Install the Crave app on a supported smart TV or streaming device, then sign in with the account linked to your subscription. If you have Bell Fibe TV, you may also be able to watch through your Bell receiver or the Fibe TV app. Crave is a Canadian service, and whether it plays depends on both your exact device and your subscription plan.
Before you start
- You need a Crave subscription or a TV-provider package that includes Crave. Installing the app alone does not unlock the library.
- Have the right sign-in ready: direct Crave subscribers use their Crave credentials; provider subscribers may need to link an account or use provider credentials.
- Connect your TV or streaming device to the internet and update its software.
- Check the exact model against Crave’s supported-device list. Support can depend on model, operating system and region, not just the TV brand.
Crave lists support across Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, select LG and Samsung smart TVs, PlayStation, Roku and Xbox One. See Crave’s platform information and verify your particular device before relying on it.
Install Crave on a smart TV
- Connect the TV to Wi-Fi or an Ethernet network.
- Open the television’s app store and search for Crave.
- Install the official Crave app published by Bell Media.
- Open the app, choose Sign in, and enter the credentials associated with your subscription. If the app displays an activation or account-linking prompt, follow its on-screen instructions.
- Choose a program and start playback.
Menu names vary by TV. “Samsung TV” or “LG TV” by itself does not guarantee compatibility: Crave supports only select models, and an older operating system may no longer offer the app.
Choose the instructions for your device
Apple TV
On an Apple TV box, open the tvOS App Store, search for Crave, install the app and sign in. AirPlay from an iPhone or iPad can be an option on compatible plan-and-device combinations, but it is not universal: Bell says AirPlay is not supported on its ad-supported Crave plan. If you have that plan, use the native app on a supported TV or streaming device instead.

Google TV, Android TV and Chromecast
If your Google TV or Android TV device offers the Crave app, install it and sign in. This native-app route is usually simpler than using a phone as the playback controller.
For a Chromecast-compatible television or Chromecast device, open the Crave mobile app and use its built-in Cast control. The phone or tablet and receiving device should be on the same Wi-Fi network. Casting is different from mirroring the entire phone screen: protected video may show a black screen or be blocked during generic screen mirroring. Prefer the native app or Crave’s own casting control.
Amazon Fire TV
Open the Amazon Appstore on Fire TV, search for Crave, install the official app and sign in. Do not assume every older Fire TV model supports the current app; check the exact model on Crave’s device list before buying hardware.

Roku
Crave lists Roku as a supported platform, but Bell says Roku is not supported on its ad-supported plan. Check your plan before installing or buying a Roku device; an upgrade message may reflect a plan restriction rather than an app problem. See Bell’s plan details.
PlayStation and Xbox
Crave lists PlayStation and Xbox One among its supported platform categories. Availability can still depend on the exact console, software and plan. Bell’s ad-supported-plan information excludes PS4 and PS5, so confirm your plan’s device rules before troubleshooting the app.
Watch through Bell Fibe TV
If Crave is part of your Bell TV package, you may be able to watch without opening the standalone Crave app:

- Press On Demand, go to Crave & more, and select Crave.
- Alternatively, open channel 1310 HD or 310 SD, then press Select.
- On supported equipment, open Apps, choose Crave and sign in with your MyBell username and password if prompted.
In the Fibe TV app, sign in with MyBell, open Menu, select On Demand, then select the Crave logo in the English or French section. Bell’s instructions and equipment limits are on its Crave and Fibe TV support page.
Bell says the Crave app is available on the VIP7802 Fibe receiver and Bell Streamer. Crave support ended on legacy Bell receivers on August 1, 2025. Provider access may use different menus, credentials and entitlements from a direct Crave subscription.
If your TV cannot run Crave
- Add a supported streaming device. Apple TV, Google TV/Chromecast, Fire TV and Roku are options, subject to the exact device and plan. Check Roku’s ad-plan limitation before purchasing.
- Use a supported game console if you already own one and your plan permits it.
- Use your TV provider’s receiver or app if your subscription includes Crave and your equipment is supported.
- Connect a computer to the TV by HDMI. This requires a compatible computer browser and an active internet connection; an HDMI cable by itself does not provide Crave access.
A separate streaming device can revive an older television’s streaming capability, but it adds hardware and another remote. Confirm Crave support for the exact model and subscription before spending money.

Plan restrictions to check
Device support is not the same as plan support. Bell says its ad-supported Crave plan does not support Roku, AirPlay, PS4, PS5 and select Bell Fibe TV HD/4K receivers; some titles may also be unavailable on that tier. If an app asks you to upgrade, check the subscription name, billing provider, device and title before changing plans.
Plan labels and features can differ by provider or sales channel. Bell pages have displayed different ad-plan names and stream or resolution limits. For example, Bell Mobility’s plan page displayed Standard With Ads at CAD $11.99 per month plus tax and Premium at CAD $22 per month plus tax on August 18, 2026; those details should not be assumed to apply to every Crave subscription. The Crave app is missing
Confirm the TV’s region is set to Canada, update its firmware, then check the exact model on Crave’s supported-device page. If the model is listed but the app still cannot be found, contact Crave support or use a supported external device.

I subscribed through Bell, but my login fails
Identify which Bell service bills you. Bell Mobility customers may need to link their subscription to a Crave account through MyBell and verify it with a one-time code by text. Bell TV customers may use MyBell credentials on the receiver or Fibe TV app. Direct Crave subscribers sign in with their Crave account. Follow Bell’s Mobility linking information or its Fibe TV instructions as applicable.
The app says I need to upgrade
Check whether the device or title is excluded on your plan, and confirm which provider bills you. Roku, AirPlay, PS4, PS5 and select Bell receivers are restrictions Bell identifies for its ad-supported plan. Try a supported native app only if your plan allows it; reinstalling the app will not remove a subscription entitlement limit.
Casting gives me a black screen
Use Crave’s own Cast or AirPlay control where supported rather than generic screen mirroring. Confirm both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network and check whether your plan permits that method. Otherwise, try the native Crave app on the TV or streaming device.

The TV may be unsupported, the plan may restrict that device, the TV app may need an update, or the account may be linked to a different provider subscription. Confirm the model, plan and billing account. If you are outside Canada or using a VPN, regional availability may also be involved; turn off an active VPN and confirm you are in Canada, but note that this may not resolve other compatibility problems.
I have an old Bell receiver
Bell ended Crave support on legacy receivers on August 1, 2025. Check whether your equipment can be replaced with supported Fibe hardware or a Bell Streamer, use the Fibe TV app if eligible, or use another supported streaming device.
Can I watch Crave in the United States?
Crave is a Canadian service, and its Canadian App Store listing says it is available only in Canada. A U.S. streaming device does not change that availability. See the Canadian App Store listing.
