku or Fire TV rather than a proprietary smart-TV system.
  • Search the device’s official app store for the current MotoGP app.
  • Verify that the device and your country are supported.
  • If no supported app exists, use the website on a computer or mobile device and connect through Chromecast, AirPlay or HDMI where compatible.

Playback works on a phone but not on the TV

  • Update the TV app and the device operating system.
  • Restart the device and your network equipment.
  • Try a native app instead of a generic television browser.
  • Test the same account in a web browser to determine whether the problem is device-specific.
  • Remember that multifeed and multiview are not available in TV apps, even when ordinary playback works.

You see spoilers while trying to catch up

  • Use the no-spoiler area in the official mobile app.
  • Avoid opening standard season and event pages until you are ready to see results.
  • Choose a documentary collection or a direct saved link rather than browsing thumbnails.

You expected another commentary language or offline playback

Those are service limitations rather than settings you can unlock: MotoGP says race commentary is English-only and on-demand videos cannot be downloaded for offline viewing.

Is MotoGP VideoPass the right choice?

VideoPass is the most complete route when you want MotoGP’s own combination of current-season highlights, full replays, documentaries, technical features and a long historical archive in one account. Its strongest advantages are the breadth of the catalog, official race access, spoiler-free browsing and support across web, mobile and selected TV platforms.

Choose a different verified local option if your priority is a lower-cost highlights package, a non-English commentary track, offline downloads or a television platform that MotoGP does not support. Make that decision only after checking the actual local offer, because rights and subscription terms are not universal.
