To loop a Malayalam music playlist on YouTube Live, create an encoder stream in YouTube Studio, send it from OBS, and loop either a single local media file or a multi-file playlist. Before going public, confirm that you have permission for every recording and composition in the playlist to be livestreamed and, if you plan to keep the replay, archived.
Check your channel and music rights first
Make sure the channel can livestream
YouTube’s current eligibility guidance says a streamer must be at least 16, have a verified channel, and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Check the channel’s eligibility before preparing the broadcast: YouTube’s livestreaming access requirements.
Clear the exact tracks for live use
A song being available on YouTube, labelled “free,” or purchased for personal listening does not establish permission to rebroadcast it. YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility on the provider to hold the necessary rights, including music rights from artists, labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. Confirm that your permissions cover the live transmission, intended territories, and any archived replay. The relevant rights depend on the specific compositions, recordings, owners, and licence terms; this is not a clearance for any particular Malayalam song.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can cause a placeholder to replace the stream, and unresolved content can lead to interruption or termination. If you have a third-party licence, YouTube advises asking the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Even licensed content may be interrupted if the channel is not allowlisted, and an archived stream can receive a Content ID claim after it ends. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Creator Music is not a substitute for live-stream permissions: YouTube says its licensed and revenue-sharing tracks are for long-form videos and cannot be used in livestreams or Shorts. YouTube identifies its Audio Library, original music, and third-party catalogues as possible sources, but you still need to check the specific terms for live use and replay. See YouTube’s Creator Music guidance.
Choose the OBS loop method
One combined audio or video file
Use an OBS Media Source if the playlist is already combined into one local file. Add a still image or other visual to the scene, add the file as a Media Source, then enable its Loop option. OBS lists MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV among the audio formats supported by Media Source. The visual matters because the broadcast is a video stream even when the programme is primarily music.

Several separate tracks
Use an OBS VLC Video source for a playlist of separate files. Install VLC first, add the files to the source playlist, and enable Loop Playlist. The source also supports shuffle. The official setup information does not establish that either method creates a seamless crossfade, so do not assume tracks will blend without a gap.
For the OBS source options, see the OBS Media Sources documentation. Decide whether you need one file or a multi-file playlist, and whether shuffle is useful; whichever source you choose, check the audio level and the visual in the preview.

Set up YouTube Live and OBS
- Create the encoder stream: In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live and set up an encoder stream in Live Control Room. Choose the stream’s privacy and enter its metadata there.
- Copy the stream key: Copy the key shown by YouTube and enter it in OBS’s stream settings. YouTube uses this credential to identify where the encoder should send the feed and to accept it. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it.
- Build the OBS scene: Add a still image or other visual, then add either the single-file Media Source or the VLC Video playlist. Turn on Loop or Loop Playlist for the source you selected.
- Check sound and picture: Confirm the OBS audio meters move during playback and that the intended audio device is selected. Review the scene so the visual and audio are correct.
- Test before going public: Run a short test and check YouTube’s Live Control Room preview before starting the public broadcast. OBS recommends testing, and YouTube recommends checking the preview; these are practical setup checks, not a guarantee against later problems.
- Start the broadcast: When the preview is correct, start streaming from OBS and confirm the stream is live in Live Control Room. Keep the stream key private.
Troubleshoot common loop problems
- The playlist stops instead of repeating: Check that Loop is enabled on the Media Source, or Loop Playlist is enabled on the VLC Video source. For a multi-file playlist, confirm VLC is installed.
- The stream reaches YouTube but has no sound: Check OBS’s audio meters, the selected audio device, and that the chosen source is playing the intended file.
- YouTube does not accept the encoder feed: Check that OBS has the stream key from the correct Live Control Room stream and that the key has not been exposed or replaced. Re-enter the current key if necessary.
- The broadcast is interrupted or replaced by a placeholder: YouTube may have detected third-party content. Resolve the rights issue with the relevant owners; if you have a licence, ask them about adding your channel to their Content ID allowlist.
- A claim appears after the stream: Archived streams may receive Content ID claims after the live broadcast ends. Check that the licence also covered the replay and the relevant territories.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you do not want a computer and home internet connection to remain on for the loop, StreamNeo runs an uploaded video as a 24/7 YouTube stream from the cloud. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay running at home; the video streams as uploaded at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting from a camera, and it streams to YouTube.
