To stream a prerecorded prenatal yoga relaxation video continuously on YouTube Live, create or schedule a Live event in YouTube Studio, then send the video and audio to it from an encoder configured with that event’s stream URL and stream key. YouTube’s watch-page Loop control repeats ordinary playback; it does not send a video into a Live broadcast.
Before you start: confirm your channel can go live
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions during the previous 90 days. If you have never enabled Live on the channel, activation can take up to 24 hours, so check well before your intended broadcast. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance and current interface details.
Create the YouTube Live event
- Open YouTube Studio and go to the Live Control Room.
- Create a new stream or select a scheduled event. Set the title, description, privacy, and schedule, and review the event details.
- Locate the event’s stream URL and stream key. YouTube describes the event and the incoming audiovisual feed as distinct parts of the broadcast; the event page alone does not play your source video. The YouTube Live Streaming API documentation also distinguishes broadcasts from streams.
Set up a looping prerecorded feed
Use encoder software or hardware that can send a prerecorded source to YouTube and has a documented option to repeat or loop that source. Configure the encoder with the event’s stream URL and key, choose the local video and audio, and enable source repetition in the encoder’s own controls. Exact steps vary by encoder, so consult its current documentation and test that the source restarts cleanly at the end before relying on it for a continuous broadcast.
Treat the stream key as a credential: anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your event. Keep it private and use YouTube’s controls to change or reset it if it is exposed. YouTube’s guide explains the encoder handoff: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Choose settings compatible with YouTube and your connection
Use the settings supported by both your encoder and YouTube’s current ingestion guidance. YouTube lists H.264, H.265, and AV1 video; AAC or MP3 audio; constant bitrate encoding; frame rates up to 60 fps; and a recommended two-second keyframe interval that should not exceed four seconds. Its bitrate recommendations vary by resolution and codec, so select from the current table rather than treating one bitrate as right for every stream. Match the bitrate to the stable upload capacity available to the encoder and test stream health before broadcasting.
YouTube recommends RTMPS, an encrypted extension of RTMP. Choose the matching protocol and settings in your encoder, and check YouTube’s live encoder settings for current details: YouTube live encoder settings.

Preview, test, and monitor the broadcast
- Set up the encoder ahead of the scheduled start and begin sending the feed before the event is due to begin.
- Check the Live Control Room preview. Confirm that the video is visible and that both narration and music, if present, are audible and balanced.
- Test with audio and movement similar to the finished video. Verify that the event opens from the channel and watch page, and check access on a mobile device if viewers are likely to use one.
- Monitor stream health and audio/video quality during the broadcast. YouTube’s guidance covers testing, previewing, and checking stream status: YouTube live-streaming tips and encoder setup guidance.
You do not need expensive production equipment just to start. YouTube supports encoder setups that use external audio hardware, including a microphone, but add equipment only if a test shows that your existing audio is unclear or unsuitable.
Review the prenatal content and rights before going live
Have the actual movement sequence reviewed by a qualified prenatal yoga professional or obstetric professional before presenting it as prenatal content. Confirm that you have the rights to every video, music track, voice recording, and other element in the feed. A prerecorded video playing as a Live broadcast remains subject to YouTube’s copyright rules and platform policies. Read YouTube’s current copyright guidance and channel monetization policies; permission to use a track or video does not by itself guarantee monetization eligibility.
Common problems and what to check
- The event is waiting for data: confirm the encoder is running and uses the URL and key for the correct event.
- The source stops at the end: check that looping is enabled for the media source in the encoder, not merely for playback in a browser or YouTube watch page. Test a full repeat before scheduling an unattended broadcast.
- The stream is unstable or drops frames: check encoder stream health and whether the selected bitrate exceeds what the connection can sustain. Use YouTube’s recommendations for the chosen resolution and codec; reduce settings if the connection cannot hold them steadily.
- Viewers cannot hear narration or music: check the encoder’s audio input and meters, then listen to the Live Control Room preview. Adjust levels or input selection before going live.
- The stream key may have been exposed: treat it as compromised and reset it using YouTube’s controls, then update the encoder with the replacement key.
- Live is unavailable: confirm channel verification and check for a live-stream restriction; first-time activation can take up to 24 hours.
