Walmart+ members can activate Paramount+ Essential at no additional charge through the Walmart+ Benefits Hub, then watch on Paramount+ using the linked Paramount+ account. The benefit is U.S.-focused, includes the ad-supported Essential plan—not Premium—and requires an active eligible Walmart+ membership.
These instructions reflect Walmart’s published information as of August 2026.
What Walmart+ includes
Walmart+ members choose between two ad-supported streaming benefits: Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium. Only one can be selected at a time, and Walmart says members can switch services once every 90 days.

Paramount+ Essential is included with Walmart+; it is not the ad-free Paramount+ Premium plan. Walmart currently lists standard Walmart+ pricing at $12.95 per month plus tax or $98 per year plus tax. Promotional, student, Assist, and trial pricing may differ.

How to activate Paramount+ on Walmart.com
- Go to Walmart.com and sign in to the Walmart account that holds your Walmart+ membership.
- Open Account, then select Walmart+.
- Open the Walmart+ Benefits Hub or select See all your Walmart+ Benefits.
- Find Video Streaming Choice or the Paramount+ benefit and select Get Paramount+.
- Choose to sign in to an existing Paramount+ account or create one.
- Complete the account-linking form and accept the applicable terms.
- After setup is confirmed, go to Paramount+ and sign in with the linked Paramount+ credentials.
Menu wording can vary. Look for the streaming-benefit tile, Video Streaming Choice, or Manage plan rather than relying on one exact screen position.
How to activate it in the Walmart app
- Open the Walmart app and sign in to the account paying for Walmart+.
- Tap Account, then Walmart+.
- Tap See all your Walmart+ Benefits if the streaming tile is not immediately visible.
- Open Video Streaming Choice or the Paramount+ tile.
- Tap Get Paramount+, then sign in to or create your Paramount+ account.
Walmart establishes the entitlement and links the accounts; viewing takes place through the Paramount+ activation flow, Paramount+ website, or Paramount+ app on a currently supported device. The complete catalog does not appear inside the Walmart shopping app.

Can an existing Paramount+ subscriber use the benefit?
Yes, but an active paid Paramount+ subscription must be canceled and allowed to fully expire before Walmart+ activation. Canceling alone may not be enough if the current billing period is still running.
If Paramount+ is billed directly, cancel it through Paramount. If another company bills the subscription, cancel through that provider. Wait until access ends, then return to Walmart Account > Walmart+ > Benefits Hub and complete the linking process. Avoid creating a second Paramount+ account while the old subscription remains active.
An existing Paramount+ account with no active paid subscription may be usable through Walmart’s sign-in-and-link process.

How to upgrade to Paramount+ Premium
Walmart currently lists the Premium upgrade at $5 per month plus tax or $50 per year plus tax. Prices can change, and the amount displayed during enrollment or renewal controls.
To upgrade:
- Sign in to Walmart.
- Open Account > Walmart+.
- Find your current Paramount+ plan.
- Select Manage plan.
- Choose Paramount+ Premium.
- Select a payment method and confirm.
The upgrade requires an active paid Walmart+ membership and is billed by Walmart through Walmart+ membership billing. It is not necessarily billed by Paramount+. Walmart’s terms also state that Premium upgrade fees are generally non-refundable, so check the displayed billing and cancellation terms before confirming.
How to downgrade Premium
- Open Account > Walmart+.
- Select the Paramount+ plan and choose Manage plan.
- Choose the included plan.
- Confirm the downgrade.
A downgrade generally remains in effect through the current paid billing period and does not automatically produce a refund for unused time. Check the renewal date shown in your account.

Can you switch from Paramount+ to Peacock?
Yes, but Walmart allows a streaming-benefit change only once every 90 days. One included streaming service must be selected at a time.
Switching away from Paramount+ has an important consequence: Walmart’s terms say a paid Paramount+ Premium upgrade ends immediately when you switch to Peacock. You may also need to register again if you later switch back to Paramount+.

Paramount+ access through Walmart+ depends on an active eligible membership. If Walmart+ is canceled, the streaming entitlement ends when the applicable membership term ends. Pausing Walmart+ suspends its benefits while the membership is paused.

Walmart says trials may include access to the included streaming benefit, but only paid members may purchase the Paramount+ Premium upgrade. To manage cancellation or pausing, use Walmart’s Walmart+ cancellation controls.
Paramount+ through Walmart+ is not working

If the benefit is still missing, sign out of Walmart, sign back in, open the Walmart+ page directly, and verify your location and membership status. Walmart+ requires a U.S. billing address, and availability may be limited in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. For unresolved eligibility or activation issues, contact Walmart support.
Is Walmart+ worth getting just for Paramount+?
Walmart+ may make sense if you already use its delivery, shipping, fuel, or other benefits and want Paramount+ Essential included. It may be a poor fit if you want Paramount+ alone, require ad-free viewing, or prefer Paramount’s direct subscription-management system.
A direct Paramount+ subscription may also suit viewers who want to avoid Walmart’s 90-day streaming-choice rule. Compare the current Walmart+ price, applicable taxes, promotions, and the value of the other Walmart+ benefits rather than assuming a fixed saving.
