Use YouTube Community posts to point viewers to the correct live stream, explain what is happening now or next, and give them a timely reason to watch. For an always-on channel, post around real programming moments—not on an invented daily schedule—and make the stream easy to find even when no post is new.
Start with the right destination and a clear reason to click
Link directly to the live stream or its scheduled watch page. Say plainly that it runs around the clock, then make the post about something specific: a documentary block, a planned guest appearance, a special event, or a question viewers can answer. A link without context tells people where to go; a relevant update tells them why to go now.
YouTube’s live-stream promotion guidance recommends sharing the streaming link at least 48 hours before going live. That advice is aimed at promoting an event, so for a continuous stream, apply it to planned segments or special programming—not as a requirement to announce an already-running stream two days in advance. Choose a post format that fits the update
YouTube’s post composer supports text, images, polls, quizzes, and shared video; its instructions also cover creating a live-stream post. Choose the format for the job rather than assuming one format performs best.

- Text: Announce a program block, a schedule change, or what is live now. Put the stream link and the useful detail up front.
- Image: Add visual context when a still helps viewers recognize the documentary, theme, or event. Use an image that accurately represents what they will find.
- Poll or question: Invite viewers to choose a topic or share a response when participation is genuinely relevant. Make clear how the prompt connects to the stream.
- Shared video: Point to a trailer or related clip when it gives viewers useful context for the live destination.

Plan posts around meaningful moments, not a fixed quota
A 24/7 stream does not need a fresh announcement every day simply because it remains live. Build posts around changes viewers can act on: a scheduled program, an event, a new theme, or a viewer prompt. If a post can be scheduled, set its date, time, and time zone to match that moment; YouTube’s instructions explain how to schedule a post.

YouTube limits how many posts a channel may publish within a 24-hour period, but its cited guidance does not give a universal numeric quota or prescribe a best posting frequency. There is no official daily or weekly cadence specified for promoting a continuous stream. Keep the schedule useful and respect the platform’s posting limit rather than filling the feed with repetitive reminders. See YouTube’s post guidance.
Make the stream discoverable between posts
Posts are only one route to the stream. YouTube recommends creating a Live section on your channel for upcoming and live events. It also says subscribers may see a public event in their Home feed and may find a stream in What to Watch Next; those are possible discovery surfaces, not guaranteed placement or notifications. For scheduled streams, YouTube offers a trailer that can play on the watch page before the stream begins. The stated eligibility is more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes; the stated trailer length is 15 seconds to 3 minutes. These are platform requirements that can change, so verify the current details in YouTube’s trailer instructions before relying on eligibility.
Keep the stream useful after a post leaves the feed
YouTube says live-stream archives upload by default. Making eligible archives public can help future viewers find the content, while playlists can organize full archives and highlight clips into browsable collections. Some eligible mobile broadcasts can also produce Shorts highlights, subject to format and other restrictions. These steps give a viewer who finds an older post or channel page a route into more of the stream’s material. A practical workflow for a continuous stream
- Choose the destination: Copy the direct live-stream or scheduled watch-page link you want viewers to open.
- Pick a real hook: Identify what is live now or what is coming up—a documentary block, event, guest, or useful viewer prompt.
- Write the post: State that the channel is live around the clock, explain the hook in a sentence, and include the link. Add a poll, image, or video only when it adds context or participation.
- Time it: For an event or planned segment, share in advance; YouTube’s event guidance says at least 48 hours before going live. Schedule the post for a relevant date and time zone if that feature suits your plan.
- Support discovery: Keep the Live section and channel information useful, and organize archives and highlights so viewers have a next step beyond the post.
There is no published conversion rate or causal viewership figure for Community posts directing viewers to a 24/7 stream. Treat this as a clear, sensible promotion routine—not a guaranteed growth formula.
