It does not list a native Windows 11 app as of August 18, 2026. The safest option is to read at WEBTOON.com in a desktop browser; Microsoft Edge can install that site as an app-like shortcut if you want a dedicated window.
Use WEBTOON in a Windows 11 browser
WEBTOON’s support page, updated May 16, 2025, says the service’s native app works on iOS and Android and that the website is available through a web browser. See the official device guidance.
- Open Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox or another current desktop browser.
- Go directly to www.webtoons.com and verify the domain before signing in.
- Sign in if you want your reading history, subscriptions and other account data to follow you.
- Search for a series and begin reading in the browser window.
This is the recommended method for most Windows users: it requires no extra software and uses WEBTOON’s official desktop route.
Install WEBTOON as an app-like shortcut in Microsoft Edge
Edge can package a website in its own window, without the usual browser tab strip. This is an installed website wrapper, not a native WEBTOON Windows application.

- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Visit the official WEBTOON website.
- Select the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
- Choose More tools, then Apps.
- Select Install this site as an app.
- Confirm the name and select Install.
- When Edge offers the choices, enable any combination of Pin to taskbar, Pin to Start and Create desktop shortcut.
Microsoft documents this feature at Install, manage or uninstall apps in Microsoft Edge. Manage the installed shortcut later by opening edge://apps, where you can launch, pin, configure or uninstall it.
- The window still runs on Edge and follows normal website behavior.
- It does not turn the site into a native Windows codebase.
- It does not add the mobile app’s offline-download capability.
Can you download WEBTOON from the Microsoft Store?
Windows Store installation normally means opening Microsoft Store, searching for a listing, selecting it and choosing Get or Install; Microsoft’s general instructions are at Get apps from Microsoft Store. However, WEBTOON’s own platform documentation identifies iOS and Android for the native app and browsers for desktop access. A listing containing “webtoon,” “manga” or “comic reader” is therefore not automatically the official WEBTOON service.
Check the publisher and domain before installing anything. Store availability can vary by country, device compatibility, family settings or whether a listing has been removed. Microsoft lists those causes at I can’t find or install an app from Microsoft Store. Resetting the Store will not create a listing that WEBTOON has not published. If you are troubleshooting a legitimate Store app, press Windows key + R, enter wsreset.exe, and select OK.
Offline reading on a Windows PC
Do not expect mobile-style episode downloads in the Windows browser or in an Edge-installed site. WEBTOON’s device guidance describes episode downloads as a mobile-app feature and identifies downloaded episodes with mobile devices. Browser caching is not an official offline-reading method, and installing the site through Edge does not change that.

If official offline downloads are the deciding feature, use the WEBTOON app on a supported Android or iOS device. WEBTOON’s download help also describes restrictions on downloaded episodes; do not use extensions, modified apps or other workarounds to bypass those restrictions. Run the Android app with an emulator
An Android emulator can run the mobile WEBTOON app inside Windows, but it is an optional workaround, not an official Windows edition. Consider it only if you specifically need the Android interface or a mobile-only function.
Typical BlueStacks setup
- Download BlueStacks from its official site, bluestacks.com, rather than a file-sharing or APK site.
- Install it on Windows 11 using the vendor’s Windows 11 installation guidance.
- Open the emulator’s Google Play environment.
- Search for the official WEBTOON app and install it from Google Play.
- Sign in to the intended WEBTOON account and use the app in the emulator window.
BlueStacks states that it supports clients downloaded through its official website, not unofficial repackaged clients. Emulator results depend on Windows edition, Intel/AMD or ARM hardware, virtualization settings, graphics drivers, emulator version and regional Google Play availability. Windows 11 ARM devices can have different support from Intel or AMD PCs, so verify compatibility with the selected emulator before committing.
Costs and trade-offs
- An emulator adds another large software layer and can use substantially more RAM, CPU, storage and battery than a browser tab.
- Virtualization may need to be enabled, and graphics glitches, slow scrolling or failed installation are possible.
- Keyboard, scrolling and window resizing may feel less natural than the website.
- Google Play may show a different catalog or language based on account and region.
- Do not install random WEBTOON APKs or modified builds, even when they promise free Coins or unlocked episodes.

Troubleshooting
WEBTOON will not load or images are blank
- Confirm you are using the official domain and a current browser.
- Maximize the window and adjust browser zoom if panels or controls are too small.
- Try a private window or another current browser.
- Temporarily disable only the extension, ad blocker, VPN or network filter suspected of interfering; do not permanently remove security protection.
Login fails
Check the account credentials, allow required cookies for WEBTOON, and retry in a private window or a second browser. Avoid entering your password into a third-party reader.

Edge does not show the Apps command
Make sure the site is open in Edge, then check edge://apps. Menu labels can move between Edge releases; updating Edge may restore the current path.
The emulator is slow or cannot install WEBTOON
Check virtualization, graphics-driver updates, available storage and the emulator vendor’s current compatibility guidance. A region or Google Play account restriction can also hide the app. If ordinary reading is your goal, return to the browser rather than adding more software.
Safety checklist
- Use www.webtoons.com or the official mobile stores.
- Confirm the publisher before installing a Store or Google Play listing.
- Avoid “WEBTOON for PC” installers from file-sharing sites, modified APKs and “free Coins” tools.
- Do not use browser extensions that claim to download protected episodes.
- Remember that an Edge shortcut is an installed website, not proof of a native Windows app.
The Bottom Line
Best overall: read WEBTOON in a desktop browser. Best app-like option: install the site through Edge. Use an emulator only when you specifically need the Android app experience; avoid unofficial installers and APK sites.
