यह केवल Windows के sleep timeout को संभालता है—बिजली, इंटरनेट, OBS के बंद होने या encoder overload से स्ट्रीम सुरक्षित रहने की गारंटी नहीं देता।
पहले समझें: Sleep OBS की नहीं, PC की power setting है
OBS कंप्यूटर पर चलता है। अगर Windows PC को sleep में भेजता है, तो OBS भी काम जारी नहीं रख पाएगा। इसलिए इसका सीधा हल OBS में कोई switch ढूँढ़ना नहीं, बल्कि Windows का sleep timeout बदलना है। उपलब्ध आधिकारिक OBS system guidance में अलग “keep PC awake” switch दर्ज नहीं है।
नीचे दिए गए रास्ते Windows 11 के लिए हैं। डिवाइस, हार्डवेयर और Windows की उपलब्ध सेटिंग के अनुसार विकल्पों के नाम या चुनाव थोड़े अलग हो सकते हैं।

Windows 11 में plugged-in sleep timeout बदलें
- स्ट्रीमिंग PC को AC power से जोड़ें। लैपटॉप इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं तो lid बंद करने पर क्या होता है, यह भी जाँचें: lid action अलग power control है।
- Start > Settings > System > Power & battery > Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts खोलें।
- Make my device sleep after के plugged-in विकल्प को Never चुनें, या ऐसा समय रखें जो आपकी स्ट्रीम से लंबा हो। Microsoft के अनुसार यह setting तय करती है कि उपयोग न होने पर plugged-in और battery पर डिवाइस कितनी देर बाद sleep में जाए।
- यदि डिस्प्ले लगातार चालू रखने की जरूरत नहीं है, तो Turn my screen off after को छोटी अवधि पर सेट करें। यह स्क्रीन बंद करता है; अपने-आप sleep timeout नहीं बदलता।
- सेटिंग लागू होने के बाद उसी power source, स्क्रीन स्थिति और OBS scene के साथ स्ट्रीम चलाकर जाँचें।
कई लैपटॉप में battery पर sleep का विकल्प plugged-in विकल्प से अलग होता है। 24/7 प्रसारण के लिए AC पर चलाना अधिक उपयुक्त है; unplugged रहने पर चुनी गई battery setting के कारण PC फिर भी sleep में जा सकता है।
सेटिंग के बाद भी PC सो जाए तो
अगर plugged-in timeout बदलने के बावजूद PC sleep में जाता है, तो उसी Windows स्क्रीन पर चुनी गई setting के साथ इन अलग नियंत्रणों को देखें। इनका व्यवहार निर्माता और डिवाइस के अनुसार बदल सकता है।

- लैपटॉप का lid: स्ट्रीम के दौरान lid बंद करने पर PC sleep में जा सकता है। Lid बंद करके स्ट्रीम चलानी हो तो निर्माता की power utility और Windows में lid/power-button action जाँचें।
- अलग power utility या device policy: निर्माता का सॉफ्टवेयर, कार्यस्थल की device policy या कोई अन्य power control Windows timeout पर असर डाल सकता है।
- Scheduled maintenance: यदि PC किसी तय समय पर बंद या sleep होता है, तो उस समय के आसपास चलने वाले scheduled कार्यों और power controls की जाँच करें।
- पावर बटन या ढक्कन की क्रिया: ये sleep timeout से अलग हो सकते हैं; केवल timeout को Never करना हर power action को निष्क्रिय नहीं करता।
ये संभावित जाँच-बिंदु हैं, हर डिवाइस के लिए पुष्ट कारण नहीं। बदलाव के बाद वास्तविक स्ट्रीम के दौरान परीक्षण करें।
PC जागा रहना लगातार प्रसारण की पूरी गारंटी क्यों नहीं
Sleep रोकने से Windows PC चालू रहता है, पर OBS की निरंतरता पर CPU/GPU क्षमता, encoder, resolution, frame rate, scene की जटिलता, बिजली और इंटरनेट का भी असर होता है। OBS की system guidance के अनुसार compatible system होना अपने-आप streaming क्षमता की गारंटी नहीं देता। OBS में encoding overload दिखे तो GPU पर भार घटाएँ, अन्य भारी GPU applications बंद करके देखें, या scene और encoder settings सरल करें।

YouTube encoder और stream health जाँचें
YouTube Live encoder setup में YouTube का server URL और stream key encoder में जोड़ना, encoder शुरू करना और Live Control Room में preview तथा stream health देखना शामिल है। YouTube की encoder guidance RTMP/RTMPS, H.264 और CBR का उल्लेख करती है। Bitrate के लिए कोई एक संख्या हर PC और कनेक्शन पर लागू नहीं होती: अपने उपलब्ध upload bandwidth और scene के अनुरूप चुनें, और वास्तविक audio तथा motion वाले कंटेंट से पहले परीक्षण करें।
- OBS में YouTube का सही stream key और server जानकारी इस्तेमाल करें। Stream key निजी रखें।
- लाइव जाने से पहले upload connection पर परीक्षण करें और YouTube Live Control Room में stream health देखें।
- अगर encoding overload हो, तो समस्या को sleep timeout न मानें: पहले GPU load, दूसरे भारी applications और जटिल settings जाँचें।
- कॉपीराइट-सुरक्षित सामग्री ही प्रसारित करें। किसी वीडियो को live loop करना अपने-आप उसके अधिकार नहीं देता; YouTube की copyright और reused-content नीतियों का पालन करें।
24/7 stream का replay चाहिए तो archive पर अकेले निर्भर न रहें
YouTube Help के अनुसार 12 घंटे से कम की live stream अपने-आप archive हो सकती है; 12 घंटे से लंबी stream शायद capture न हो। यह 12 घंटे की सीमा YouTube की archive guidance में बताई गई है; उस पृष्ठ पर प्रकाशन वर्ष निर्दिष्ट नहीं है और जानकारी 3 अक्टूबर 2026 को सत्यापित थी। इससे किसी खास stream का archive बनने की गारंटी नहीं मिलती। पूरा replay जरूरी हो तो स्थानीय recording को backup के रूप में रखें और लंबे प्रसारण के archive को निश्चित न मानें।
