IndiePix Unlimited is currently offered as an add-on inside Prime Video. To watch it on a television, open the Prime Video app on a compatible smart TV, Roku device, or Fire TV device, locate IndiePix Unlimited in the add-ons catalog, and subscribe or sign in when prompted. You do not need a separate IndiePix app when Prime Video is available on your equipment.
The route that works: IndiePix Unlimited through Prime Video
Amazon’s current Prime Video add-ons catalog lists IndiePix Unlimited. That makes Prime Video the established access route for television viewing. The service should be treated as a Prime Video add-on rather than as a universally available, standalone IndiePix application.
The exact screens can change with Prime Video, Roku, Fire TV and television software updates. Look for the IndiePix Unlimited add-on inside Prime Video, rather than relying on an old device guide or searching only for an IndiePix-branded app.
What you need before you start
- A television with the Prime Video app, or a Roku player/TV or Fire TV device that can run Prime Video.
- An Amazon account if Prime Video asks you to sign in or create one.
- An internet connection fast and stable enough for video streaming.
- A local Prime Video catalog in which IndiePix Unlimited is offered. Add-ons and prices can vary by country or territory.
A Fire TV Stick or Roku player is optional. Buy or use one only when the television does not already provide a compatible Prime Video app. The available sources do not establish current direct IndiePix app support for every smart-TV manufacturer or a model-by-model compatibility list.

Choose the right setup
| Equipment you have | Where to look | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| Smart TV with Prime Video | Prime Video app on the TV, then its add-ons catalog | Prime Video is the current listed route; direct IndiePix app support by TV brand is not confirmed. |
| Roku TV or Roku player | Prime Video app on Roku, then IndiePix Unlimited in add-ons | The 2016 IndiePix announcement named Roku for Amazon Channels, and Roku’s current support information lists Prime Video as a service. |
| Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick | Prime Video app on Fire TV, then IndiePix Unlimited in add-ons | The 2016 announcement named Fire TV and Fire TV sticks as Amazon Channels platforms; current access is still through Prime Video. |
| TV without a compatible Prime Video app | Use a supported external streaming player connected by HDMI | A Roku or Fire TV player can supply the app; it is not an IndiePix-specific requirement. |
Compare the three viewing routes
The choice is mainly about equipment you already own, not different IndiePix subscriptions. A compatible smart TV is the simplest option because no extra box or stick is needed. You open Prime Video on the television and manage the add-on there.
Roku is practical when you already use a Roku TV or player. Roku’s August 18, 2026 support listing includes Prime Video, and IndiePix’s December 14, 2016 launch announcement specifically named Roku as an Amazon Channels viewing platform. The current Roku software may use different icons or menu positions than older instructions.
Fire TV follows the same basic route. Open Prime Video on the Fire TV or Fire TV Stick, then find IndiePix Unlimited in the add-on catalog. The 2016 announcement named Amazon Fire TV devices and sticks, but it did not create a separate IndiePix installation process that replaces Prime Video.
If your television lacks Prime Video, an external Roku or Fire TV player is a way to add the app through an HDMI connection. It is optional hardware, not a special IndiePix receiver. If the television already runs a compatible Prime Video app, buying a stick solely for IndiePix is unnecessary.
How to watch on a smart TV
1. Confirm that Prime Video is available
Use the TV’s installed-app screen or app store to open Prime Video. If the app is absent and the television does not support it, connect a Roku or Fire TV player instead. Do not assume that an IndiePix app listed in an old third-party guide is still available for your model.
2. Sign in to Prime Video
Open Prime Video and sign in with the Amazon account you intend to use for the add-on. If the TV presents an activation or pairing screen, follow the on-screen instructions. The precise wording and sign-in method depend on the TV’s Prime Video version.
3. Open the add-ons area
Within Prime Video, use the service’s search or channel/add-on browsing controls to find IndiePix Unlimited. Select the IndiePix listing rather than a similarly named film or a result from another service.
4. Review the offer shown in your location
Read the price, billing frequency, trial language and terms displayed in your own Prime Video account. The current sources confirm the catalog listing but do not establish one universal price or trial for every country.

5. Subscribe or sign in when prompted
Complete the on-screen subscription flow if you are new to the add-on. If your account already has access, Prime Video should ask you to sign in or may identify the subscription automatically. Use the same Amazon account on the TV and on the device where the add-on was purchased.
6. Start a program
Return to the IndiePix Unlimited page in Prime Video and select a title. If the title page still shows a purchase or subscription prompt, verify that the TV is using the Amazon account that owns the add-on and that the offer is available in your region.
How to watch on Roku
1. Open Prime Video on the Roku device
From the Roku home screen, launch Prime Video. Roku’s current support material lists Prime Video among its streaming services. The channel name, icon placement and menu layout can change after Roku updates.
2. Sign in to the correct Amazon account
Use the account that should hold the IndiePix Unlimited add-on. If Prime Video displays an activation code or asks you to authorize the device, complete that process exactly as shown on the screen.

3. Find IndiePix Unlimited inside Prime Video
Use Prime Video’s search and add-on controls to locate IndiePix Unlimited. The historical IndiePix launch announcement specifically identified Roku as an Amazon Channels viewing platform, but that does not mean IndiePix is a separate Roku channel or that every Roku model has identical menus.
4. Confirm and play
Review the offer presented for your location, subscribe if necessary, then open an IndiePix title. If the title remains locked, check the Amazon account first; reinstalling unrelated Roku channels will not grant IndiePix access.
How to watch on Fire TV
1. Launch Prime Video
Open Prime Video on the Fire TV or Fire TV Stick. Amazon’s December 2016 launch announcement named Fire TV devices and sticks among the Amazon Channels platforms for IndiePix Unlimited.
2. Sign in
Make sure Prime Video is signed in to the Amazon account that should receive the add-on. Fire TV menus and labels vary by software version, so follow the current prompts rather than an older walkthrough.

3. Search Prime Video’s add-ons
Find IndiePix Unlimited in Prime Video’s add-on or channel catalog. Select the listing and inspect the local offer before accepting it.
4. Finish the subscription flow and play
Complete the subscription or sign-in request shown by Prime Video. Then open the IndiePix Unlimited page and choose a program. Current source material establishes the Prime Video route, but not a separate IndiePix-specific Fire TV installation procedure.
Managing the account, billing and offer
Use one Amazon account consistently. The account signed in to Prime Video on the television should be the account that enrolled in the IndiePix add-on. If a household has several Amazon accounts, a title can remain locked simply because the TV is using a different login.
Check the offer immediately before confirming enrollment. The Prime Video catalog listing observed in October 2026 confirms that IndiePix Unlimited is represented as an add-on, but it does not establish a single worldwide price, billing interval, trial, or eligibility rule. Your local account’s checkout screen controls those details.

Those figures describe the original launch offer only. They are useful historical context, not a promise of today’s price or a trial. Do not enter payment information based on an old article without checking the live Prime Video terms.
An older Amazon Associates Central listing mentions IndiePix Unlimited, but that listing does not verify current affiliate eligibility, commission, tracking links or promotional pricing. The appearance of a channel in Prime Video is not evidence that a partner offer is active.
IndiePix Unlimited is not The Roku Channel
The Roku Channel is a separate Roku service. Roku support instructions explaining how to add The Roku Channel to a Roku device, compatible Samsung TV or compatible Amazon Fire TV device do not show that IndiePix Unlimited is included inside The Roku Channel.
For IndiePix Unlimited, stay in the Prime Video app and use its add-on catalog. Installing The Roku Channel may be useful for that service’s own content, but it is not a substitute for locating the IndiePix add-on through Prime Video.

Why Roku and Fire TV are mentioned in older instructions
The original launch announcement said IndiePix Unlimited would be available through Amazon Channels on PlayStation and Roku, in the Amazon Video app, on Amazon Fire TV devices, sticks and tablets, and through Amazon.com/channels. That announcement explains the historical platform references still found in many guides.
It does not guarantee that every device model, app version or country has the same catalog today. Current Roku support confirms Prime Video remains a Roku service, and the current Prime Video catalog listing confirms that IndiePix Unlimited is presently represented as an add-on. Together, those facts support the Prime Video workflow without proving universal direct-app compatibility.
“Since 2004, it’s been our mission to introduce cineastes to compelling independent cinema,” said Barnet Liberman, CEO of IndiePix Films, in the 2016 launch announcement.
Troubleshooting when IndiePix does not appear
The IndiePix listing is missing from Prime Video
- Check that you are signed in to the intended Amazon account.
- Confirm the television or streaming player has an internet connection and the latest available Prime Video app update.
- Search for the full name “IndiePix Unlimited” and inspect the add-ons or channels area, not only the general movie results.
- Check the catalog in your current country. A listing visible in another region may not be offered on your account.
- Close and reopen Prime Video, then search again. If the listing remains absent, the add-on may not currently be offered to that account or location.
The listing appears, but subscription is unavailable
Read the offer details shown in Prime Video. A local catalog can show a service while limiting enrollment, changing the price or omitting a trial. Do not rely on the 2016 $5.99 figure or seven-day trial as a current entitlement.
You subscribed but titles are locked
- Verify that Prime Video is using the same Amazon account used for the subscription.
- Return to the IndiePix Unlimited add-on page and open a title from there.
- Sign out and back in if the account change was made recently.
- Restart the Roku, Fire TV or television app if the subscription is recognized on another device but not on the TV.
Prime Video is not available on the television
Use a compatible Roku or Fire TV player connected to the TV. The external player supplies Prime Video; it does not require a separate IndiePix app. If you already own one of these devices, no additional IndiePix-specific hardware is established as necessary.
You installed The Roku Channel by mistake
Open Prime Video instead. The Roku Channel and IndiePix Unlimited are separate services, and Roku’s installation instructions for The Roku Channel do not place IndiePix inside it.
Playback is unstable
- Check whether other Prime Video programs play normally on the same device.
- Restart the app and the streaming device, then test the connection again.
- If only IndiePix titles fail while other Prime Video content works, confirm account access and regional availability before changing hardware.
What the current listings establish
Amazon’s Prime Video add-ons page observed in October 2026 includes IndiePix Unlimited. JustWatch’s United States provider listing and 2026 additions page also continued to track the IndiePix Amazon Channel. These listings support the existence of the Prime Video route, but they do not guarantee that every film remains available or that the same catalog appears outside the United States.
A third-party device guide lists IndiePix instructions for numerous platforms, including Roku and Fire TV, but it is more than a year old and is not an official, current compatibility authority. Use the live Prime Video app on your own device as the final check.

Quick setup checklist
- Connect the smart TV, Roku or Fire TV device to the internet.
- Open Prime Video.
- Sign in to the Amazon account that should own the add-on.
- Search Prime Video’s add-ons for IndiePix Unlimited.
- Review the price, billing and trial terms shown for your location.
- Subscribe or sign in as prompted.
- Open an IndiePix title from the add-on page and play it.
If Prime Video is unavailable on the TV, connect a Roku or Fire TV player and follow the same seven-step process there. The device changes; the IndiePix access route does not.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a separate IndiePix Unlimited app for smart TVs?
The established current route is the IndiePix Unlimited add-on inside Prime Video. Direct, brand-by-brand availability of a standalone IndiePix app is not confirmed, so search Prime Video first.
Can I watch IndiePix Unlimited on Roku?
Yes, when Prime Video is available on the Roku device and the IndiePix add-on appears in your local catalog. Open Prime Video on Roku, sign in to the correct Amazon account, and find IndiePix Unlimited in the add-ons area.
Can I watch IndiePix Unlimited on Fire TV Stick?
Yes, through Prime Video. Launch Prime Video on the Fire TV Stick, use the Amazon account that should hold the subscription, and select IndiePix Unlimited from the add-on catalog.
Is IndiePix Unlimited part of The Roku Channel?
No. The Roku Channel and IndiePix Unlimited are separate services. Roku’s instructions for installing The Roku Channel do not provide IndiePix access; use the Prime Video app instead.
Do I need a Roku or Fire TV device if my smart TV has Prime Video?
No. A compatible Prime Video app on the television is sufficient. Roku or Fire TV is an optional external player for a TV that lacks a compatible Prime Video app.
How much does IndiePix Unlimited cost now?
Check the price shown in your own Prime Video account. The December 14, 2016 launch announcement reported $5.99 monthly and a seven-day trial, but those historical terms are not verified current prices.
Why can a friend see IndiePix Unlimited but I cannot?
Prime Video add-ons can depend on account and region. Confirm your Amazon login, search the full add-on name, reopen Prime Video, and check the catalog available in your current country.
What should I do if I subscribed but a movie is still locked?
Verify that the TV uses the Amazon account that enrolled in the add-on, return to the IndiePix Unlimited page in Prime Video, sign out and back in if needed, and restart the app or streaming device.
The Bottom Line
Use Prime Video as the access point: open it on your smart TV, Roku, or Fire TV, find IndiePix Unlimited in add-ons, and verify the local offer before subscribing. Roku and Fire TV are optional ways to supply Prime Video, and The Roku Channel is not a substitute. Current price, trial and regional eligibility must be checked in your own account.
