The current cable-free way to stream MSG Network is an MSG+ subscription sold through DAZN. Gotham Sports’ current subscription page says MSG+ subscriptions are exclusively available on DAZN. Before paying, enter your ZIP code, confirm that the team and game you want are included, and check the current blackout listing. A subscription can be valid while a particular game is unavailable in your location because of regional or exclusive broadcast rights.
You can watch through a supported web browser, phone or tablet app, or TV device such as Roku, Android TV, or tvOS. Existing pay-TV customers may also authenticate through DAZN with their provider credentials, but that is an access method for an eligible TV subscription rather than a cable-free replacement.
The cable-free route: MSG+ through DAZN
MSG Network’s direct-to-consumer streaming product is MSG+. As of October 13, 2026, Gotham Sports’ subscription page says MSG+ subscriptions are available exclusively through DAZN. That makes DAZN the starting point if you want MSG programming without buying a traditional cable package.
Do not assume that finding a DAZN signup screen guarantees access to every MSG event. Availability is determined by your location, the team or competition, the plan shown for your ZIP code, and any exclusive broadcast agreement affecting the game. The most reliable sequence is to check eligibility first, review the exact offer at checkout, and then install DAZN on the device you intend to use.

What MSG+ is—and what it is not
- MSG+ is a streaming subscription for eligible MSG programming. It is delivered through DAZN rather than through a separate MSG+ app purchase flow.
- It is not a universal pass to every game shown on the MSG Network. Regional rights and blackouts can remove individual games from live viewing in a particular location.
- It is not automatically included with every DAZN subscription. You must see MSG+ in the offer presented for your ZIP code and select a plan that includes the coverage you need.
- TV-provider login is a separate route. If your pay-TV provider is eligible, DAZN can authenticate your existing subscription; that does not make the access cable-free.
Check ZIP-code eligibility before subscribing
Territorial rules are the first practical hurdle. Gotham Sports warns that terms and territorial restrictions apply, and the Buffalo Sabres’ 2026 announcement directs fans to check availability by ZIP code. The same team announcement describes its broadcast territory as including Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and other surrounding markets. Those locations are Sabres-specific examples, not a universal map for every MSG team or event.
- Open the current MSG+ offer through DAZN.
- Enter the ZIP code associated with the location where you will watch.
- Review which teams, games, and plan types appear for that ZIP code.
- Check the individual game’s availability before completing payment, especially if the event is close to the date of purchase.
If the service does not display MSG+ for your ZIP code, do not substitute a random ZIP code or use a VPN to bypass the territory. The offer is location-dependent, and a different address can produce a different lineup or violate the service terms.

How to compare monthly, annual, and single-game choices
For the Sabres’ announced 2026–27 rates, twelve months at the introductory monthly schedule would total $349.88 before taxes or other charges: $19.99 for month one plus 11 months at $29.99. The stated $249.99 annual option would therefore be $99.89 lower if both offers remained available to the same customer for a full year. That arithmetic applies only to those announced Sabres prices; it does not establish the price or renewal terms for another team or ZIP code.

A single-game purchase can make sense when you need one event and do not expect to watch more. At $9.99 per Sabres game, 26 purchases would equal $259.74, slightly more than the announced $249.99 annual price. That comparison is useful only if the annual plan covers the same games and is offered in your territory. Always compare the game list and renewal terms, not just the headline amount.
How to sign up on the web
DAZN’s MSG+ signup guidance covers browser, television, and mobile pathways. The labels can change as the service updates its interface, but the account sequence is consistent.
- Open DAZN’s MSG+ signup flow. Start from the current MSG+ offer rather than assuming a general DAZN plan includes it.
- Enter your location information. Supply the ZIP code requested by the service so it can show the applicable territory and plans.
- Choose the exact coverage you need. Check whether the offer is a monthly bundle, annual subscription, single-game purchase, or a team-specific package.
- Read the restrictions beside the price. Look for territory language, renewal timing, cancellation terms, and any notice that a game may be unavailable because of another broadcaster’s exclusive rights.
- Create or use your DAZN account. If you already had MSG+ access, use the same registered email address when DAZN asks you to sign in or link the subscription.
- Complete payment only after checking the game. Open the schedule or event page and confirm that the specific matchup is listed as available in your location.
- Sign in on each viewing device. Use the same DAZN credentials on your browser, phone, tablet, or television app rather than creating separate accounts.
Ways to watch after subscribing
Web browser
Use a current desktop or laptop browser supported by DAZN, sign in at the DAZN website, and open the MSG+ content area. Browser viewing is the quickest way to test the account before installing an app. If the event page shows a location restriction in the browser, installing the TV app will not remove that restriction.
Android and iOS phones or tablets
Install the official DAZN app from your device’s app store, sign in with the account used for MSG+, and search for the team or event. Mobile access is useful for verifying that your subscription works while away from your television, but cellular data usage and a weak connection can reduce picture quality.

Smart TVs and streaming players
DAZN’s MSG+ instructions name Android TV, tvOS, and Roku as television pathways. Open the device’s app store, install DAZN, launch it, and enter the same account credentials. The instructions do not confirm every television generation or every Roku model, so check DAZN’s current device-support page or the listing in your device’s app store before buying hardware.
If your television does not support the app
A Roku streaming device is a reasonable generic hardware option for a TV that lacks the DAZN app because Roku is explicitly named in DAZN’s television instructions. No particular Roku model is established here as universally compatible. Check the exact model, operating-system version, HDMI requirement, and DAZN app availability before ordering.
Using a TV-provider login
DAZN’s MSG+ signup help also describes authentication through an eligible television provider. Select the provider in DAZN’s login flow and enter the credentials associated with that pay-TV account. If the provider has the required MSG rights, DAZN can unlock the available MSG+ content without asking you to purchase a separate direct subscription.
This route is useful for someone who already pays for an eligible television package. It is not a cable-free plan: the underlying provider subscription remains necessary, and authenticated access can be limited to the channels or events included in that provider’s agreement.

Blackouts, regional restrictions, and exclusive rights
Buying MSG+ does not guarantee that every regular-season game will be live everywhere. DAZN explains that exclusive broadcasting agreements can make certain games unavailable in a viewer’s region and publishes a blackout listing that can change.
Before each important game
- Open the current DAZN blackout or availability listing.
- Search for the exact team, opponent, date, and competition.
- Check the location associated with your account and viewing device.
- Look for an alternative broadcaster named in the listing.
- Recheck close to game time if the event is important, because the published list is subject to change.
A blackout is different from a technical failure. If the event is intentionally unavailable because another broadcaster has exclusive rights, reinstalling the app, changing devices, or restarting your router will not make it appear. The correct alternative depends on the rights notice for that specific game.

The Buffalo Sabres’ September 20, 2026 announcement says fans outside the team’s stated broadcast territory can continue to stream Sabres games on ESPN+. That guidance is specific to Sabres games and the rights arrangement described in the 2026–27 announcement. It should not be generalized to Knicks, Rangers, Islanders, Devils, or other teams whose rights may differ.
If you are in the Sabres territory, use the ZIP-code check for the MSG+ offer and review the game listing. If you are outside that territory, compare the event’s out-of-market option with the MSG+ offer shown to you; do not buy both until you know which service carries the games you actually want.

Troubleshooting common MSG+ problems
MSG+ does not appear after payment
- Sign out and back in with the email address used at signup.
- Confirm that payment completed and that the account is not in a trial, pending, or canceled state.
- Check whether you purchased a team-specific or single-game product rather than a broader bundle.
- Verify that the ZIP code and current location match the territory used during checkout.
The game is listed but will not play
- Check DAZN’s current blackout listing for the exact event.
- Try the browser version to distinguish an app issue from a rights restriction.
- Update the DAZN app and the operating system on your TV or mobile device.
- Restart the app and router, then test another network if available.
- If the listing names an exclusive broadcaster, use that broadcaster rather than treating the problem as a device failure.
Your TV cannot find DAZN
- Search the device’s official app store for DAZN, not for a separate MSG+ app.
- Check the television’s model and operating-system generation against DAZN’s current support information.
- Use a supported browser or mobile device as a temporary test.
- If the TV is unsupported, connect a compatible streaming player and verify its exact model before purchase.
Your TV-provider credentials fail

Account and cancellation checks
Before confirming a subscription, record the plan name, introductory price, regular renewal price, billing interval, and cancellation deadline shown on the checkout screen. Promotional terms can differ from the standard monthly amount, and the Sabres’ announced first-month price is followed by a higher recurring monthly rate.
Use the account page where you purchased the subscription to manage renewal or cancellation. Removing the DAZN app from a TV does not cancel billing. If you purchased through a separate app-store billing system, check that store’s subscription settings as well as DAZN’s account page.
