Treat those figures as historical listing information rather than a guaranteed current price.
Hoopla and Fawesome

Is Christmas in the Spotlight based on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce?
Christmas in the Spotlight is a fictional Lifetime holiday romance that draws on the public Taylor Swift–Travis Kelce relationship phenomenon. It does not tell the real couple’s story, and its characters are not named Taylor Swift or Travis Kelce.

The movie follows Bowyn, a famous musician, and Drew, a professional football player who publicly admits that he has a crush on her. Their romance unfolds under the pressure of paparazzi, fans, family expectations, publicity, and the question of whether a relationship can survive when both people live under intense public scrutiny.
The safest description is that this is a fictionalized Lifetime holiday romance inspired by a recognizable celebrity-and-athlete narrative—not an authorized biography, documentary, or official adaptation. There is no basis in the supplied research for claiming that Swift, Kelce, or their representatives participated in the production.

What is the movie about?
Bowyn’s career has left little room for an ordinary dating life. Drew, a professional football player, changes that dynamic when he openly reveals his interest in her. As the pair begin dating, their private relationship becomes a public story. The film’s conflict comes from managing fame, media attention, fans, family pressure, and the fear that publicity could overwhelm the relationship itself.
That premise gives the movie the familiar ingredients of a holiday romance—celebrity pressure, an unexpected connection, and a test of whether love can work in difficult circumstances—while clearly using fictional characters rather than recreating the real Swift–Kelce relationship.

How to choose the best viewing option
- Want the most direct paid option? Compare Amazon Video and Fandango at Home. Check whether each offers rental, purchase, or both.
- Already use Google services? Search Google Play Movies for the current rental and purchase price. Do not rely on an older price displayed in search results.
- Want to watch without paying a rental fee? Check Hoopla first if you have access to a participating library, then verify whether Fawesome currently carries the title in your region.
- Looking for Lifetime’s own service? Use Lifetime’s official movie information to confirm the title, but do not assume that its historical website or app availability is still active. Look for a current listing or schedule.
Why the availability may differ for you
- Country: The options above are based on United States availability. Rights can differ substantially in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and elsewhere.
- Date: Digital storefronts and ad-supported catalogs can add or remove titles without much notice.
- Library eligibility: Hoopla access depends on whether your library participates and whether it offers this title to its members.
- Account and advertising requirements: A service described as free may still require registration, show advertisements, or restrict access by location.
- Device and format: A purchase or rental may be limited by the provider’s supported devices, app, resolution, or rental window.
For the most reliable result, search the exact title directly inside the service you plan to use and confirm the listing immediately before watching.
