The Lakers–Timberwolves 2025 playoff series is over. Minnesota defeated Los Angeles 103–96 in Game 5 on April 30, 2025, winning the Western Conference first-round series 4–1. The five games aired across ABC, TNT and ESPN; Games 6 and 7 were never played.

Where each game aired
ABC: Games 1 and 4
Games 1 and 4 were broadcast nationally on ABC. In areas with a receivable local ABC affiliate, an over-the-air antenna could provide those games without a monthly streaming subscription. Availability depended on the viewer’s location, signal strength and antenna setup.
TNT: Games 2 and 5
Games 2 and 5 aired nationally on TNT. The Timberwolves’ official Game 5 viewing guide also listed truTV and Max for that game. Those options should be understood as Game 5-specific listings, not proof that one standalone service carried the entire series.
ESPN: Game 3
Game 3 aired on ESPN. Viewers generally needed ESPN through a participating cable, satellite or live-TV streaming provider, or applicable authenticated ESPN streaming access.

How to watch without cable
The most complete cable-free approach was a live-TV streaming package carrying ABC, ESPN and TNT in the viewer’s ZIP code. Contemporary 2025 viewing guides identified DIRECTV STREAM, Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, fuboTV and YouTube TV as possible options, but channel lineups and promotions change.

Regional sports networks can require a particular provider package, location authentication or availability at the viewer’s address. They were not replacements for every national network in the series.
What about NBA League Pass?
NBA League Pass was not the normal solution for U.S. viewers seeking these nationally televised playoff games. National broadcast restrictions commonly apply, so viewers should check the specific NBA League Pass terms and the official game page rather than assume that an archived or nationally televised game is available everywhere.
How to find a replay or highlights
For a completed game, start with its official NBA game page. The Game 5 page contains the final score, box score and available video links. Replay access can change over time, so no particular replay window should be assumed. NBA.com also provides official highlights and game information for completed contests.

For listeners rather than video viewers, the Lakers’ official series announcement listed 710 AM ESPNLA and KWKW 1330 AM for Spanish-language coverage. The Timberwolves’ Game 5 guide listed iHeartRadio, the Timberwolves app and KFAN 100.3. Radio availability and streaming rights may vary by location.

Could an antenna cover the whole series?
