TikTok’s current help documentation does not show a single switch that turns off Add Yours everywhere. You can turn off related notifications, change the privacy of a post linked to a prompt, limit reuse of your videos, and avoid adding the prompt to future posts. The right fix depends on whether you want to stop alerts, remove the prompt from one of your videos, or reduce how others interact with your content.
Choose the fix for what you want to stop

What Add Yours does
Add Yours is a prompt that invites people to respond with their own photo or video. A creator can add a prompt while making a post, and other users can respond to it. TikTok’s Add Yours help page explains how to create, respond to, and review these posts. It does not document a master setting for disabling the feature across an account.
Prompts and responses can also generate activity notifications. If your main problem is a busy Inbox or frequent alerts, adjust notifications rather than changing a video’s privacy or deleting it.
Turn off Add Yours notifications
- Open TikTok and tap Profile.
- Tap the Menu ☰ button.
- Tap Settings and privacy, then Notifications.
- Turn off the available activity categories related to Add Yours, mentions, tags, or similar activity.
The exact category names and grouping can vary by app version, device, region, and account. TikTok’s notification guidance describes the settings path and notes that device notification settings can also control TikTok alerts. You can separately block or limit TikTok notifications in your phone’s iOS or Android settings; that may affect other TikTok alerts too.

There is also an Inbox filter: open Inbox → Activities → All activity, then filter to Add Yours. This helps you find or narrow the activity shown in the Inbox; it is not a switch that disables the feature or push notifications.
Remove Add Yours from a video you already published
TikTok says you cannot remove only the Add Yours button from a post after it has been published. The documented alternatives are to change the post’s privacy or delete the post. Changing privacy can reduce who sees the video, but it does not remove the video itself. Deleting it removes the whole post, including its existing likes, comments, views, and shares.
If TikTok automatically added an Add Yours button after identifying a popular topic, check the related notification. TikTok says you can use the contact or removal option provided there to request removal. That route applies when TikTok sent the relevant notification; it is not a general editing control for every post.

Keep Add Yours off future posts
When making a video or photo post, do not tap Add Yours on the editing screen. If you open Stickers, do not select the Add Yours sticker. Continue to the post screen and publish without adding the prompt. TikTok’s help page describes Add Yours as a creation option; it is not required for an ordinary post.
If you believe TikTok attached a prompt automatically, look for its notification and use the contact or removal option there if one is provided. TikTok does not document an account-wide setting that guarantees it will never attach or recommend a prompt.
Limit reuse of your videos
If your concern is people making stickers or otherwise reusing your content, TikTok offers a broader control: Profile → Menu ☰ → Settings and privacy → Privacy → Reuse of content. Adjust Allow reuse of content from. For one post, open the video, tap More options … → Privacy settings, then change Allow reuse of content.

This is not a dedicated Add Yours off switch, and TikTok does not say that it removes every Add Yours prompt. Its sticker and reuse guidance warns that restricting reuse also affects Stitch, Duet, and adding the post to another person’s Story. Consider that trade-off before changing the setting.

Some older third-party instructions describe an invitation control under Creator Tools → Add Yours → ⋯ → Who can invite you to Add Yours → No one. TikTok’s current official Add Yours documentation does not confirm that path, so it may be outdated, experimental, or available only to some accounts. If your account shows an invitation control in TikTok Studio or another creator area, choose the most restrictive option available; do not assume every account has it.
To review your own Add Yours activity, TikTok documents this route: Profile → Menu ☰ → TikTok Studio → More tools → Add Yours. The Added tab shows prompts you created, and To add shows prompts you were invited to respond to. This is an activity-management area, not a documented universal disable setting.

If a setting is missing
TikTok’s labels and menus can change, and available controls may differ by app version, device, region, age, or account. Update the app, close and reopen it, and check both Settings and privacy → Notifications and TikTok Studio → Add Yours. If TikTok automatically attached a button and you cannot find a removal option, use TikTok’s in-app Help Center or support flow. These steps may help locate a control, but they cannot guarantee that an account-specific setting exists.
Age-related privacy rules can also affect reuse controls. TikTok’s guidance for users under 18, for example, says users aged 13–15 cannot allow others to create stickers from their videos. Do not assume that every account has the same options.
Making an account private, or turning off Stitch or Duet, should not be treated as a confirmed way to disable Add Yours: these are separate controls, and TikTok does not document them as a feature-wide Add Yours switch.
