The Braves specifically state that YouTube TV does not carry BravesVision and that Braves.TV is the alternative for YouTube TV customers in the Braves market.

Local-market access is subject to the service’s territory rules and any applicable blackout or account requirements. Confirm your location and eligibility before game time rather than assuming that an otherwise valid MLB streaming subscription will show the game.

Where to watch outside the Braves and Mets markets

MLB.TV is the relevant league streaming package for viewers outside the applicable local television market. The MLB 2026 team-viewing guide lists MLB.TV for out-of-market access.

MLB.TV availability is determined by MLB’s location-based rules. A viewer who is physically inside the Braves’ or Mets’ applicable local market may face a blackout even when using MLB.TV. Check the service’s availability prompt with your viewing location before relying on it for this game.

Is there a national TV broadcast?

Do not assume that this game is on ESPN, FOX, FS1, TBS or MLB Network. The current official Braves schedule supports BravesVision as the local listing, but it does not establish a date-specific national outlet for August 12.

Broadcast assignments and start times can change. Recheck the Braves schedule and the relevant streaming service close to game time for the final listing.

Why some listings say “doubleheader”

The doubleheader connected to this Mets-Braves series was played earlier in the season. The Mets announced that the July 28, 2026, game was postponed because of forecast heavy rain. MLB then scheduled the makeup as a split doubleheader on Wednesday, July 29, at Citi Field, with games at 1:10 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. Eastern Time.

That July 29 doubleheader is separate from the August 12 matchup in Atlanta. The August 12 schedule currently contains one game at 7:15 p.m. EDT—not two games and not a makeup doubleheader.

What the game means for the playoff race

This is a meaningful National League postseason-race game, but it is not documented as a clinching, elimination or “win-and-you’re-in” game.

According to the Braves’ official standings page, last updated at 9:58 p.m. Eastern on August 11:

  • Atlanta was 72-48 and in first place in the NL East.
  • Philadelphia was second at 64-56, eight games behind Atlanta.
  • New York was 53-68, in fifth place.
  • The Mets were 19.5 games behind Atlanta in the division.
  • New York was also 11.5 games behind the National League Wild Card position shown in the standings table.

Those numbers make the stakes uneven. A Braves victory would improve the division leader’s record and further hurt New York’s already difficult Wild Card position. A Mets victory would halt Atlanta’s progress in the series and give New York one game of ground in the broader postseason race. But the standings do not support calling August 12 a mathematical must-win game or a playoff clincher.

Quick troubleshooting before first pitch

  1. Confirm your market. Local-market viewers should start with BravesVision or Braves.TV; out-of-market viewers should check MLB.TV.
  2. Check the listing on game day. The schedule currently says 7:15 p.m. EDT and BravesVision, but MLB assignments can change.
  3. Update the app or browser. Install pending updates, sign in before first pitch and verify that your subscription is active.
  4. Test the same device and network. If video buffers, restart the app, reboot the streaming device and check whether other streams work normally.
  5. Do not bypass blackout rules. If the service identifies your location as in-market, use the authorized local option rather than assuming MLB.TV will provide access.
