To stream a looping video at a scheduled time, schedule the event in YouTube Studio and use an encoder to send a video feed that repeats. Scheduling creates the event and its watch page; it does not make a video loop by itself. You can start the encoder feed manually and confirm the event in YouTube’s Live Control Room, or use a cloud service to run the uploaded video without leaving a computer on.
Before you schedule: enable YouTube live streaming
If this is your first time going live on the channel, enable live streaming in YouTube Studio ahead of the event. YouTube says first-time enablement may take up to 24 hours; that is a possible wait, not a promised or typical processing time. See YouTube Help: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
Once live streaming is enabled, YouTube says a stream can go live instantly. Allow time before your advertised start to configure the encoder, send the feed, and check the preview.
Schedule the YouTube event

In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live.

Open the Manage tab and select Schedule stream.

Choose to reuse settings or create a new event. Set the event’s title, description, visibility, thumbnail and scheduled date and time, then save it.

Use the scheduled event’s watch page to promote the broadcast. Viewers can find the page in advance and opt in to notifications.
Scheduling establishes when the event is planned to begin; you still need to supply a live encoder feed at the scheduled time. YouTube’s event and encoder instructions are in YouTube Help.
Make the video repeat in an encoder
Choose an encoder that can play your video file or playlist repeatedly. The repeat setting belongs to the encoder or its media source, not to the YouTube scheduled-event page. OBS is one software encoder option, but the YouTube pages cited here do not document current OBS loop-control menus, so consult current OBS documentation for the exact interface steps rather than relying on outdated click paths.
Before the broadcast, confirm that the encoder is set to repeat the intended file or playlist and that it can keep sending the feed for the full planned duration. A scheduled event alone cannot continue playing a local file if the encoder or the computer running it stops.
Connect the encoder and start the scheduled stream

Open the scheduled event in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and retrieve its stream URL and stream key.

In the encoder, select YouTube if it offers that connection, or enter the event’s stream URL as the server and its stream key in the key field.

Treat the stream key like a password. Do not publish it or share it with people who should not be able to send a feed to your channel. YouTube’s connection guidance is in its encoder help page and live streaming settings.

Start the repeating feed from the encoder. Wait for the incoming-stream preview in Live Control Room and check that video and audio are present.

For the documented manual flow, click Go live in Live Control Room when the preview is ready. YouTube also has auto-start settings, but check that auto-start is enabled for the actual event if you expect it to begin without that manual confirmation. Google’s API documents scheduled-start and automatic-start behavior at LiveBroadcasts.
Check rights and the event before airtime
Make sure you have the rights needed to stream every video, music track and other material in the loop. Scheduling or repeating a recording does not grant permission to use it, and a live event remains subject to YouTube’s rules. Check YouTube’s current Community Guidelines and copyright guidance. Keep the title and description accurate about what viewers will see.

Confirm the correct scheduled event is open and the encoder has that event’s stream key.

Check that the video and audio preview correctly before the event begins.

Decide whether a person will click Go live or whether the event is configured for auto-start.

Plan how the encoder will remain connected for the whole broadcast and who will monitor it.
End the stream and understand the archive limit
When the broadcast is finished, stop the stream deliberately in the encoder and end the event in Live Control Room if it has not ended already. YouTube Help states that streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That guidance does not establish that a longer looping broadcast will produce one complete replay, so do not rely on a single full archive for a stream lasting 12 hours or more. Troubleshooting scheduled looping streams

Live streaming is not available yet: If the channel has never streamed, complete YouTube’s live-stream enablement and allow for the possible first-time delay of up to 24 hours.

The event is scheduled, but no video appears: Scheduling does not send media. Start the encoder and verify its server URL and stream key against the scheduled event.

The feed appears, but the event has not started: Wait for the preview, then click Go live unless you have confirmed auto-start is enabled for that event.

The video plays once and stops: The repeat behavior is controlled by the encoder or media source. Check its loop setting and confirm that the selected file or playlist is the one intended.

The stream ends when the computer shuts down: A local encoder needs the computer and connection that are sending its feed to remain available. Use a cloud-running option if you do not want the stream to depend on a computer at home.

The replay is incomplete or absent after a very long stream: YouTube’s cited automatic-archive guidance applies to streams under 12 hours; it does not promise a complete archive for longer broadcasts.
