UNTOLD is an anthology: most entries are standalone documentary films, while some are limited series. There is no required viewing order, so the fastest way to find your next film is to browse by subject—football, basketball, soccer, investigations, or combat sports—rather than by volume number.
The catalog changes by territory and over time. Netflix’s United States documentary catalog and Netflix search are useful starting points, but a film listed in the U.S. may be unavailable in your country or account. The guide below maps the currently announced titles, explains the confirmed episode counts, and gives a practical route to related stories.
Where to watch the UNTOLD documentaries
Netflix is the primary viewing service for the UNTOLD catalog. On a browser, smart-TV app, game console, phone or tablet:
- Open Netflix and select the profile you want to use.
- Choose Search and enter the title exactly, including the word Untold and the subtitle. For example, search Untold: Malice at the Palace rather than only searching for Palace.
- Open the result whose title and artwork match the documentary you want.
- Check whether the page shows a Play button for a film or an episode list for a series.
- If no result appears, search a shorter distinctive phrase, then check your country’s Netflix catalog and profile maturity settings.
Netflix’s U.S. documentary catalog is a useful reference for the franchise, but it is not a guarantee of access elsewhere. Licensing, release timing, language options and account settings can change. The title page that appears in your own Netflix account is the most reliable answer to whether you can watch it now.

How the UNTOLD franchise is organized
UNTOLD combines self-contained sports documentaries with limited series. Each story has its own subjects, interviews and timeline; watching an earlier entry is not required to understand a later one. Volume labels describe a release batch, not chapters in one continuous narrative.
That anthology structure makes subject-based browsing more useful than trying to start at Volume 1 and proceed mechanically. Netflix may display other entries differently as its interface changes. If a title page shows several selectable episodes, treat it as a series; if it offers one continuous Play option, treat it as a film.

If you start with soccer
Choose the three UNTOLD UK entries as a compact soccer path: Untold UK: Jamie Vardy, Untold UK: Liverpool’s Miracle of Istanbul and Untold UK: Vinnie Jones. They cover different people and moments in British football, so you can watch them in any order. Their “UK” label identifies the regional strand; it does not create a continuing plot that must be followed episode by episode.

How the release volumes fit together

Volume 3
Netflix Tudum announced the return of the anthology on July 18, 2023. Its description highlighted stories involving Jake Paul, Johnny Manziel, Victor Conte’s doping scandal and the Florida Gators. The Florida Gators material connects to Swamp Kings, while the other subjects point toward the anthology’s mix of athlete biography, scandal and combat-sports culture.
Volume 4
The September 16, 2024 Volume 4 announcement identified The Murder of Air McNair, Sign Stealer and Hope Solo vs. U.S. Soccer. Those three titles make a varied mini-run: a murder investigation, a college-football controversy and a soccer governance dispute.
The 2026 return
Netflix Tudum’s August 19, 2026 announcement said the latest batch would begin August 25 with three weeks of standalone films exploring larger-than-life personalities beyond sports. The named releases are The Testimony of Vince Young, Raygun: Breaking Badly and Mr. T: I Pity the Fool. Their subjects span football, Olympic breaking and entertainment, showing how far the anthology’s cultural brief extends.

Are the UNTOLD UK documentaries part of the same series?
Yes. Netflix lists Untold UK: Jamie Vardy, Untold UK: Liverpool’s Miracle of Istanbul and Untold UK: Vinnie Jones as related UNTOLD-branded entries. They are best understood as a UK strand within the anthology, not as three chapters of one continuous story. You can watch them independently, and their British football setting makes them the clearest route for viewers seeking soccer rather than U.S. leagues.
Why a title may be missing in your country
A missing search result does not necessarily mean the documentary was canceled. Netflix availability can differ by country because distribution rights, release windows, local catalog decisions and account settings are not identical worldwide. A title can also appear in a catalog announcement before it reaches every territory.
- Search the exact title without punctuation, then try a distinctive two- or three-word phrase.
- Check that you are using the intended profile and that the profile’s maturity setting permits the documentary.
- Update the Netflix app or sign out and back in if the catalog appears stale on a television or console.
- Check the title page from a browser as well as the app; the interface can expose different search suggestions.
- Do not assume a VPN or a third-party listing reflects the catalog licensed to your account. The result shown by Netflix in your own country is the relevant availability check.
If the title still does not appear, wait for a regional release or catalog change rather than relying on an unofficial upload. Rights and release timing can change without altering the documentary’s name.
