The answer depends on your country. In territories where F1 TV Pro is sold, subscribe to the Pro tier and watch through the F1 TV website or app. In the United States for the 2026 season, Apple TV is Formula 1’s official live-F1 distribution route, with F1 TV Premium included for Apple TV subscribers under the current arrangement.

How you watch F1 with F1 TV Pro depends on where you live. Outside the United States—and in other territories where the plan is sold—you can subscribe to F1 TV Pro, sign in through the F1 TV website or app, and watch live Formula 1 sessions with onboard cameras, team radio, live timing, replays, and selected support-series coverage. In the United States for the 2026 season, Apple TV is Formula 1’s official U.S. home, and F1 TV Premium is included with an Apple TV subscription under the current arrangement.

Before paying, check Formula 1’s current location-availability tool and checkout page. F1 TV plans, prices, features, supported devices, and rights vary by country and can change.

Quick answer: which F1 TV route applies to you?

Viewer Best current route What to know
Outside the U.S., in a territory where F1 TV Pro is offered Subscribe to F1 TV Pro Use the F1 TV website or app to watch live sessions and the plan’s additional viewing features.

In a territory where only F1 TV Access is sold Use F1 TV Access for its available features Access is not the same as Pro: live F1 video, onboard cameras, and live team radio may not be included.

What F1 TV Pro includes

Where Formula 1 sells F1 TV Pro, it is the enhanced live-viewing tier rather than simply a library of race replays. Depending on the territory and current plan terms, Pro provides:

  • Live team radio.
  • Live timing and detailed session data.
  • Full-session replays and highlights.
  • F1-produced shows, documentaries, analysis, and archive programming.
  • Live coverage of selected support series, including Formula 2, Formula 3, F1 Academy, and Porsche Supercup where the relevant plan and territorial rights allow it.

The practical distinction is important: live timing is available across F1 TV Access, Pro, and Premium, but the more valuable live-video features—particularly live sessions, onboard views, and team radio—are associated with Pro or Premium. Replay availability can also differ under the applicable coverage plan.

How to watch F1 TV Pro on a computer

  1. Check that F1 TV Pro is available in your country.
  2. Subscribe through the official F1 TV service using the account and country information requested at checkout.
  3. On a desktop or laptop, open the F1 TV website in a supported, up-to-date browser.
  4. Sign in before a session begins and select the live event from the F1 TV schedule or home screen.
  5. Choose the main broadcast, an onboard camera, live timing, or another available viewing feed.

Your computer, browser, operating system, internet service, and connection are your responsibility. Video quality may change with the device, location, available bandwidth, and connection speed. For a major race, sign in and test playback during a practice session or before the formation lap rather than troubleshooting for the first time at lights-out.

How to watch on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device

Formula 1 lists iOS and Android as supported mobile platforms for F1 TV. Install the current F1 TV app from the appropriate app store, sign in with the account used for the subscription, and open the live session or replay you want to watch.

A phone or tablet works well as a travel screen, timing display, or second screen for an onboard camera. However, do not assume that every feature is identical across web, mobile, television, and connected-device apps. Plan availability and device-specific functionality can affect live feeds, multiview, UHD, and other Premium features.

How to watch F1 TV on a television

You have several possible television setups:

  • A compatible smart-TV app.
  • An Apple TV device or Apple TV environment.
  • A Google TV device.
  • An Amazon Fire TV device.
  • A Roku device.
  • Chromecast or another supported casting setup.

Formula 1’s current product information lists these platforms across its F1 TV viewing options, but the exact app and feature set can vary by model, operating system, territory, and subscription tier. Check the current supported-device list before buying new hardware.

Using an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K

If your television does not have a suitable native app, or you prefer a dedicated streaming interface, an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is a practical way to use the Fire TV environment on a compatible television. Amazon documents the Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Stick 4K Max product families, and Formula 1 lists Amazon Fire TV among supported viewing platforms.

  1. Plug the Fire TV Stick into an available HDMI port on the television.
  2. Connect its power cable as directed and switch the television to that HDMI input.
  3. Complete the Fire TV setup, including internet access and the Amazon account requirements shown on screen.
  4. Open the app store on Fire TV and search for the official F1 TV app.
  5. Install the app, launch it, and sign in to the F1 TV account that holds the eligible subscription.
  6. Open a live session or replay and confirm playback before race day.

The streaming stick is only playback hardware. It does not include an F1 TV subscription, provide U.S. Formula 1 rights, or guarantee UHD playback. Those depend on your territory, subscription, device, and the current service terms. Your television also needs a free HDMI input and a reliable internet connection.

The U.S. setup for the 2026 season

For viewers in the United States, do not assume that the ordinary F1 TV checkout will offer F1 TV Pro as a standalone purchase. Formula 1 identifies Apple TV as the new official U.S. home of Formula 1 for 2026 and says that F1 TV Premium is included at no additional cost for Apple TV subscribers under the current arrangement.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The current U.S. setup is therefore:

  1. Subscribe to Apple TV if you want the 2026 U.S. live-F1 distribution route.
  2. Open Apple TV on a supported television, phone, tablet, or web environment.
  3. Use the F1 TV Premium access provided through the eligible Apple TV account where it is offered.
  4. Check the device and service requirements for features such as UHD or multiview. Formula 1 notes that functionality can differ by device and service tier.

Because distribution agreements and entitlements are subject to change, verify the offer shown at the time you subscribe. The availability of a specific F1 TV feature through an Apple TV account is not necessarily identical on every device.

F1 TV Pro, F1 TV Access, and F1 TV Premium

Feature Access Pro Premium
Live timing Available Available Available
Live F1 video sessions Not generally the defining Access feature; verify the local plan Available where Pro is sold Available where Premium is offered

Live team radio Typically not included Included where supported Included where supported
Replays and highlights Availability varies Available, subject to territorial rights and plan terms Available, subject to territorial rights and plan terms
UHD or multiview Not assumed Not assumed Device- and entitlement-dependent

These labels are not globally interchangeable. Formula 1 can offer different plans and features in different countries, so use the plan description displayed for your account’s territory rather than relying only on the name.

Territories, travel, and VPN restrictions

F1 TV is a rights-controlled service, not a globally identical catalog. Formula 1 verifies the country of purchase as the subscriber’s habitual home territory, and content and features can differ by territory. When you travel, the country in which you are physically watching may impose additional rights restrictions.

Check the official F1 TV location-availability information before subscribing if you are:

  • Traveling during the season.
  • Living temporarily in another country.
  • Recently relocated.
  • Comparing plans from different territories.
  • Unable to see the plan or event you expected at checkout.

Do not rely on a VPN or another tool to bypass these restrictions. The F1 TV U.S. subscription terms prohibit technologies intended to mask or disguise your access location. A VPN can also create account, playback, or rights-compliance problems.

Subscription renewal and cancellation

Formula 1’s subscription terms state that annual plans normally renew on the anniversary of purchase, while monthly plans renew each month unless canceled. Record the renewal date when you subscribe.

If you purchased through Apple, Google, or another third-party platform, cancellation generally must be completed through that platform’s subscription-management page rather than only inside the F1 TV website. Check the receipt to identify who bills you:

Race-day troubleshooting checklist

If F1 TV will not play, work through these checks in order:

  1. Confirm the territory and plan. Make sure the event and feature are available in the country where you are watching and that your account has Pro, Premium, or another eligible tier.
  2. Check the account. Sign out and back in if the app is showing an unrecognized subscription or asking you to subscribe again.
  3. Update the app and operating system. Install available updates on the television, streaming stick, phone, tablet, or computer.
  4. Check the connection. Test another streaming app, restart the router if necessary, and move a wireless streaming device closer to the access point if the signal is weak.
  5. Check the television setup. Confirm the TV is on the correct HDMI input and that the streaming device has power.
  6. Check casting. If you are casting from a phone or tablet, put both devices on the same network and confirm that the receiving device supports the casting method.
  7. Check feature requirements. Missing UHD, multiview, an onboard feed, or another option may reflect the plan or a device-specific limitation rather than a fault.
  8. Test before the session. Sign in and play a short video before the race begins. This is practical preparation, not a guarantee that service will never be interrupted.

What to check before publishing or subscribing

Prices and product availability change quickly. The U.S. F1 TV page displayed Access at $29.99 per year and $3.49 per month when the research for this guide was conducted, but those figures do not establish the current price or prove that Pro is available as a standalone U.S. plan. Check the live checkout immediately before subscribing.

Also recheck:

  • The F1 TV location-availability tool for your country.
  • The exact plan name and included features.
  • The current U.S. Apple TV entitlement.
  • The supported-device list and app availability.
  • The current Fire TV hardware listing if buying a streaming device.
  • Renewal terms and the platform responsible for billing.

Bottom line

F1 TV Pro is the right way to watch live Formula 1 with onboard cameras, team radio, live timing, replays, and additional coverage when it is sold in your territory. For U.S. viewers in 2026, start with Apple TV rather than assuming that F1 TV Pro remains a standard standalone purchase. Whichever route applies, confirm the current territory, plan, device, and billing details before paying.
