DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD editions are also available in the U.S.

Where to watch Superman (2025)
| Option | Best for | What to know |

| Digital rental | Watching the film once without adding a subscription | U.S. listings identify Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home as rental outlets. Prices and rental terms vary. |
| Digital purchase | Keeping access to the movie through a digital retailer | Available through major digital storefronts, with the exact price, resolution, and included extras controlled by the retailer. |

Stream Superman on Max
Warner Bros. Discovery announced that Superman would stream exclusively on HBO Max beginning Friday, September 19, 2025. The film also received an HBO linear premiere on September 20, 2025. The service is now generally referred to as Max, whose help center describes access to selected Warner Bros. and DC movies.
To check whether it is available in your account, open Max and search for Superman (2025). You can also browse the Movies section or the DC brand area. Searching directly is the safest approach because streaming catalogs are not permanent, and titles can be added, removed, or restricted by territory.

Max’s U.S. plans include Basic with Ads, Standard, and Premium. The service lists features such as 1080p viewing on Standard and 4K Ultra HD on Premium where available, while the number of simultaneous streams depends on the plan. Do not assume that every plan, device, or version of the film includes 4K, a particular audio format, or identical playback features. Confirm the current plan details on Max before subscribing.
Rent or buy it digitally
If you only want to watch the movie once, a digital rental may be more economical than starting a monthly subscription. Current U.S. availability listings identify Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home as places to rent or purchase Superman (2025). The availability listing checked for this article on July 28, 2026 showed multiple transactional offers, but retailer prices can change without notice.
Amazon Video is a digital rental or purchase option; it should not automatically be treated as included with a Prime membership. Look for the specific Superman (2025) listing and check whether the offer says rent, buy, or included with a subscription before paying. You can also compare the digital options for Superman (2025) across the available storefronts.
Movies Anywhere lists the digital title from $7.99, but that displayed price is subject to change and retailer terms. A purchase may offer a better value than a rental for viewers who expect to rewatch the film, while a rental is usually the more direct choice for a one-time viewing. Compare the live price, rental period, video quality, subtitles, audio options, and included extras at checkout.

Buy the physical edition
U.S. listings include DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD versions of Superman (2025). Physical media makes sense if you want to own the film, give it as a gift, watch without relying on a streaming catalog, or access edition-specific bonus material. You can check the current Superman (2025) Blu-ray listing, but verify the edition, seller, region compatibility, and delivery details before ordering.
Movies Anywhere identifies bonus material associated with the digital release, including a director’s commentary, gag reel, deleted scenes, an ASL version, and several making-of featurettes. Extras can differ by format and retailer, so a listing mentioning bonus content is not necessarily evidence that every DVD, Blu-ray, 4K UHD disc, or digital purchase contains all of it.
How much does it cost?
There is no dependable single price to publish. Max subscription pricing and features can change, while digital rental and purchase prices vary by retailer, promotion, resolution, and account location. Physical-media prices also differ between DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD editions.
Use this simple comparison:
- Already have Max? Search the service first; streaming may be included in your existing plan.
- Want only this movie? Compare the current rental price with the cost of a Max subscription.
- Expect to rewatch it? Compare a digital purchase with a Blu-ray or 4K UHD edition.
- Care about extras or long-term access? Check the details of the physical or digital edition rather than choosing solely by headline price.
Does Max have it outside the United States?
The evidence for the options above is U.S.-specific. Warner Bros. Discovery described the September 19, 2025 event as a global streaming debut, but that announcement does not establish identical availability, pricing, language options, or release timing in every country.

International viewers should search the local Max service and local digital storefronts using the full title, Superman (2025). Availability can also differ between a service’s website, mobile app, smart-TV app, and regional storefront.
Identify the right Superman movie
James Gunn’s film is a 2025 feature directed by Gunn and led by:
- David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent
- Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane
- Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor
Movies Anywhere identifies it as a 2-hour-9-minute, PG-13 film released theatrically on July 11, 2025. When searching a retailer, include the year and check the cast and poster. This avoids accidentally renting an earlier Superman film or a television title with a similar name.
