No single 2024 streaming service carried every NFL and college-football game. For the broadest legal U.S. coverage, viewers generally needed a live-TV streaming service or antenna for local broadcasts, NFL Sunday Ticket for out-of-market Sunday-afternoon games, Amazon Prime Video for Thursday nights, Netflix for the two Christmas Day games, and ESPN+ or other event-specific services for selected college games.
This guide defines “every” realistically: nationally distributed NFL games and major U.S. FBS college football available through mainstream broadcast, cable-replacement, conference, or official streaming services. It does not promise every FCS, Division II, Division III, NAIA, junior-college, school-produced, regional, or pay-per-view game.

The simplest serious setup was a broad live-TV service such as YouTube TV, Fubo or Hulu + Live TV, plus Sunday Ticket and the event-specific services. The lowest-cost setup usually began with an antenna and added only the services required by a viewer’s teams and schedule.
Part I: Streaming the NFL
Sunday afternoon: CBS, FOX and Sunday Ticket
CBS and FOX carried the normal Sunday-afternoon NFL packages. In-market games were available through an antenna, a live-TV streaming service carrying your local affiliates, or an authenticated participating TV provider.

NFL Sunday Ticket covered out-of-market Sunday-afternoon regular-season games carried by CBS and FOX. It did not replace local broadcasts. If a CBS or FOX game was assigned to your market, Sunday Ticket was not the solution; you needed the local station instead.
Sunday Ticket also did not include Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, Thursday Night Football, Netflix exclusives, or other nationally exclusive games. It was available through YouTube TV and as a standalone purchase through YouTube Primetime Channels; a YouTube TV base subscription was not necessarily required for the latter option. Plan rules covering location, simultaneous streams, students and commercial use were specific to the purchase and should be checked before subscribing.
Sunday Night Football
NBC carried Sunday Night Football. Use an antenna, a live-TV service with your local NBC affiliate, or another authorized NBC distribution path. A service carrying NBC in one market may not carry every NBC affiliate, so verify availability by ZIP code.

ESPN and ABC carried the regular Monday-night package, subject to schedule-specific simulcasts and exceptions. The practical requirement was access to ESPN through a qualifying live-TV provider or TV package. ESPN+ did not automatically provide the full ESPN linear channel.
Thursday Night Football and Black Friday
Amazon Prime Video carried the 2024 Thursday Night Football package, including the Black Friday game. A live-TV subscription and Sunday Ticket did not substitute for Prime Video. Consult the NFL’s live regular-season access guide for the applicable distribution details.
Christmas Day
Netflix streamed the two Christmas Day NFL games in 2024. Viewers who had only a live-TV service, Sunday Ticket and Prime Video still needed Netflix for those games. If you do not otherwise use Netflix, a short-term subscription around the event may be the most practical approach, subject to the plan terms available at the time.
NFL Network, Saturday games and NFL+
NFL Network carried selected games, including certain late-season and Saturday windows. A live-TV package containing NFL Network, or the applicable NFL+ plan, could be necessary for complete coverage.
NFL+ was not a substitute for Sunday Ticket. Depending on the plan, it could provide mobile-only in-market live games, preseason games, replays, audio and NFL Network access. Check the NFL Ways to Watch page and the plan’s current restrictions before relying on it.
International games and the postseason
International games in 2024 were assigned to different outlets depending on the matchup and location, including ESPN+, NFL Network and other designated distributors. Do not assume that one service covered every international game.

Postseason distribution also required checking the final schedule game by game. Broadcast-network playoff games, any Prime Video exclusive, and other streaming arrangements were not all covered by Sunday Ticket. The authoritative starting points are the NFL’s Ways to Watch page and the official schedule. A simulcast on a streaming app is different from a streaming-exclusive game.
Part II: Streaming college football
Why college football has no Sunday Ticket equivalent
College rights are divided among conferences, broadcast networks, cable sports networks, regional outlets, schools and digital platforms. A single Saturday can require ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, Big Ten Network, FS1, FS2, CBS Sports Network, The CW, Peacock, Paramount+ and ESPN+.
ESPN said its platforms carried nearly 1,000 college-football games in 2024, including inventory involving the SEC, ACC, Big 12, American, MAC, Sun Belt and SWAC. Use the ESPN College Football Where to Watch listing for the individual event rather than assuming a conference’s entire schedule follows one distribution rule.
The ESPN ecosystem
- ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU: Linear channels normally accessed through a live-TV provider.
- SEC Network and ACC Network: Dedicated linear conference channels that are not automatically included with ESPN+.
- ESPN+: A separate direct-to-consumer service for selected exclusive games and other digital inventory.
- SEC Network+ and ACCNX: Digital event designations generally accessed in the ESPN app with authentication from an eligible provider carrying the relevant conference network.
This distinction explains many failed streams: having ESPN+ does not mean you have every game listed under ESPN, SEC Network or ACC Network.
SEC
In 2024, the SEC’s primary package moved from CBS to ABC and ESPN. Games appeared across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, SEC Network and related digital services. The SEC Championship Game was on ABC.
Games labeled SEC Network+ generally required an eligible TV-provider login rather than an ESPN+ subscription alone. Check the SEC Network viewing guide and the event listing in the ESPN app.

Big Ten
The 2024 Big Ten distribution used CBS, FOX, FS1, NBC, Peacock and Big Ten Network, with selected digital and partner distributions. CBS-carried games could be available through Paramount+ where the corresponding live CBS feed and local-market conditions supported it. NBC games could require Peacock, and BTN generally required a qualifying live-TV package or sports add-on.
Do not confuse CBS with CBS Sports Network: they are separate channels. Review the Big Ten rights overview and the individual game listing.
ACC
ACC games appeared across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network, ACCNX and selected partner outlets, including The CW for some matchups. The ACC Championship Game was carried by ABC in 2024. An ESPN+ account did not automatically unlock ACC Network or ACCNX.

Big 12
The Big 12’s core distribution involved ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FOX, FS1 and ESPN+, with selected additional outlets. Some games were digital exclusives, but not every Big 12 game was on ESPN+. Check each matchup’s listing through ESPN or the conference schedule.
Notre Dame
NBC carried many Notre Dame home games, while Peacock handled selected games and NBC-related exclusives. Away games could follow the rights arrangement of the opposing conference or network, so a Notre Dame fan must check every game rather than subscribe to one service blindly.
Other FBS conferences and teams
A complete major-FBS plan must account for the American Athletic Conference, Mountain West, Sun Belt, Conference USA, MAC, remaining Pac-12-related inventory, service academies and independents. ESPN platforms carried substantial Group of Five inventory; FOX Sports, CBS Sports Network, The CW and ESPN+ also carried selected games. Some games appeared on school or conference digital platforms.
This is where the meaning of “every” becomes especially important. FBS coverage is broad but fragmented, and lower-division football may use separate services such as ESPN+, FloSports, institutional streams, conference platforms or pay-per-view products.
Championship games, bowls and the College Football Playoff
Conference championships, bowl games and the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff required a postseason schedule check. The 2024–25 CFP included first-round games, quarterfinals, semifinals and the national championship, but the same service did not necessarily carry every major college-football postseason event.

Confirm the exact channel or streaming destination for each game using the ESPN college-football listings and the official CFP schedule. Do not infer postseason coverage solely from regular-season conference contracts.
Which services fill which gaps?
YouTube TV
YouTube TV was a strong general-purpose starting point because it could combine local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliates with ESPN and major sports networks, with Sunday Ticket integration. Channel availability depended on the plan and market. It did not include Prime Video’s Thursday games, Netflix exclusives or every ESPN+ event.
Its multiview features were useful for busy Saturdays, but they did not expand the rights included in the subscription.
Fubo
Fubo could be useful for viewers needing many college-football channels and local networks in supported markets. Its own college-football help page notes that ESPN+ events do not simply appear in the standard college-football guide and that ACCNX and SEC Network+ use separate ESPN authentication paths.

Hulu + Live TV
Hulu + Live TV could serve as a broad cable replacement with major broadcast and ESPN-family coverage. Confirm the exact 2024 plan, local affiliates and conference networks available in your ZIP code before treating it as a complete college-football solution.
Sling TV
Sling could reduce costs for ESPN-heavy viewers, especially when paired with the relevant Sports Extra. However, local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC coverage was limited by market, and an antenna might be necessary. Sling was a selective budget option, not a stand-alone every-game package. Its college-football guide explains the relevant channel and local-market caveats.
Paramount+
Paramount+ was useful for eligible CBS NFL games and CBS-carried college football, including Big Ten games in the 2024 CBS package. It did not provide FOX, NBC, ESPN, Sunday Ticket or CBS Sports Network. Live local CBS availability depended on the market and plan.
Peacock
Peacock mattered for selected NBC, Big Ten and Notre Dame games, including events distributed exclusively through Peacock. It was not a universal replacement for NBC: check whether a particular game was simulcast on the local NBC station or exclusive to Peacock.
Amazon Prime Video and Netflix
These services were rights-specific NFL supplements. Prime Video handled Thursday Night Football and Black Friday; Netflix handled the two Christmas Day games. Neither was a broad college-football channel package.
Antenna
An antenna could provide local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC broadcasts without a monthly subscription. It did not provide out-of-market NFL games, ESPN, conference networks, CBS Sports Network or streaming exclusives. Reception depended on location, building materials, antenna placement and local transmitter distance, so check reception by ZIP code before buying.

Simplest broad-coverage setup
- Choose YouTube TV, Fubo or Hulu + Live TV after verifying local channels and required sports networks.
- Add NFL Sunday Ticket if out-of-market Sunday-afternoon NFL games matter.
- Add Amazon Prime Video for Thursday Night Football and Black Friday.
- Keep Netflix available for the Christmas Day NFL games.
- Add ESPN+ for college digital exclusives.
- Add Peacock, Paramount+, CBS Sports Network access or another service only when a scheduled game requires it.
- Ensure your live-TV plan or NFL+ provides any NFL Network games you need.
This is the least complicated approach, but it is not necessarily the cheapest.
Lowest-cost serious setup
- Use an antenna for local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC.
- Choose a targeted ESPN/FOX package such as Sling plus the appropriate Sports Extra if it covers your conferences and market.
- Add ESPN+ for digital college exclusives.
- Use Prime Video for Thursday NFL and Netflix for Christmas NFL.
- Add Peacock, Paramount+ or a broader live-TV service only for actual schedule gaps.
This approach saves money but requires weekly schedule checking and may become less economical for viewers who need many conference networks.

Use an antenna or live-TV service for local CBS, FOX and NBC; add Sunday Ticket for out-of-market Sunday afternoons; add Prime Video and Netflix for their exclusive games; and add NFL Network access where required. NFL RedZone can be useful for highlights and simultaneous scoring action, but it is not a complete-game service.

College-heavy setup
Prioritize a plan carrying ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, FOX, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network, NBC and CBS Sports Network where available. Add ESPN+ for digital exclusives, Peacock for selected NBC/Big Ten/Notre Dame games, Paramount+ for CBS games if necessary, and an antenna or The CW access for applicable local broadcasts.
Use this weekly checklist
- Look up the exact game on the official NFL, conference, ESPN or network schedule.
- Record the precise label: ESPN, ESPN+, SEC Network, SEC Network+, ACC Network, ACCNX, CBS, CBS Sports Network, FOX, FS1, NBC, Peacock or another outlet.
- Verify your ZIP-code lineup for ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and The CW.
- For NFL games, determine whether a CBS/FOX game is local, out of market or nationally exclusive.
- Check whether the game is live, delayed, replay-only or subject to a provider login.
- Confirm household, device, simultaneous-stream and location rules for each service.
Common problems
“I bought Sunday Ticket but cannot watch the local game.”
That is expected. Local CBS and FOX games are excluded. Use the local affiliate through an antenna, live-TV service or authenticated provider.
“I have ESPN+ but the SEC game asks for a TV provider.”
The event is probably on SEC Network or SEC Network+, rather than being an ESPN+ standalone stream. You need a qualifying provider and must authenticate in the ESPN app.

Check whether the game is on CBS or CBS Sports Network, whether your local CBS feed is available, whether Paramount+ carries the applicable live CBS stream, and whether the game was assigned to another network.
“I have NBC, so why is the game on Peacock?”
Some events are Peacock exclusives or have special streaming distribution. An NBC simulcast and a Peacock-only game are different products.
“The listing says ESPN, but I cannot find it.”
Check ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, ESPN+, SEC Network+ and ACCNX. Also check authentication, blackouts and the official event listing rather than relying on a generic channel guide.
“Can I use a VPN to get another market’s NFL game?”
Do not treat a VPN as a reliable or policy-safe workaround. Location verification and service terms can prevent playback, and changing your apparent location does not change the rights assigned to your account’s market.
What “every game” cannot realistically mean
For the NFL, the combination above can cover nationally distributed regular-season and postseason games, provided local channels and event-specific services are available. It still does not make one subscription sufficient.
For college football, no mainstream package guarantees every game in the entire U.S. football ecosystem. FBS games are already split among numerous outlets, while FCS, Division II, Division III, NAIA, junior-college, school-produced, regional and pay-per-view games may require separate services or may not have a standardized national stream at all.
Also distinguish live access from replays. NFL+ and individual network services may offer replays or condensed games, but replay availability is not equivalent to live viewing.
Final buying decision
Start with your ZIP code and favorite teams, not with a brand name. If you want the simplest broad NFL-and-college setup, begin with a live-TV service that carries your local affiliates and the necessary sports networks, then add Sunday Ticket, Prime Video, Netflix and ESPN+ as the schedule requires. If cost matters more than convenience, use an antenna and targeted subscriptions, accepting that you will need to check every game’s exact network and authentication requirement.
Before subscribing, verify the dated plan lineup, local affiliate availability, device restrictions, location rules and whether the listing refers to a live channel, an authenticated stream or a standalone exclusive.
