In the United States, the simplest current online option is the 1-hour-15-minute broadcast presentation on PBS.org or the PBS app. If you want the fullest version of the concert, look for the complete-concert digital listing on Amazon Prime Video or another current digital storefront, or choose the Blu-ray/DVD release.
Availability, prices, and local PBS access can change, so confirm the listing and format before paying.
Where to watch Billy Joel: The 100th online
| Option | What you get | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| PBS.org or the PBS app | The 1-hour-15-minute broadcast special, subject to local PBS availability | Viewers looking for the easiest currently listed stream |
| Amazon Prime Video | A digital rental or purchase listing for The Complete Concert | Viewers who want the expanded performance online |
| Apple TV Store or Fandango At Home | Digital rental or purchase listings reported in current U.S. availability research | Viewers comparing storefronts |
| 2026 Blu-ray or DVD | The complete-concert home-video release, including songs omitted from the broadcast edit | Fans who want the most complete version and permanent home access |
1. Stream the broadcast special on PBS
Start with the PBS program page or the PBS app and search for Billy Joel: The 100th: Live at Madison Square Garden. PBS currently lists the title as a 1-hour-15-minute special presented by a local public television station. Its listed performances include “Piano Man,” “Uptown Girl,” “My Life,” “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant,” and “You May Be Right.” [CIT-003]
This is the most straightforward current streaming route if you simply want to watch the televised concert special online. PBS availability can depend on your local station, region, or account context, so the result you see may not be identical to what another viewer sees. If the program page does not offer playback, check your local PBS station’s schedule or sign-in options rather than assuming the title has been removed everywhere.
#1 Best Overall
- HEAR YOUR TV BETTER: Designed with simplicity in mind, the Bose TV Speaker is an all-in-one soundbar that clarifies speech and is a simple fix for better TV sound
- WIDE, NATURAL SOUND: 2 angled full-range drivers deliver a more realistic, spatial audio experience for overall better TV sound from a small soundbar
- ENHANCED DIALOGUE: This sound bar for smart tv is designed to specifically focus on clarifying and elevating vocals and pronunciation
- BLUETOOTH TV SPEAKER: Pair your device to this Bluetooth soundbar to wirelessly stream your favorite music and podcasts. Connect up to 3 devices through the inputs (HDMI, Optical in, and AUX in); the first powered on device will automatically connect
- SIMPLE SETUP: A single connection from this compact soundbar to the TV via an optical audio cable (included) or an HDMI cable (sold separately) has you up and running in minutes
Important: PBS carries the shorter broadcast presentation. It should not be described as the entire two-hour-plus concert.
2. Rent or buy the complete concert digitally
For the expanded performance, check the Amazon Prime Video listing titled Billy Joel: The 100th Live at Madison Square Garden (The Complete Concert). The listing describes the March 28, 2024 performance, Billy Joel’s seven-piece band, and surprise guests. At the time of the research check, it showed an HD rental for $4.99 and an HD purchase for $15.99, but digital prices and availability are changeable. Confirm the current price, rental period, resolution, and purchase terms on the listing before checkout. [CIT-004]
The Amazon listing is the better fit if your priority is watching the complete-concert version online, rather than the edited television special. The exact catalog entry, playback rights, and availability may vary by country; the prices above apply only to the U.S. listing captured in the research.
3. Check other U.S. digital storefronts
Current U.S. availability research also lists Amazon Video, the Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home as possible digital rental or purchase destinations, alongside PBS. These are storefront listings, not permanent guarantees: rights can move between services, and a title may be offered for purchase in one location but rental in another. [CIT-005]

With a frequency response of 45 Hz–18 kHz and a maximum SPL of 95 dB, it reproduces clear dialogue, detailed mids, and impactful bass for movies, music, and gaming.
If PBS does not provide access and Amazon is unavailable or has a different format than you want, search the exact title on the Apple TV Store or Fandango At Home and compare the displayed rental, purchase, video quality, and device support.
4. Choose the complete-concert Blu-ray or DVD
Fans who want the most complete version should consider Billy Joel – The 100th: Live at Madison Square Garden (The Complete Concert) on Blu-ray or DVD. Billy Joel’s official store lists a Blu-ray and DVD edition, with the Blu-ray described as a 4K capture with 5.1 audio. The listed release date is May 29, 2026. The official store’s collection listing showed the Blu-ray at $24.98 and the DVD at $21.98 when researched, although the individual Blu-ray page was marked sold out at the time of the crawl. [CIT-006][CIT-007]
You can also check Amazon for the Billy Joel The 100th complete concert Blu-ray, but verify stock, seller, delivery date, region compatibility, and price before ordering. Retailer inventory is not fixed, and a store page may show a third-party seller rather than the manufacturer’s current stock.
If you do not have a Blu-ray player, the DVD edition is the simpler physical-media choice. The DVD will not provide the Blu-ray’s higher-resolution presentation, but it is suitable for standard DVD hardware.
Why the complete concert is different from the PBS special
The versions are not interchangeable. PBS identifies its presentation as 1 hour and 15 minutes, while the complete-concert release contains a substantially expanded program with 25 numbered songs or song segments. The longer release includes material identified as unseen in the original 2024 broadcast.

That explains why older search results may tell you to use Paramount+. However, those 2024 announcements do not by themselves confirm that Paramount+ is still carrying the title now. Check Paramount+’s current catalog directly if you already subscribe, but treat PBS and the currently listed digital or physical releases as the more reliable starting points.
How the concert fits into Billy Joel’s Madison Square Garden residency
The recording captures Billy Joel’s record-breaking 100th consecutive residency performance at Madison Square Garden on March 28, 2024. The concert special was co-produced by Sony Music Entertainment and Enliven Entertainment, with Sony Music Vision as distributor. Billy Joel’s official announcement described it as his first concert to air on a broadcast network. [CIT-002]
Those details matter because some search pages use “Billy Joel 100th live” as if it referred to a future event. The title refers to a completed performance and its later broadcast and home-video releases.

- Only have a DVD player? Look for the complete-concert DVD.

What to avoid

- Do not assume a 2024 Paramount+ announcement proves current Paramount+ availability.
- Avoid unofficial uploads, pirated streams, and pages that use the title to redirect viewers to unrelated services.
- Before paying, confirm that the listing says The Complete Concert if that is the version you want.
