Super Bowl LVII was played on February 12, 2023, so there is no live stream of that game now. When it aired, FOX carried the U.S. broadcast. Viewers could watch through FOX’s digital services, a live-TV service carrying their local FOX station, or an antenna that could receive that station. This guide describes those options as they applied to the 2023 game; it does not promise that a replay is currently available.
When and where was Super Bowl LVII?
The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday, February 12, 2023. Kickoff was scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET (5:30 p.m. CT, 4:30 p.m. MT and 3:30 p.m. PT). FOX carried the English-language U.S. telecast, FOX Deportes carried Spanish-language coverage, and Westwood One was the national radio option. FOX’s programming announcement also listed pregame programming beginning earlier in the day, including a special Skip & Shannon: Undisputed at 11 a.m. ET and Road to the Super Bowl at noon.
How viewers could stream it in 2023
The simplest route depended on what access a viewer already had. FOX announced that the game would be streamed on FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports app. Depending on the platform and account, viewers might have needed to sign in with a participating TV provider. Downloading the app did not guarantee an unrestricted, no-login stream.
- If you had cable or satellite: Check that your package included the local FOX affiliate. Open FOXSports.com or the FOX Sports app, choose the live game, and authenticate with your TV-provider account if prompted.
- If you had no traditional TV subscription: A live-TV streaming service could carry the game if it offered your local FOX station. Contemporary guides listed YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, DIRECTV STREAM, FuboTV and Sling TV. Availability varied by ZIP code, and the ordinary on-demand Hulu plan was not the same as Hulu + Live TV. - If you wanted to avoid a monthly streaming subscription: An antenna could receive the local FOX broadcast where signal conditions allowed. Reception depended on distance from the station, terrain, buildings and antenna placement; check local reception and test the antenna before relying on it.
- If you were watching on a phone or another supported device: FOX’s app and NFL digital properties were among the options. FOX’s postgame report listed the NFL app, NFL.com, connected-TV NFL apps and NFL+ for subscribers among the digital destinations carrying the game. NFL+ was not a universal substitute for the FOX telecast on every television: eligibility and device support depended on the service’s terms and the device.
For a 2023 live-TV service, check the exact ZIP code and confirm the local FOX affiliate was included before subscribing. The lineup could differ by market, even when a service advertised FOX generally. Trial offers, prices and cancellation rules also varied and changed; a trial was not guaranteed to be available to every viewer.

Could you watch for free?
The clearest no-subscription possibility was an antenna, if it could receive the local FOX station. The antenna itself might require an upfront purchase, and reception was not guaranteed. Some streaming services offered trials or promotions around the game, but terms and eligibility were provider-specific. FOX confirmed digital streaming, but its cited announcement does not establish that every viewer could watch online free of charge without authentication. Treating the FOX Sports app or NFL+ as a guaranteed free stream would overstate what the sources establish.
Was the game available in 4K?
FOX announced 4K/UHD viewing through the FOX Sports app on compatible 4K devices or televisions, and identified participating distributors for its postseason 4K broadcasts. Those included FuboTV, DIRECTV, DISH, Verizon Fios, Comcast Xfinity, Cox, Optimum and YouTube TV. See FOX’s 4K and distributor announcement.

That did not mean every viewer with a 4K television received a 4K stream. Availability depended on the particular distributor, market, plan, app, device and connection; some services required a qualifying plan or add-on. FOX described the production as 1080p HDR produced for 4K distribution, so “4K” should not be read as a guarantee that every step of the production and delivery chain was native 4K.
What to check if the stream did not work
- FOX was missing from a streaming service: Recheck availability using the precise ZIP code and confirm the plan included the local station. A national channel list was not proof that a local affiliate was available in every market.
- The app asked for a TV-provider login: That could be a normal authentication requirement. Confirm the account was active and included FOX, then sign out and back in if necessary. Try the service’s web player or another supported device.
- The app showed the wrong location: Disable a VPN or proxy, check location permissions, and reopen the app. Location masking can interfere with local-channel access.
- The picture buffered: Restart the app and device, stop other high-bandwidth activity, and use Ethernet or move closer to the router if possible. Lowering video quality or switching devices may help. Internet streams can also arrive later than antenna or cable broadcasts.
- 4K was unavailable: Confirm that the event and distributor supported it in your market, that your plan qualified, and that the app, device, TV input and connection were compatible. A 4K display alone was not enough.
- You planned to use an antenna: Scan for channels after connecting it and test reception on the television you intended to use. If the signal was unreliable, have a legitimate streaming alternative ready.
What these instructions mean now
As of September 23, 2026, Super Bowl LVII is a past event: the original live broadcast and the 2023 service arrangements are not current viewing offers. Do not sign up for a service on the assumption that it will provide a live stream of that game. FOX’s app and distribution arrangements have since changed; its FOX One FAQ describes the later transition for TV and connected devices. That change does not establish whether a complete replay of Super Bowl LVII is currently available. Check a service’s current catalog directly if you are looking for a replay, and distinguish full-game replays from highlights or clips.
