Yes. Netflix lets you transfer a profile to a new or existing account using Account → Profiles → Profile Transfer in a web browser. The transfer copies the profile, including viewing history and recommendations, so the original remains on the old account until it is deleted. Payment details do not transfer.
What Netflix Profile Transfer keeps
Netflix says Profile Transfer copies profile-level information to the destination account. This includes:

Netflix identifies these categories, but does not promise that every playback detail will appear exactly as it did before.

Use an active source account and start from a web browser. A Kids profile cannot be transferred. A profile with a Profile Lock PIN or an email address attached must have those removed first. A profile in an Extra Member account is also subject to separate restrictions; in particular, a primary profile cannot be transferred to an Extra Member slot. Remove a profile PIN
In a browser, open Account, select the profile under Profiles, then choose Profile Lock. Verify your identity and select Delete Profile Lock. If you forgot the PIN, use Netflix’s Forgot PIN? option or follow its Profile Lock help instructions. You can set a new lock on the destination account after transferring.
Remove a profile email
If the profile has its own email address attached, remove it in the profile’s personal or contact information settings in the Account page before starting. Netflix explains how secondary-profile email addresses work in its help article.

Transfer a profile to a new account
- In a web browser, sign in to the Netflix account that currently has the profile.
- Open the Account page.
- Under Profiles, select the profile to transfer.
- Choose Profile Transfer, then Start Profile Transfer.
- Select A New Account.
- Enter the email address and password for the new account.
- Complete the account setup and payment prompts.
- Sign in to the new account and check that the transferred profile is there.

Follow the same steps from the source account, but choose An Existing Account instead of A New Account. Enter the destination account’s email and password, then choose Transfer Profile. Sign in to the destination account afterward to verify the profile.

Choose a new account if you want an independent login and billing arrangement. Choose an existing account if you already have one and want the profile added there. This does not merge the two accounts or combine their billing histories.
What happens to the old profile?
For transfers to a new or existing account, Netflix makes a copy. The original profile stays on the source account unless someone deletes it. Check the destination profile’s name and icon, Continue Watching, recommendations, My List, ratings, language and subtitle preferences, maturity settings, and game saves before removing the old copy.

Deleting a profile removes its viewing history and game saves from that account. The original account’s primary profile cannot be deleted. See Netflix’s guidance on creating and deleting profiles.

What does not transfer?
Payment information, the source subscription, and account-wide billing or ownership arrangements do not move with the profile. Set up or confirm payment separately on the destination account. If your Netflix membership is through a partner package or third-party billing, the process may require another payment method or linking the new account to the package afterward; consult Netflix’s partner-billing instructions.

If Profile Transfer is missing
- Make sure you are using a web browser and signed in to the source account.
- Confirm that the source membership is active.
- Check that Profile Transfer is enabled. If it is off, open Netflix’s transfer help page while signed in and choose Allow. Use the confirmation email’s Enable Instantly option, or wait two days for automatic enablement.
- Confirm the profile is not a Kids profile or an Extra Member profile.
- Remove any Profile Lock PIN and any email address attached to the profile.
- After changing settings, sign out and back in, then check the Account page again.
If you entered an email and password while creating a new account but did not finish, sign in with those credentials in a browser and choose Finish Transfer. If the option remains unavailable despite meeting the requirements, contact Netflix through its Profile Transfer help page.
Profile Transfer, changing your email, or an Extra Member?
Changing the account email is not a profile transfer. It changes the login identity for the same account and does not separate one profile from it. Netflix also says the new primary email cannot already be used by another Netflix account; see how to change your account email.
An Extra Member may suit someone who wants to keep access under another account owner’s subscription arrangement rather than create an independent account. Availability depends on country, plan, and billing arrangement. Netflix says Extra Members are generally limited to qualifying Standard or Premium plans, are unavailable on ad-supported plans, and must be activated in the account owner’s country. Some bundled or partner-billed accounts are not eligible. A profile can be transferred to an Extra Member only during the purchase process—not after the slot has been created—and a primary profile cannot be used. Check Netflix’s Extra Member rules before choosing this route.
If you are moving to another country, profile transfer does not itself change your billing country or catalog. Netflix says a move generally requires canceling the membership, waiting for it to end, and restarting in the new country; see its country-change guidance.
