To move a Hindi YouTube live loop from Restream to OneStream Live, reconnect the same YouTube channel in OneStream, recreate the pre-recorded event and its Hindi metadata, choose a finite repeat count or the separate 24/7 option, then test the new broadcast before ending the old one. Treat this as a rebuild, not an account transfer: provider documentation describes creating an event in OneStream, not importing Restream schedules or settings.
What changes when you switch
The two services document different loop limits and behavior. Restream’s pre-recorded workflow supports up to 10 repeats, with looping available on its Marathon and Media add-on plans. OneStream’s loop procedure describes up to 60 loops; its separate infinite 24/7 feature is described for YouTube only. Check the controls and availability in your own OneStream account before relying on continuous playback.
| Decision | Restream documentation | OneStream Live documentation | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-recorded event | Select or upload a video, enter event details, choose a destination, and schedule it (Restream Help Center). | Select or upload a video, choose a destination, add details, and schedule it (OneStream Live Help Center). | Recreate the event and verify the destination. |
| Finite loop | Up to 10 repeats; looping is available on Marathon and Media add-on plans (Restream Help Center). | Up to 60 loops in the documented loop procedure, last updated September 21, 2026 (OneStream Live Help Center). | Choose a repeat count deliberately rather than assuming it carries over. |
| Continuous 24/7 | The cited Restream pre-recorded documentation describes up to 10 repeats, not an infinite YouTube loop. | Infinite 24/7 looping is described for YouTube only; confirm account availability (OneStream Live Help Center). | Use the continuous option only if it appears in your account and the destination is YouTube. |
Before you disconnect Restream
Record the current setup
Make a migration note with the YouTube channel, source video file, Hindi title and description, thumbnail, any tags or category you use, visibility, schedule and time zone, and whether the loop is finite or meant to run continuously. Keep a local copy of the actual video if you need an archive. These are event details to rebuild; the provider documentation does not describe a Restream-to-OneStream export.
Check rights and YouTube eligibility
- YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days. Its current getting-started guidance also says creators must be at least 16 to livestream. Check eligibility before the planned test (YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming).
- Confirm that you have the necessary rights to rebroadcast the video, music, images, and other third-party material. YouTube’s livestream terms require rights for worldwide use, including relevant music rights (YouTube Terms of Service).
- Do not assume a 24/7 loop will be available as a complete YouTube replay. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams over 12 hours may not be captured at all (YouTube Help: Archive live streams).
Reconnect the same YouTube channel in OneStream
- Sign in to OneStream Live and open Social Platforms.
- Choose Add Account, select YouTube, and authorize the Google account that owns the intended channel. Restream’s YouTube guidance likewise notes that the channel owner must authorize the account. If the wrong channel connects, check which Google account is selected and reconnect the intended one (Restream Help Center: Connect YouTube).
- Confirm the connected channel is the one you plan to use before building the event. Do not assume the old Restream connection, schedule, or metadata transfers.
Recreate the Hindi pre-recorded event
- In OneStream, select Pre-recorded Stream.
- Add the video from Device, OSL Storage, or Cloud Storage, depending on where your source file is stored.
- Choose YouTube as the destination and select the connected channel.
- Re-enter the Hindi title, description, tags, and thumbnail. Review visibility and schedule settings, including the time zone; do not rely on Restream event details being copied.
- Set the loop behavior. For a finite replay, select the intended repeat count within the documented OneStream limit of up to 60 loops. For a continuous channel, use the separate 24/7 feature only if the control is available in your account and YouTube is the destination. The OneStream procedure states, “The video will loop seamlessly as it streams to your viewers” (OneStream Live Help Center).
- Schedule the event. The first-stream guide lists title, description, tags, and thumbnail among the event details (OneStream Live Help Center).
Test the new loop before replacing the old one
- Schedule a private or unlisted test if your channel workflow allows it.
- Open YouTube Studio and verify the event appears on the intended channel with the correct Hindi title and thumbnail.
- Watch the start of the test: confirm that video and audio are present, then verify that the selected repeat behavior matches your plan.
- Monitor the stream’s audio and video quality. YouTube recommends checking that an event is accessible and monitoring the stream (YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming).
- Once the replacement is verified, schedule the public version and then end or remove the old Restream schedule. Avoid having both services broadcast to the same channel at once unless that overlap is intentional.
Archive, monetization, and stream settings to understand
A 24/7 broadcast is not a dependable full-length archive
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. A continuous loop should not be treated as a single complete replay; keep the original local file or another recording if you need a full archive.

Looping does not guarantee monetization eligibility
YouTube’s July 15, 2025 policy clarification says repetitive or mass-produced content may be classified as “inauthentic content” and be ineligible for monetization. Its examples include highly repetitive material with little educational value, commentary, narrative, or variation. Changing streaming providers does not change the content or settle its eligibility (YouTube Help: Channel monetization policies).
Encoder settings may not apply to a cloud pre-recorded workflow
Restream’s YouTube encoder guidance recommends H.264 video, CBR, two-second keyframes, and AAC or MP3 audio (Restream Help Center: Stream to YouTube). These settings matter when configuring an encoder; a cloud pre-recorded workflow may not expose them. Do not change a source or encoder setting unless the controls are part of the workflow you are using.

Troubleshooting migration problems
- The wrong YouTube channel is connected: Check the active Google account during authorization, then reconnect the account that owns the intended channel.
- The 24/7 or loop control is missing: Check the OneStream dashboard and current plan; documentation does not establish entitlement for every account. Use the finite loop control if that is what your account provides.
- The event has the wrong title, thumbnail, or schedule: Edit the newly created OneStream event. Restream event metadata is not documented as transferring automatically.
- The test has no sound or video: Verify the selected source file and replay the scheduled test while monitoring YouTube Studio. If you are using an encoder rather than OneStream’s pre-recorded workflow, check the encoder’s video and audio settings.
- The loop stops sooner than expected: Recheck whether you configured a finite repeat count or selected the separate continuous feature, and confirm that the account has access to the option you intended.
- The YouTube archive is incomplete or missing: This can happen with streams over 12 hours; use a local source or recording when a complete archive matters.
- YouTube blocks live access: Check channel verification and any live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days before troubleshooting the streaming service.
